Felicia says she's OK with Bridget taking Dominick home.
In the Forrester study, Nick tells Bridget that he has something to tell her. She asks if they can talk about this at home. She just needs to discuss some things with Felicia first - that is, if Felicia is still OK with her taking Dominick home tonight. Stephanie asks Bridget if she'd prefer some time alone with Nick, but Bridget thinks it's comforting to have Dominick nearby, so as long as Felicia doesn't mind... Felicia says that she doesn't mind. Nick tries to say something to Felicia, but she assures him that it's OK. Bridget thanks Felicia and tells Nick that it's just for tonight, so he relents. Bridget tells him to go ahead home, and she'll meet him after she talks with Felicia. He tells her not to be long and gives her a quick kiss before he leaves. Stephanie stops him at the door and whispers that he has to tell Bridget that Dante is the father tonight. They both leave the sisters alone with the baby.

Stephanie asks Dante to think about what's best for Bridget and the baby.
Stephanie drops by the guest house and finds Dante leaving a note. She asks about his telling Nick about Dominick; he says that Nick needed to know who Dominick's father is. Stephanie frets that he might have told Bridget, but he promises to leave that up to Nick, provided Nick does it soon. Stephanie says that there are so many issues here, so while she's not denying him a place in the child's life, she's urging him to stay out of this for now, for Bridget's sake. In fact, she wants him to know that she's making Bridget her top priority. She thinks things are moving so fast, and he's so confused by the idea of being a father, that he isn't really thinking of what's best for Bridget. Dante says he isn't confused; in fact, for the first time, when he spent time with Bridget and Dominick earlier, everything made sense. The three of them being together felt right. He suggests that things sometimes happen for a reason, like Felicia asking Bridget for help; Bridget agreeing to raise this child; or his finding out he's a father. Stephanie asks if he thinks this means he and Bridget will end up together. He says that he's not using his son to bring them together. It's happening on its own. He feels that Bridget and Nick have been through so many crises, all because Nick is still in love with Brooke. He wants to spare Bridget the pain and humiliation of being married to a man who, whether Nick likes it or not, loves her mother.

Dante asks for Stephanie's support.
Dante reminds Stephanie how she wanted Bridget to divorce Nick, because she knew Nick still loves Brooke. Stephanie admits that she did, but she thinks things have changed, and Nick and Bridget have become close. That only happened because of Nick's obligation to the baby, Dante says. He recalls how Nick ran straight to Brooke after Bridget lied about having an abortion, and he then asks Stephanie why Brooke isn't with Ridge right now. Because Brooke loves Nick, Stephanie replies. Exactly, Dante says, and he thinks it's only a matter of time before Nick and Brooke are together again. He wants to spare Bridget that pain and make her happy. Stephanie says that she wants Bridget to be happy, too. Dante says he knows that, which is why he needs her help. Stephanie isn't sure; she thinks Bridget needs Nick more than ever, having lost their daughter. And now they're about to lose a son. But Bridget doesn't have to lose a son, Dante says: she can have that son AND a husband who loves her and respects her like she deserves, if only someone will show her the way. He thinks Stephanie, with her influence and Bridget's life, can be the one to guide Bridget, so he asks her to think this through. He can take care of Bridget and his son. Felicia can be at ease knowing her son is being raised by two loving parents. And Stephanie will have peace in her family, a family he'd be proud to be part of. All Stephanie has to do to make it happen is support him. He promises not to let her down if she does. Stephanie considers his plea.

