Jackie tells Nick about her engagement - and about Eric's wedding to Stephanie.
Jackie is at her penthouse, showing off her engagement ring to Nick. It's gorgeous, isn't it? She asks. Nick says she's gorgeous, especially when she's happy. He's glad to see that Eric makes her happy. He does, she admits. Nick asks if they set a date. That depends on family circumstances, she says. Nick guesses she's talking about Felicia; actually, she says, Eric is marrying Stephanie first. Nick is shocked! Jackie explains that the marriage will on be short term, but Nick's still not happy that his mother's fiancee is marrying someone else tonight. He won't let that happen to HIS mother!

Dr. Namura checks up on Felicia.
Dr. Namura drops by the Forrester guest house to give Felicia a check up while Stephanie looks on. The doctor asks Felicia how her pain is; she says it's about a 3, but when he doesn't buy that, she admits it's more like a 7. She says that she doesn't want to take any more pain medication, since she doesn't want to be out of it when her parents get married tonight. The doctor looks over to a corner with a wheelchair piled with supplies, a walker and a cane and guesses that the hospice nurse has been by. Felicia quips that dying should attract better designers. The doctor asks her how morphine supply is. Stephanie worries that morphine is addictive; Felicia quips that she's going to die a dope fiend, just like Stephanie always predicted. She then thanks the doctor for his help; she knows this isn't easy for him, since he's supposed to heal people. The thing, she explains, is that something IS healing in her and her family, and she has him to thank for that. The doctor thanks her. After telling her to call his service if she needs anything, he leaves.

Stephanie tells Felicia about her issues with God.
After showing the doctor out, Stephanie scolds Felicia for not saying that she's in such pain. Felicia jokes that she just loves lying to her mother. As she helps Felicia back to bed, Stephanie says that the wedding doesn't have to happen today. Felicia laughs and accuses her parents of thinking they're doing this for her, but planning to end the marriage as soon as she's gone. Stephanie supposes she could get used to Eric, who grows on her like a fungus. Felicia guesses that Stephanie expects Eric to dump her soon for Jackie Payne; that's not going to happen, Felicia says, because there's a higher court at work that she's going to get to first. She finds that thought amusing, since she's never been close to God. Stephanie admits that she's had issues of her own with God lately, making him all sorts of promises to keep his hands off her daughter. Felicia asks Stephanie not to do that. She explains that there are times at night when she lies there, feeling like she's about to take her last breath, but then it stops. She knows then that she'll be OK. So go ahead and yell at God all she wants, Felicia tells her mom, but please don't ask him to leave her. Stephanie agrees and smiles.

Kristen wants to know how Felicia is.
Up at the main house, Eric, Ridge and Thorne greet Kristen. Thorne asks about her husband Tony and their son Zende. She says that they're fine. They wanted to come, but she didn't know what to expect. She was already packing to come see Felicia when she got a weird invitation. Ridge says that's their little sister's handiwork. Kristen asks Eric if he's getting married; Thorne says he is, leading Kristen to joke that she needs a scorecard to track her dad's marriages, especially since she thought he and her mom were barely speaking. Eric explains to her that Felicia wants this to happen, hoping that remarrying will lead him and Stephanie to something they won't regret. Maybe she's right, Kristen suggests. She then asks how bad Felicia's condition is. Ridge replies that she knows everything they do. Eric adds that Felicia isn't in great shape, but is still "their" Felicia. Kristen worries that she might fall apart if she goes to see Felicia alone, so Ridge and Thorne agree to go to the guest house with her.
When they arrive at the guest house, Felicia is pleased to see her sister. When Kristen looks at her, Felicia quips that she knows that she looks like hell. Kristen tries to deny it, but Felicia looks to her brothers to confirm that everyone has to agree with anything she says. Stephanie helps Felicia out of bed so she can hug her sister, who's in tears. Felicia says that she knows what's going on: she thinks Kristen looks at her and gets a glimpse of Tony's future. Tony isn't going to be like this, Felicia says; he's still healthy, and unlike her "wily old colon cancer," there are plenty of new treatments for HIV being developed every day. With Felicia ending her lecture, Kristen asks how she knew. She then admits that Felicia is only partially right, since some of these tears come from thinking about her sister. Felicia says she knows Kristen loves her. She suggests that Kristen move back to L.A. so the family can be close, but she then takes it back. All that's important, she says, is that her sister is here now. Kristen asks what she can do. Felicia asks for help with her hair, to keep Stephanie from doing it and making her look like Dame Edna. Stephanie and Kristen laugh.

