Nick has a tour guide in mind to show Harry around.
Nick takes Harry to Insomnia, where Harry is surprised at how expensive the coffee is. He's also surprised that a rich big shot like Nick could suggest instant coffee instead. Nick asks if he means the rich guy who gave Harry a place to stay. Harry suggests that he's doing Nick a favor looking after the Marlin. Nick suggests that Harry lose that attitude, or he'll forget the next favor he was about to do for Harry. He reminds Harry that he's a busy man with a company to run, so he can't play tour guide. That's why he's going to ask a cute girl he knows, Phoebe Forrester, to show Harry around. Harry asks if Phoebe Forrester is as hot as Brooke Forrester; on that note, Nick leaves.

Harry thinks Phoebe is a spoiled rich girl.
Phoebe stops in and stops by the counter; she chats with Kelly, a waitress, and orders some coffee. Harry comes over and orders a refill; when Kelly says that'll be four bucks, Harry is shocked, as he knew people in Sumatra who barely earn four dollars a year! When he thinks no one is looking, he reaches into the tip jar for a dollar to pay for the coffee, but Phoebe spots him with his hand in the jar and tells him to put that money back. Harry says he was just borrowing the money. Then put it back, Phoebe says, since the servers pay their bills with that tip money. Harry thinks that's funny, since Phoebe didn't put any money in the tip jar. She says she was going to; Harry bets that she's some spoiled rich girl anyway, so she doesn't even understand what it's like to earn money to pay the bills. He's been all over the world, and he's seen girls everywhere like her with that same look, like they're entitled to something. Phoebe disagrees, so Harry says she's entitled to her opinion. And doesn't he like women who have opinions? Phoebe asks. Harry says he didn't say that... Then he must think rich people can't be nice, Phoebe surmises.

Phoebe is intrigued by Nick's call.
So she is rich, Harry says. Just then, Phoebe gets a call on her cell phone; she answers and finds that it's Nick. He tells her that he has a friend in town who's a little older than her and is new to L.A., so he was hoping she could show this guy around town. Is he cute? Phoebe asks. "He's a sailor, and you know we're all ugly as wet dogs," Nick quips, saying he thinks Phoebe will have a good time if she accepts. Hoping Nick is kidding about the "wet dog" part, Phoebe accepts and hangs up. Harry asks if she has a hot date. Potentially, she replies, noting that it sounds a lot nicer than the guys she meets hanging around here.

Stephanie asks Thorne to let go.
Stephanie drops by Thorne's beach house, where she advises him to be patient with Alexandria. She then wonders if she should have left Phoebe at Insomnia. Thorne recalls that Bridget said Phoebe was fine, but he fears that Phoebe still blames herself for Darla's death. Stephanie tells him to let Taylor handle Phoebe, but Thorne feels like he needs to reach out to Taylor and Phoebe after what they did for him. Stephanie notes how attached Thorne seems to Taylor. Thorne replies that Taylor has been a good friend, which is why he's so angry that Lt. Baker accused Taylor of killing Darla. He can't believe the cop came to Phoebe's room tonight after he told Baker to to stay away. Stephanie remarks that she took care of Lt. Baker, but she needs Thorne to do something for her. As hard as it is, she needs him to drop the investigation into Darla's death. She knows he wants someone to pay for Darla's death, but she thinks the person responsible is already paying, and that person will likely suffer from guilt for the rest of his or her life. She doesn't think Alexandria needs to see her father obsessed with this need for answers, and she doesn't think Darla would want him to be angry, either. That's why she's urging Thorne to let the investigation go and focus on his daughter. She's sure it will work out in time, especially with Taylor's help. Thorne reminds his mom that Taylor has a life, but she thinks that Taylor can turn her life around by helping him and Alexandria. She knows he and Taylor have been through a lot, but she bets the two of them will someday be happy again.

Taylor comforts Hector after giving him a grim prognosis.
Taylor is stunned to see that Hector is blind. She tells him that she's so sorry and reaches out to him. He pulls away from her. She asks how this happened. Hector says that he deserves this, as punishment for putting her in harm's way and endangering her life. Taylor thinks it's time to move on and start healing. While she can't forgive Hector yet, she can understand why he panicked. Hector admits that he was frightened for Taylor, even though that doesn't excuse what he did. He thought that if he could just convince Taylor not to tell Thorne... Taylor comments that they almost died in the fire, but they got a second chance. So they can take their mistakes and make them into something good. Hector laments that he can't fight fires this way. Taylor again says that she's sorry. Hector tells her not to feel sorry for him; she says it's empathy, not sympathy. Hector doesn't think he deserves either, since he's lucky to even be alive. Taylor reminds him about the miracles doctors do today. Hector is afraid to hope for a miracle, so Taylor offers to talk to his doctors. She promises to be there for him. Taylor then goes to see Hector's doctor, Dr. Hubert, to get news on Hector's condition. She soon returns to Hector with bad news: the burns are the worst the doctor ever saw, with damage so extensive that Hubert doesn't think the damage could ever be reversed. Hector will never see again, she states, but he can help people. He can adapt. "I will," Hector says. "I'm disabled, I'm not useless." As he stands up to move, he trips and falls to the floor. Taylor goes to him and holds him, promising to help him through this.