Bridget promises Felicia that she'll love Dominick like her own son,
Back in the study, Bridget thanks Felicia. She knows Felicia has little time with her son, but having him close means everything to Bridget right now. Felicia says she couldn't say no after everything Bridget's done for her. She feels lucky to have Bridget in her life. Bridget thinks she's the lucky one. Felicia thinks that they, of everyone in the family, have the least in common: she's the black sheep, while Bridget is the star. Bridget doesn't think she's a star, since Felicia is handling things so calmly, while she's just been angry. A little anger keeps them sane, Felicia replies. Bridget admires how strong and accepting Felicia is, but Felicia tells her not to let the facade fool her; she admits she's had her share of strong words for the man upstairs. But she thinks Bridget is an exceptional person for meeting life's challenges head on and coming out stronger. She thinks her little twerp of a half sister turned out pretty amazing. She knows it won't be easy, but she needs Bridget to stay strong for Dominick. Bridget says she'll try, but Felicia needs her to promise, since knowing Bridget will love her son is the only thing that gives her peace of mind. Without that, she doesn't know if she can say goodbye when her time comes. She needs to know that Bridget's bond with Dominick will override anything life throws at her. Bridget says that it will: she promises to love Dominick as her son, because that's how she sees him. She sees that boy as a reflection of Nick and her, and she promises that nothing will ever come between her and that little boy.

Brooke is stunned by Nick's news.
Nick arrives at the beach house and finds Brooke there. She tells him that she brought the gifts from the memorial over. Nick thanks her. She turns to leave, but Nick stops her. He gazes intently at her and then heads across the room. Brooke senses something wrong and asks what it is. Nick is silent, so she reminds him that he can always talk to her. It's about the baby, he explains. Brooke worries that Dominick is sick, but Nick says that's not it. Then what is it? Brooke asks, frightened by his mood. Nick's voice breaks as he tells her that Dominick is not his son. Shocked, Brooke asks how that can be. Nick explains that Felicia was with another man in France. Then why would Felicia say the child is his? Brooke asks. Felicia honestly thought he was the father, Nick replies, until the father asked her for a paternity test. Brooke reminds him that those tests can be wrong, but Nick is sure that this one isn't. The tests prove that Dante is the father. Dante? Brooke asks. Nick tells her how Felicia and Dante met and spent one night together. Brooke tells him that she's so sorry. Nick again wonders why every time he gets close to a child, they're taken from him. He even wonders if he's meant to be a father. Brooke assures him that he is, since he's wonderful with her kids. Then why can't any of them be his?! he shouts. He thinks it was a mistake to ever stay here in L.A. Brooke disagrees; she's sure Dominick will be part of his life, since that's what Felicia wants. But what Felicia wants doesn't matter, Nick says. Only what the father wants does, and he can deal with that from experience. But how will Bridget react, he wonders, especially after the loss she's endured?

Nick prepares to tell Bridget the truth.
As Nick comments on how close Bridget and Dominick have become, Bridget arrives with the baby. She thinks the boy needs a nap, so she goes to put him down. As Bridget walks to the bedroom, Brooke softly tells Nick that he can't put off telling Bridget any longer. After Brooke leaves, Nick picks up the baby blanket and takes a deep breath. Bridget comes back, raving about the wonderful life their little angel will have. She notices that her mom is gone. She just brought the gifts from the memorial, Nick says. Bridget asks if he's OK. He says he is and asks how she is. She says she's fine. She thought it would seem weird having a memorial for Nicole, but it felt good to have their families there, especially Dominick. She never thought she would need anyone like she needs that boy. Still, she thinks about all the moments she dreamed of for her, Nick, Dominick and Nicole as a family, moments that will never happen. Nick points out that they can have other children, so they can still have that family. They already have it, Bridget says. It may sound weird, but she just wants to be together with him and Dominick, their son. The two of them mean more to her that he will ever know. Nick grabs her, hugs her and tells her that he loves her. She tells him that she loves him too. She then asks about the thing he said he wanted to talk about at her dad's house. Nick is silent. Bridget asks what's wrong. He pauses and then tells her that it's about Dominick. She hopes he's OK with her bringing him home tonight. It's just that she felt so close to him, and Felicia says it was OK. Nick says that's fine. He just has to tell her that there's been a big mistake.

She asks what he means, demanding to know what's wrong with Dominick. Dominick is fine, he says. Then what is it? she demands to know. She tells him that she needs to know what it is, and she wants him to tell her now!
