Eric talks with Dante about Bridget and Felicia.
|
Up at the main house, Dante waits while Eric talks with an electrician. Having fixed a dimmer switch, the electrician goes to check a security camera by the side gate that hasn't been working. Eric then turns his attention to Dante and thanks him for waiting. Eric admits that Bridget told him that things are over between her and Dante, and he has to admit that he's relieved. He always feared that Bridget turned to Dante too soon after her marriage to Nick ended. Dante still thinks Bridget is an amazing woman. Eric admits Bridget had a tough year, especially after finding out that Dante fathered Felicia's son. It's been hard for all of them, Dante says. Including Felicia, Eric notes. Dante agrees; in fact, that's why he's here.

Dante tells Eric he wants a second chance with Felicia.
|
Eric and Dante are interrupted by a delivery man dropping off a package for Eric. As Eric signs for the package, the delivery man looks around the fancy living room and bets it takes a king's ransom for a place like this. Not quite, Eric replies as he tips the man. Looking at his tip, the delivery man says it must be good to be the kind and leaves. Eric then returns to Dante, who recalls how he came to L.A. because he had fallen for Bridget. But then he crossed paths with Felicia again; he really got to know Felicia, and he found out that he was her son's father. Being a father has been amazing, he explains, and loving his son has allowed him to see how much he loves Felicia. And it's not just that they share a son; he sees now that he's IN love with Felicia, which is why he's hoping Eric will give him a second chance to make Felicia happy. Eric appreciates that, but he thinks Felicia is the one who needs convincing. He tells Dante that she's out in the guest house. Dante thanks Eric, who extends his hand and tells Dante to go on.

Felicia chats with Dante.
|
Dante finds Felicia outside the guest house by the fountain. She tells him that Dino likes the sound of the water, so she lets him sleep out here. Dante agrees that it's nice to sleep outside. Felicia sees where their son gets it from. She doesn't want to wake Dino, so she leaves the stroller and invites Dante in. Just as they go inside, a man's hands reach into the stroller and take Dino. Inside the guest house, Dante keeps looking at Felicia, who asks why he's doing that. Because she's pretty, he replies. She asks if he's been dipping into the Chianti. He says no, so Felicia asks what it is, then. Dante says that he hasn't seen her in a while. That's because she's been busy working at Forrester, she explains. "Cracking the whip?" he asks. She offers to let him try and he says he will. Felicia laughs at the way he's flirting and asks if he forgot what a handful she was when they were engaged. Dante says he was wrong about a lot of things. He thinks Felicia is like Van Gogh, who everyone thought was crazy just for acting different. He was just unique, just like her. Felicia likes where this is going, but she thinks they should put Dominick down. She goes outside and cries out in horror that Dominick is gone! She and Dante rush over to the pool, in case Dino crawled out of his stroller. They don't find anything by the pool, so they frantically keep looking, not seeing a piece of paper on the ground. Meanwhile, we see the hands that took Dino from the stroller driving a car, with Dino in a car seat.

Phoebe has trouble opening up to Thorne.
|
Thorne is over visiting Darla's grave. He flashes back to happy times with his wife as he expresses how much he and Alexandria both miss Darla. How could this happen? he asks before "telling" his late wife, "I love you." He goes to sit on a nearby bench and spots Phoebe approach the grave site. Kneeling before the grave, Phoebe recalls how Darla came to help her. She says that she can't get it out of her head, and her mother... She sobs that Alexandria lost her mother, and she doesn't want to lose hers, too. Having overheard, Thorne comes over and asks Phoebe what she meant. He bets she's remembering how she felt when they thought Taylor was dead, and she felt the same pain Alexandria is feeling now. Phoebe says that her mom came back, but Alexandria's won't. Thorne tells her to keep an eye on her mom; he knows it's been hard since the divorce. Phoebe agrees that it's been hard on her mom. Thorne is sorry about that, but at least Taylor as a good friend in Hector. When Phoebe suddenly goes silent at the mention of Hector's name, Thorne asks if there's anything going on. Phoebe says she can't talk about it. Thinking he's figured it out, Thorne tells Phoebe to stay here for a while while he takes care of something.

Hector tries to get through to Taylor.
|
Hector takes Taylor to his house. Taylor however wants to leave. Hector tells her that he couldn't let her confess to Thorne, but Taylor points out that Thorne wants answers about Darla's death - answers that she can provide! Hector concedes that Thorne is hurting, but he knows that Taylor confessing will not bring Darla back, and it will only make things worse. Taylor doesn't see who it could get worse. Hector presents Taylor with plane tickets to Mexico; he wants to take her and Phoebe out of town before keeping this secret eats away at Taylor. Taylor tells him that a vacation won't help, since sunshine and margaritas won't change what happened. She asks Hector to imagine how painful the guilt over her actions is, because she's a liar and a murderer. Hector tells her that she is not a murderer. He reminds her that it was dark and foggy that night, and Darla fell in font of her car. He urges her to accept that it was an accident. Taylor says she was drinking, and that changes everything.
Hector thinks of all the times he's risked his life to save others, never asking for a thing in return. Now, all that may be lost. Taylor tells him that she can't do this anymore. She can't eat, and every time she closes her eyes to sleep, she sees Darla. Then she thinks of Alexandria crying, holding one of her mother's dresses, wishing her mommy would come home. She thinks of Thorne, lying up at night thinking about revenge on the person who took his wife away. Hector tells Taylor to think of Phoebe, and he asks her if she expects to burn in hell, without a chance at forgiveness. Maybe she should, Taylor suggests. She thinks of all the people she has counseled to be honest, and she can't even take her own advice. She knows that keeping this secret is wrong, since Thorne will never be free until he knows the truth. Hector says that telling Thorne will destroy two families, but Taylor can't live with herself any longer. She's sorry she got Hector involved, and she promises to help him if she can. But she sees now that she should have stepped up right from the start and told the truth!

Thorne demands some answers.

Hector tells Taylor to stop talking that way, just as Thorne appears in the door and demands to know what's going on. Hector tells Thorne he's not welcome here. "The hell I'm not," Thorne responds, seeing Taylor trembling and asking her what's wrong.
