Taylor wonders if Nick knows who Dominick's father is.
In Stephanie's living room, Taylor tells Stephanie what a wonderful service they had for Nicole. Stephanie thinks it's exactly what they needed to start bringing closure to this whole situation. Taylor asks how Stephanie is. Stephanie replies that everything is happening so fast, with Ridge and Taylor's marriage, and with Felicia. She worries about how Felicia will be affected knowing that Dante, and not Nick, is her son's father. Taylor is sure that Felicia knows that the baby will be loved, whatever happens. She also thinks Bridget is strong enough to survive this. Stephanie isn't so sure. She asks Taylor if she noticed how distant Nick was to the baby, like he knew Dante was the father. Dante promised not to say anything yet, Taylor says. Still, Stephanie wants to be sure; that's why she wants to talk to Felicia, to make sure Felicia is the one to tell Nick and Bridget.

Ridge thanks Taylor for being there to support Bridget and Felicia
Taylor goes out by the pool to think. Ridge comes down and asks if she's OK. She says that it's heartbreaking. At least Nick and Bridget have baby Dominick, he responds. Even so, Taylor says, that can't make up for the loss of a child. Ridge agrees; he thinks the two of them are lucky to have three kids who've grown up and are doing well. Under the circumstances, Taylor adds. He asks how she is. She's doing fine, she says, considering she's alone. Ridge tells Taylor that he doesn't really expect her to forgive him, but he's a man with two families. Taylor says she knows that story. She assures him that she's OK, probably better than he is from having to jump through hoops for Brooke. He says that he probably deserves that. He thanks Taylor for being here to support Bridget and Felicia. Even though she's not his wife, she says, she'll always love his family. This family meant everything to her, she explains, even when she was gone. It's just that she's felt so lost since she's been back, like she has no purpose. Ridge thinks he hasn't helped, but Taylor thinks they both tried as best as they could. He says that she deserves better. She agrees, suggesting that she's finally getting in touch with who she really is. The amazing person she really is, Ridge qualifies. She doesn't have the confidence she once had, she says, and it hasn't been easy or fun. But she's living her life again, and even if Ridge doesn't need her, there are others who do. She always gave more than she got, he says. She admits that she knows how fortunate she is. Still, she just can't help but think about Bridget and wonders if Bridget can handle everything.

Bridget doesn't understand what Dante is trying to say.
In the guest house, Bridget tells Dante that he's obviously trying to tell her something, so why doesn't he just come out and say it. Dante says that he's sorry about the loss of Nicole. He can only imagine the pain she's going through. Still, he wants her to know that something significant has happened that will change her life. She may not understand it at first, but she'll see in time that it won't be all bad. Bridget still doesn't understand what he's trying to say. He says she'll understands soon enough. Bridget thanks Dante for all he did for her during her pregnancy. She wants him to know that she'll always love him for taking care of her then. And it might have worked out for them if they had more time, he suggests. It might have, she agrees, but she thinks he has to understand that Nick was the father of her child. He says that he understands, more than she knows. Bridget admits to Dante that they had good times together, but he's a consummate bachelor and should enjoy it. Dante says he wants something more. She asks if he really thinks she can give him more. He reminds her that he moved to LA to be with her. It may have been crazy for him to expect her to welcome him with open arms, but so much has changed. In his heart, he thinks he was meant to be here, with her. She worries that he's wasting his Italian passion on her. He assures her he isn't. She realizes that he was ready to be a father to her child. He was, he agrees, and he thinks she'll see that he'll be a good father. They hear the baby cry, so she goes to check on him.

Dante tells Bridget that he wants to help her keep her promise to Felicia.
Bridget brings the baby out. She tells Dante that Felicia wanted her to take the baby home tonight. Maybe after today, Dante says, she should. She agrees, since she thinks she needs Dominick. He'll need her, too, Dante says. She thinks about how sad today was. He promises that she'll be happy again, because she'll find everything she needs in being a parent to this little boy. She smiles and thanks him. He tells her that she means so much to her, and he never meant to hurt her. If he ever does, he says, it wasn't his intention. He knows that she made a promise to Felicia to care for her son, and he wants to help her keep that promise.

Nick scolds Felicia over what Dante being Dominick's father will do to Bridget.
Nick asks Felicia if she has any idea what the news that Dante is Dominick's father will do to Bridget. Felicia starts to cry. Nick thinks about all the times he held his son. Felicia assures him that she really believed that Dominick was his. But he's not, Nick says, noting how he's batting 1000 when it comes to kids. Felicia says that they can work out something with Dante, so that he [Nick] can still be a part of the boy's life. Nick doesn't think that's possible, since this is Dante's child. The boy isn't his or Bridget's. Felicia tells him not to say that. But it's the truth! he shouts. He thinks about how close Bridget is becoming to Dominick and wonders how he can tell her that Dante is the baby's father. Felicia thinks that the best thing for her son is for him to have a mother, and she wants that mother to be Bridget. Nick asks if she knows what she's asking Bridget to do, especially after everything Bridget has been through. He thinks about how Bridget opened her heart to Felicia and the baby, putting aside her own pain so that she can be a mother to Dominick, and now he has to tell his wife that the baby isn't even his son. He asks Felicia how she feels about this. She's nearly in tears. Stephanie walks in and tells Nick to stop berating her daughter, who didn't set out to hurt Nick. Nick tells Stephanie to go ahead and comfort her daughter. He wants her to remember that because of Felicia, Bridget's life will never be the same.

Stephanie stands by her daughter.
Nick asks Felicia and Stephanie who else knows about the baby's paternity. Taylor, Stephanie replies. Nick tells them not to forget the boy's father. So Dante told him? Stephanie asks. She hopes Nick realizes that this was a shock to all of them, especially Felicia. She's sorry Nick was hurt, and so is Felicia. This wasn't supposed to happen, Felicia agrees. That won't help him tell Bridget, Nick says. Stephanie reminds him that the baby is a Forrester, so they will take care of it. Nick reminds her that he's a Marone. Stephanie thinks they can work things out with Dante. Felicia says she just wants her baby raised with two loving parents. But how can those parents be him and Bridget if Dante is the father? Nick asks. Bridget will be the baby's mother, Felicia promises. Nick asks if she's saying that Bridget will be with Dante. He supposes Stephanie doesn't think that's a bad option, because she's never really approved of him and Bridget. Stephanie says she just wants what's best... And now Dante is part of the mix, Nick argues, wondering if Dante set this whole thing up. In fact, he wonders how they know Dante is really the father. Felicia says she was there. And so was Taylor, Stephanie reminds him. She tells Nick to accept that Dante is the father. Nick fears this will be too much for Bridget to handle.

Felicia tells Nick to stay strong. Nick doesn't see an easy answer. He and Bridget lost their daughter, but Bridget promised to be a father to his son. He just wonders if that a promise that she can keep, or even should keep. He doesn't want to be cruel to Felicia, but he has to focus on his wife. Bridget walks in carrying the baby and asks if she's interrupting. She isn't, Stephanie says. Bridget looks at Nick and Felicia and asks if they're OK. Nick approaches Bridget, who hands him the baby, so Dominick can be with daddy. Reluctantly, Nick takes the baby and tells Bridget that there's something he needs to tell her.
