Bridget confides in Taylor.
Taylor stops by the beach house to see Bridget. She tells Bridget that she's sorry to hear about the baby, but at least Bridget still has Nick. Bridget says that she was sorry to hear about Taylor and Ridge's marriage. Taylor doesn't know what to say, since Ridge is in love with Bridget's mother. Bridget thinks that Ridge still loves Taylor, but she was gone so long. Taylor doesn't know if there are words to make you feel better after losing loved one. Taylor then fetches a tray, since she thinks Bridget needs to keep up her strength, and offers Bridget a glass of wine from the tray. Bridget isn't sure wine is right for her right now; Taylor thinks it's OK as long as she doesn't overdo it, so Bridget takes the glass, but doesn't drink the wine. Taylor, however, takes a drink from hers and says she feels better already. Bridget worries about everything Taylor's been through. Taylor says that, too, will pass. Besides, she doesn't want to talk about her problems with Ridge; she thinks she and Bridget should focus on what they still have. As she takes another sip of wine, she says that she has her kids while Bridget still has Nick. Bridget says that she certainly hopes so.

Taylor tries to reassure Bridget.
Taylor pours herself another glass of wine. She asks Bridget if she has reason to think she doesn't have Nick. Bridget says that she still sometimes wonders if Nick was only with her because of the baby. Taylor says that Nick loves Bridget, who tells Taylor that she offered Nick his freedom so he could be with her mother. Taylor asks what Nick said. He said that she was wrong, Bridget replies, and that he wanted to be with her. Taylor knows it's hard to have faith, but she reminds Bridget that Nick is her husband, and the two of them will soon be parents to his son Dominick. Bridget is silent, so Taylor asks if Bridget is OK with raising Dominick. Bridget isn't sure; as much as she wants to love that baby boy, she isn't sure that she won't be reminded of losing Nicole every time she holds him. She just wanted her little girl to live, she sobs. Taylor comforts her with a hug and asks if it's too soon for her to take care of Dominick. Bridget worries that Nick is suffering, too. She knows what a comfort Dominick is to Nick, but she fears that her holding Dominick will make her want HER baby. She cries that she wants her baby, and she doesn't know if she can handle this. Taylor tells Bridget to listen to her. She reminds Bridget how much she loves Nick and points out that Dominick is a reflection of Nick. She hugs Bridget and tells her that in time, as difficult as things are, that little boy will pull her through. OK, Bridget says over Taylor's shoulder.

Nick tells Brooke about his fears for Bridget.
Brooke arrives at the Shady Marlin, having been asked there by Nick. Seeing him holding a pink teddy bear, she asks how Bridget is. Heartbroken, he replies. He tells her that he is going to pick up Dominick soon and take him to the beach house. Brooke hopes the baby boy can cheer Bridget up. Nick hopes so, since Bridget's suffered a lot of damage. Brooke tells him that she's glad he's there for Bridget. Nick tells her that he's worried that Bridget's old insecurities are still there. Stunned, Brooke asks if Bridget said anything, so he tells her how Bridget felt he was only with her because of the baby, so she offered him his freedom to be with Brooke. As much as he assured her, he thinks Bridget still has those fears about his feelings for her mother. He assured her that he still loves her, even after losing Nicole, and he pointed out that they could still have other children and build a family. Brooke thanks him for saying that, since she thinks that reassurance is just what Bridget needs right now. She knows it must have been hard, since he's hurting, too, but he also has Dominick to think about. Nick says that he wants to be there for Bridget, but he fears that she's having trouble accepting Dominick, because it's too soon. Nicole will always be in their hearts, Brooke says, even though they were never able to hold her. But even though he and Bridget never knew that joy with Nicole, Brooke thinks that they can experience it with Dominick. "My son," Nick says. That's right, Brooke says, and he wants to protect his son, just like Ridge wants to protect RJ. Nick asks if that means she's going to let Ridge be there for RJ. She says that she's spent most of her life focusing on her needs, but she can't live that way anymore. Nearly in tears, she says that RJ has to come first, and Bridget, too. She turns Nick to face her and caresses his face lightly before turning away and leaving.

Felicia wonders why Dante is concerned about her son.
At the Forrester mansion, Felicia wants to know why Dante is so concerned about Dominick. He suggests that Dominick might have other options besides a future with Nick and Bridget. Felicia asks what he means; she knows he cares for Bridget, so is he afraid that she's asking too much of Bridget, too soon? Nick is the issue, he says, not Bridget. Felicia is confused. He explains that it goes back to the night they met, in Nice. He was in that bar with some buddies and she was dancing on the table. Felicia admits that she shouldn't have been drinking, but she didn't know she was pregnant, and she wanted to drown her sorrows over her break-up with Nick. Dante reminds her that he took her home and asks if she remembers what happened next. She recalls that he got her home and stayed. And they made love, Dante says. Yes, Felicia recalls, and that makes him the last man she ever was with. And while she's glad he's being kind and calling it "making love," she doesn't want him to get the wrong idea, since what they shared was just sex. After all, she was still in love with Nick then, and even though she didn't know it, she was pregnant with Nick's child. Is she sure? Dante asks. She says she is, but Dante isn't as sure. Felicia asks why not; even drunk, she is always responsible about sex, so she remembers that she gave him a condom. Didn't he use it? She's relieved when Dante says that he did, but that relief fades when he adds, "the first time."

Felicia asks what Dante means. He tells her that they made love for hours. But they used protection, she protests, so if he's saying that Dominick could be his son, he should forget it! He asks how she can be so sure. Did the doctors say anything about the baby being premature? he asks. She says that there were no doctors, only a midwife. Besides, she thinks it's pointless to speculate, because she knows that Nick is Dominick's father, and after she's gone, Nick is going to raise that baby boy with Bridget. Dante says that Dominick deserves to know who his father is. He already knows, Felicia says, and it's not some guy she met on some drunken night in France. Dante says that he doesn't want to cause any problems. Then don't! Felicia says, asking him to take his accusations and leave. Dante says that he's a single guy, so he doesn't want a child. Still, if this could be his son, he thinks they should know for sure. Dominick wakes and starts fussing, so Felicia picks him up and insists that this IS Nick's son. She doesn't want to discuss this further, but Dante insists on a paternity test. Just then, Nick arrives; he knows he's early, but he wanted to spend some extra time with Dominick. Dante tells Nick he's sorry about Nick's loss. Nick thanks him as Felicia gets the baby and asks how Bridget is. It's hard, Nick admits. That's why he came over early to get Dominick. He takes the baby and tells him that they lost his baby sister, but they're not going to lose him. He then tells the baby that he and "Mommy Bridget" love him and need him so much.

Dante has something to say to Nick.
Felicia thinks Nick should be going, so she sends her love to Bridget, bids her son goodbye and ushers Nick and the baby toward the door. Dante tries to stop Nick and tells him, "Before you go.." Felicia says that she and Dante were just talking, but it wasn't important. She again tries to show Nick out, but Dante says they need to be responsible and realize that Nick shouldn't be taking the baby to Bridget. Nick looks confused as Felicia tries to hush Dante and tells Nick that there's nothing to worry about. Nick opens the door to leave, but Dante tells him to wait a second, as there's something Nick needs to know. Nick closes the door and walks back in. "If you got something to say," he tells Dante, "then say it." Dante and Felicia look at each other, then at Nick.
