Darla is happy to see Sally accept Thorne's offer.
At Forrester, Sally tells Thorne that she won't accept charity, so she can't take his job offer. Thorne tells her to think of it as a favor for him, because he'll never find someone with her experience in design school. Darla adds that Sally would be at Spectra right now had it not been for her accident. So they're feeling sorry for the old gal in the wheelchair, Sally quips. What she calls old, Thorne calls experience, which he can use on his team. That's why he wants Sally to help him. Sally asks if his family would be OK with her working here. She IS part of his family, he reminds her. Darla is sure Stephanie would agree. Sally has to laugh at the thought of her working side by side with her "royal toughness," Queen Stephanie, but she also wants to remind Thorne that it will be a while before she's at the top of her game again. Thorne tells her that she still has what it takes: she's the best manager in this business, able to solve problems and motivate people. Those are skills that he needs. Sally has to admit that she has a way with people. Then take the job, Thorne and Darla urge her. Sally tells them that she'll need a company car with a handsome driver with biceps. Whatever she wants, Thorne laughs. Sally thanks him and accepts the offer as Darla gives her a hug.

Thorne admits his plan to Darla.
Once Sally is gone, Darla asks Thorne if these interviews were all a setup. The interviews were real, Thorne says, but he forgot to call in the best candidates. That was sneaky, Darla says. It was selfish, Thorne says, since he thinks Sally is just what he needs to keep Brooke, Ridge or Eric in line when they disrespect him. Darla thinks it will be good to have someone else on his side, and it will be good for Sally, too. She points out how happy Sally looked. Thorne says that's how he likes all his employees. Not only is he the smartest president that Forrester's ever had, Darla says, but he's also the sweetest. She moves close to him and kisses him.

Brooke answers Nick's question about a future for her with Ridge.
At Marone, Nick asks Brooke if she wants a future with Ridge. Ridge is married, she reminds him. That might not be the case if she tells Ridge about his wife kissing another man, Nick points out. Brooke tells him that Taylor plans to tell Ridge herself. Let her, Nick suggests. Brooke frets that Taylor usually comes out of these things unscathed. Nick asks if she'd like things to be different this time. Brooke admits that it would be nice to see Stephanie go after someone else. Forget about Stephanie, Nick says: he wants to know if she'd reunite with Ridge if Ridge and Taylor split up. Brooke tells him that she doesn't want a future with Ridge. She reminds Nick that he's the only man she can think of. Her heart belongs to him, and maybe a part of it always will. Nick tells her not to say anymore, but she reminds him that he asked. She tells him that he touched her like no man ever has, and she even believed for one perfect moment that they could have a future as a family, with Hope and RJ. But now his future is with Bridget, and that's where his focus needs to be, while she focuses on her family. And Ridge, she points out, will always be part of RJ's life as his father. What about her life? Nick asks. She says that Hope and RJ need the stability they had when she was married to Ridge, and she has to wonder if she needs that, too.

Nick asks Brooke if that's what she wants. She says she wants her kids to be safe. And that's how she'd be with Ridge? Nick asks. She thinks she'd feel more secure than Taylor would right now. He asks how she knows Taylor is really going to tell Ridge. Even if she does, Bridget laments, Taylor's halo is Teflon coated. She thinks that if she told Ridge and Taylor didn't, it would be her word against Taylor's, and she bets Stephanie would always be willing to call her a liar if she told. Even Stephanie can't defend Taylor this time, Nick says. Brooke isn't so sure, since she thinks Stephanie would do anything to keep her from Ridge. Even if Taylor's cheating on Ridge? Nick asks. Even if Ridge and Taylor don't want to be together, Brooke says - which it doesn't look like they do given what happened on New Year's. Nick suggests that it would still do some good to get things in the open. But is it the right thing to do? Brooke asks. She needs Nick's advice about that, since she fears she's just doing this to get even with Stephanie and Taylor, and she doesn't want to stooping to their level. Nick says that Stephanie already stoops low after faking a heart attack. Brooke says she just wants the truth. So maybe she should tell, Nick says, pledging his support whatever she does. Brooke thanks him for that; she thinks that's why she came, to confirm that she's not alone. She'll never be alone as long as he's around, Nick says. Brooke makes up her mind: if Taylor won't tell Ridge, then she will.