Eric defends his decision to Nick.
Up at the main house, Nick comes by to see Eric. Eric realizes why Nick is here and understands how this must look to Nick, who's not happy that Eric is engaged to his mother, but marrying Stephanie. Eric reminds him that the pre-nups they've drawn up will annul the marriage once... he pauses and then continues, once it's served its purpose. Nick doesn't go for that; since Eric is engaged to his mother, he wants Eric to stop this wedding now! Eric says that he can't, as they are doing this for Felicia. Nick asks Eric if Felicia knows that he's engaged to his mother. She doesn't, Eric replies, and she's not going to. Nick says that Felicia is a big girl and should be told; Eric says that he and Stephanie are trying to make this special for Felicia, and he wants Nick to understand that. What he understands, Nick says, is that he won't let his mother marry a man whose commitments are made of cardboard. Eric says that he likes and respects Nick, but he's not marrying him. He's marrying Jackie, who has accepted this, along with all the circumstances that go with it. Eric suggests that maybe Nick will be able to understand when his daughter is born and leaves the room, leaving Nick standing there.

Nick offers Felicia his support.
Soon after, Nick arrives at the guest house. He opens the door and calls out to Felicia, but she doesn't answer, so he goes in and looks around. When he looks in the bedroom and finds Felicia collapsed on the floor, he rushes to her side and helps her up. She tries to laugh that they warned her not to slip in the shower, but no one warned her about after. She asks Nick to hand her a garment bag and asks how her hair looks; she hopes the fall didn't wreck it after Kristen worked so hard on it. Nick says it's a bit cockeyed. Starting to cry, she asks why she cares. Nick holds her as she laments that she wanted everything to be perfect, including her for the first time in her life. Here she is doing this nice thing, to pull everyone together and force them to see that love can protect you from death. She frets that everyone is going to see this wedding as a joke, with her stumbling in like some lush who's not invited. Nick tells her to stop, because he's here for her. She asks him to help her put on the dress her dad picked out for her from Forrester. Nick isn't sure, so she reminds him that he's seen "the goods" before. Besides, she kicked her mom out. Nick reluctantly agrees to help with the dress so she can try and fix her hair. She asks him not to tell anyone that she cried. She's got a lot to think about, he admits. Felicia asks what brought him by; he pauses and then says that he wanted to see her. He goes over to the hospital equipment and unfolds the walker, but she says that she refuses to use that. She won't walk into her parents' wedding like an invalid, she insists.

Ridge, Thorne and Darla greet the judge.
At the main house, Darla, Thorne, Eric, Kristen and Ridge welcome Judge Bolan, who says that he was sorry to hear about Felicia's illness and asks if she'll be here. She better be, Ridge replies. Stephanie comes down in a white pant suit that Eric recognizes as one of his designs. Stephanie says that she asked Thorne to update it; Eric compliments Thorne on a good job. They then wonder where Felicia is. Kristen offers to go get her. Stephanie suggests that Ridge or Thorne go in case Felicia needs help, but before they can go, Felicia shows up at the door on Nick's arm. She greets the judge and thanks him for presiding tonight. She then says that she knows that they say that "seeing is believing," but looking at them all here, so beautiful and unscathed, she thinks the opposite is true. She feels like nothing can hurt them, and like everything is as it should be. Nick kisses her on the forehead and tells her to enjoy her evening. As Thorne leads Felicia in, Nick turns to leave, but Eric comes over to him. Offering his hand, he thanks Nick for letting Felicia have this evening. Nick accepts the handshake and smiles before leaving. Eric then looks at Felicia, who sees him and smiles, so he smiles back at her.
