Felicia tries to reason with Bridget.
At the Forrester mansion, Felicia remains opposed to Bridget and Dante's plans to take her son to Italy. Bridget says she thought he was "our son." Felicia says that she can't bear to be away from Dominick, even for a short time. She offers to pay to bring Dante's family to L.A. They can take the baby to Italy when she's dead. But she's recovered, Bridget argues. She has a list of phone numbers and a copy of their itinerary for Felicia, and Dante will bring a web-cam along, so she's sure there's no need to worry. Just then, Stephanie comes in and asks what's going on. Bridget asks her why she didn't tell Felicia about the trip to Italy. Stephanie replies that she thought the trip was off. It isn't, Bridget says. Stephanie doesn't think the trip is a good idea. She thinks the baby should stay with his mother, where he belongs. Bridget reminds Stephanie that she and Felicia agreed to raise the boy together. Stephanie hates to hurt Bridget's feelings, but the reality is that Felicia is that boy's mother. Bridget says that Stephanie doesn't see the reality of the situation. Stephanie thinks she does; she thinks Bridget is in denial, and is refusing to see how things changed since Felicia is alive. Felicia promises that Bridget will not be cut out; she still wants Bridget to raise her son when she dies. Bridget laments how she bought into their need for "good old dependable Aunt Bridget," but she doesn't think that's good enough anymore. It will have to be, Stephanie says, since the baby is staying with Felicia until she's fully healed!

Stephanie takes Felicia's side.
As Felicia tries to apologize, Stephanie says that Dante should have his parents meet the baby in L.A. and not in Italy. Bridget notes how everything always has to be on Stephanie's terms. Felicia says it's just until she's stronger or dies. Bridget admits she thought she'd have trouble sharing the baby, but it's Felicia who has problems. Stephanie has an idea: if and when Felicia dies, she thinks she should raise the baby. Bridget is stunned that Stephanie would try to take Dino away from Dante, his father. Stephanie says she just wants to keep Bridget and Dante from being hurt. Bridget says she and Dante don't need Stephanie's permission; to prove it, she pulls up the agreement Felicia drew up naming her and Dante as the baby's legal guardians. Felicia recognizes the papers but asks Bridget to please not do this. Bridget says she's sorry, but she and Dante are doing this and will be by to pick up Dino tomorrow. After Bridget leaves, Felicia tells Stephanie to do something! Stephanie tells her not to worry; if Bridget and Dante try to take Dominick anywhere, she says, it will be the biggest mistake of their lives.

Bridget returns soon after when Felicia is alone. She finds Felicia playing with one of Dino's favorite toys. Bridget apologizes for the argument earlier; she just didn't realize how challenging this would be. Loving the baby is easy, Felicia says, but sharing him is hard. Bridget doesn't think Stephanie is making things easier. Felicia asks Bridget not to bring her mom into this. But before Stephanie got involved, Bridget points out, the two of them were on the same page. They were, Felicia says. Bridget says that they need to focus on Dino. She promises that she will never take Felicia's place as Dino's mother, but Felicia feels like that might happen if they take her son to Italy. Bridget says she came there to make up, and to tell Felicia how much she admired her. Felicia thinks she has a funny way of showing it. Bridget apologizes, complimenting Felicia on her courage and strength. She knows they have nothing resolved. No, they don't, Felicia agrees. The sisters share a hug, as Bridget notes how important it is that Felicia keeps getting stronger, so she'll be part of their lives for a long time. She just doesn't want Felicia to forget how much she loves her.

Jackie admonishes Massimo for using her to punish their son.
As Nick and Jackie prepare to leave the jail, Massimo arrives. He wants to say that he's proud of how Nick stuck up for his mother, but at the same time, he feels like Nick is still missing the big picture, the knowledge that family is everything. He thinks Nick will understand some day. Jackie remarks to her ex- about his using her to punish their son. She knows she's made mistakes, but she can never forgive Mass for this. Mass laughs that he doesn't need her forgiveness, as he's here to make things right not with her, but with Nick. But their son has chosen to have a life with Brooke, Jackie states. Mass asks Nick to respect that Brooke and Ridge share a child, but Nick cannot respect a man who treated Brooke like dirt for 20 years. Mass points out that Brooke always goes back to Ridge; he thinks she will again, and Nick will lose. The only loser is Forrester, Nick states, for chasing something he can't have. As Jackie looks on, Mass tells Nick that he [Nick] underestimates Ridge's powers of persuasion. Nick says this conversation is over, as he is on his way to Brooke's. Mass warns him to knock first so he isn't surprised like the last time. Nick takes his mother and leaves.

Ridge realizes that Brooke has been taking sedatives.
In Brooke's bedroom, Ridge tells his "beautiful Logan" that she "needed this". He doesn't want her to doubt his love for her again. He feels like everything is right when they are together like this. She stirs slightly, eyes still closed, and mumbles Ridge's name. She's rubbing her head, confused about what's going on. Ridge asks what's wrong. She looks at him in shock and asks what he's done. Ridge still wants to know what's wrong. "The pills," she says. Ridge suddenly sees the bottle of pills; looking at it, he asks Brooke how many she took. Too many, she responds, noting that she passed out. Listening to what Brooke is saying, Ridge asks, "What?" He then tells her that he didn't know and hopes that she knows that he'd never... Closing her eyes and holding up the sheet around her, Brooke tells him to just go! She starts to cry, and Ridge just looks at her, speechless.

Brooke keeps to herself as she asks Ridge to go.
Ridge paces as he gets dressed, telling Brooke that if he had any idea, he never would have come up here. He tells her that he'd cut out his heart before he took advantage of her. Sitting in a fetal position, Brooke mutters Nick's name. Ridge promises to somehow make this right, but Brooke just clutches her knees to herself and tells him again to go. He tells her again that he will make this right; he promises her that. He leaves as Brooke continues to cry. Soon after, Ridge arrives at the basement offices at Forrester. Making his way around the room, Ridge asks himself, "What have I done?" Walking around, he recalls Brooke's reaction as she asked, "What are you doing?" Ridge holds his head and says, "Oh, God" at the realization of what's happened.

Nick wonders what's bothering Brooke.
Brooke comes out of her bathroom, wearing a robe. She has just come out of the shower. Her hand is shaking as she picks up the bottle of pills. She is startled when her bedroom door opens and Nick comes in. He tells her that they were right about his father working with Megan to set his mother up. Brooke falls back on the bench at the foot of the bed, silently holding the bottle of pills. Nick asks if she's OK. He then sees the bottle of tranquilizers. She says she doesn't usually take those, but with her father... Nick takes her in his arms and holds her. He's worried about the way she's trembling and asks if her dad was there tonight. She shakes her head. Was it Ridge? Nick asks. Brooke remains silent. Nick takes her head in his hands and asks her to tell him what happened here tonight, but she is too shaken to answer.