Taylor recalls sleeping with James.
At the Bel Air mansion, Taylor asks Stephanie how she knows about James. Stephanie says she read the letter, but that's not important. What's important is that Ridge doesn't find out. Taylor says she should have told Ridge sooner, since their marriage won't survive without honesty. But does she want to destroy her marriage over a mistake, Stephanie asks, since that's what will happen if she tells Ridge about this. Taylor says that she's kept this from her husband since it happened, so it's time Ridge learned the truth. She thinks he will understand once she explains. Stephanie disagrees. Taylor recalls the incident: she and James were colleagues, not lovers, and they were trapped at the Big Bear cabin after an earthquake. They thought they were going to die. James told her how he'd dreamt of being with her, touching her, and she just gave in, even though she knew it was wrong. She doesn't know what made her think about it, but she has to face up to it. Stephanie thinks the situation with Hector brought up a lot of emotions for Taylor, including guilt. Taylor says she's telling Ridge because it's right. Stephanie says she thought the same thing when she found the letter, but Taylor's dad Jack begged her not to mar his daughter's marriage. In retrospect, she knows Jack was right. Taylor thinks she's denied this long enough; it's time for her to deal with it.

Stephanie warns Taylor.
If she has to admit to anything, Stephanie tells Taylor, face what happened with Hector, but don't tell Ridge about James. The issue, she says, is Brooke seeing her kiss Hector. Taylor says she plans to tell Ridge about that; she asked Ridge to be totally honest about Brooke in their counseling sessions, and that has to go both ways if their marriage is going to work. And it will work, Stephanie assures her, as long as she doesn't tell Ridge about James. Just then, the phone rings: it's Ridge! He tells Taylor that he's at LAX after his flight came in, waiting for the driver to put his bags in the car. Once that happens, he can't wait to rush home to his wife! Taylor says she can't wait. She then tells Stephanie that Ridge is on his way. Stephanie again tells Taylor not to say anything about James. Taylor asks Stephanie if she has that little faith in her marriage. Stephanie says she has complete faith in that marriage, which is why she's fought so hard for it. That's how things used to be, Taylor says, but things have changed for her and Ridge. She thinks she and Ridge need absolute trust for their marriage to thrive. What about Brooke? Stephanie asks. Taylor doesn't think Brooke is the problem in this marriage, but Stephanie disagrees. She thinks Brooke will smell blood after seeing Taylor kiss Hector, so she wants Taylor to be wary of Brooke.

Ridge wants to get caught up with his wife.
Taylor asks Stephanie about her scare tactics. Stephanie says that Taylor should be scared for her marriage, which could end over this. Or it could become stronger, Taylor says. Stephanie tells her to put herself in Ridge's shoes. Taylor points out that Ridge has made mistakes, too, and she has forgiven her, so he will forgive her, too. And if she's wrong? Stephanie asks. Taylor says that she is confident that Ridge loves her, so she thinks they can find the passion in their marriage again. Then get away for a while, Stephanie says - and most important, don't tell Ridge about James. Just then, Ridge arrives, pleased to see his wife again. Greeting his mom and wife, he tells them that he's staying here, now, where he belongs. He then gets a call and steps away to take it. While he's taking the call, Stephanie again tells Taylor not to say anything to Ridge about James, since even she can't repair that damage, and neither can Taylor. Ridge then returns, so Stephanie leaves. Alone with his wife, Ridge promises to never ever leave her again and asks her what's been happening in his absence. He wants to know everything, he says.
