Bridget has a request for her dad.
Eric comes into his office and finds Bridget there. She's glad to see him, because she's been waiting to give him his invitation to her wedding, tonight. She knows it's short notice, but Nick has found a captain friend of his to marry them and has made all the arrangements, so she hopes her dad can be there. Eric is impressed to hear that Nick has played wedding planner; Bridget tells him that her fiance can do anything with the right motivation. And she sure has given Nick that, Eric states. Bridget agrees; in fact, she thinks about how she was so scared a month ago that she didn't even think she could have this wedding, let alone with her mom there. Eric is surprised that Brooke is going to be there. Well, Bridget says, they need witnesses - and she needs a dress, which is why she's here. She knows Eric designed her first wedding gown, but she wants this wedding to be a fresh start for Nick, so she hopes Eric can pull another dress together for her. Eric is sure he can find something. She asks if her mom is in her office, as she wants to pop in before the ceremony and ask Brooke to help Nick get ready. Eric offers to do that for her, but Bridget wants to do it herself; she explains that she and Brooke have reconnected recently, so she wants her mom to feel like she's a part of the wedding plans.

Dante gives Ridge some surprising news.
A while later, Ridge stops into Eric's office to drop something off. He finds the office empty, nut he spies one of Dante's designs on Eric's desk and takes a look. Dante comes in and asks what he thinks; Ridge says that Eric told him the news, so he's pleased to welcome Dante aboard their team. He's intrigued by the way Dante uses his favorite contemporary artists as inspirations for his work. Dante tells him that Eric agreed with that sentiment. And what about Brooke? Ridge asks. She was supportive, too, Dante says, but it was his ideas, and not the fact that he's dating Brooke, that earned him his job here. Did he just say he's dating Brooke? Ridge asks. Dante's not surprised that Ridge hasn't heard, since he only recently started dating Brooke.

Ridge is stunned by Dante's news.
Ridge says that he thought Dante had a thing with Bridget. But Bridget is getting married tonight, Dante tells him. Ridge is surprised that he didn't know about that, either. After all, he's still close to Brooke because of the kids, and she didn't tell him anything about a wedding. The wedding was a last minute thing, Dante says. As for he and Brooke, he thinks they're doing pretty well. Ridge reminds Dante that he and Brooke were married and share a child. Dante says that he knows and tells Ridge not to wonder if Brooke hasn't yet gotten over him; he's sure Ridge is the last thing on Brooke's mind. Oh, really? Ridge asks. Dante says that he didn't mean to sound insulting. He can see that Ridge isn't thrilled about him dating Brooke, but he can assure Ridge that he and Brooke both want Bridget to be happy. "And you think Nick can do that?" Ridge asks. Bridget thinks that Nick can, Dante replies. Ridge hopes Dante's right, since Nick and Bridget have done this before. He hopes they can make it stick this time.

Nick is still in Brooke's office, pleading with Brooke not to be at that wedding. She reminds him that Bridget wants her there, but he doesn't think he can go through with it if she's there. He has to go through with it, Brooke says, for Bridget. Nick doesn't think he can do that with Brooke standing there, so he asks Brooke again to help him by not being at the wedding. Brooke reminds him that they'll be family once he marries Bridget. Nick reminds her of the powerful feelings they have for each other, feelings that Bridget will sense if she's at the wedding. If he wants to do right by her daughter, she'll stay away. Brooke points out that she already told Bridget she'd be there. Nick again tells her not to come: if she's there, he fears there might not be a wedding. He then leaves.

Brooke tells Eric that she'll do anything to make their daughter happy.
Brooke wonders what she's going to do. Just then, Bridget comes in, singing, "Here comes the bride, all fat and wide." She tells Brooke she was joking about that last part, but she really feels like she's ready for this wedding. Brooke suggests that it might be better for her not to be there, to avoid any complications for Bridget and Nick. Bridget won't hear of it; in fact, she thinks Brooke being there is the best way to show everyone that all the feelings Brooke and Nick had are in the past. In fact, she won't go through with this wedding if her mother isn't there, so she asks Brooke to forget about any notion of not being at that wedding. Seeing how much it means to her daughter, Brooke agrees to be there. Bridget hugs her mom just as Eric comes in; he's sorry to interrupt this mother-daughter moment, but he's found the perfect dress for the wedding. Bridget thanks him and goes to try it on, so she can get on her way. Once Bridget is gone, Eric asks Brooke why she's going to the wedding. Bridget insisted, she explains. It won't be easy, Eric says. Brooke knows, but she also knows that it has to be done. Eric apologizes for ever doubting her: he can see how she's sacrificed her own happiness for Bridget's. Even if Bridget never knows what a gift Brooke's given her, Eric knows that Bridget's child's life will be better for it. And that's all that matters, Brooke says, because nothing is more important to her than their daughter's happiness.

Jackie asks Nick if he's sure.
Jackie arrives on the Shady Marlin and finds Nick getting dressed. She offers to do whatever he needs to get ready for the wedding. He points to some decorations on the couch. She asks if he's sure about this; he tells his mother not to go there, because he's marrying Bridget today, and that's all that's on his mind. His face says otherwise, she tells him. He also didn't look like a man who's made up his mind when he saw Brooke with Dante at Cafe Russe, she adds. Nick tells her that he doesn't have time for this. He needs to make time, she says, because his feelings for Brooke are real. What's real, he tells his mom, is his child. She says that she doesn't want him to turn his back on his child. But she also wants him to realize that going through with this wedding means being Bridget's husband. She asks if he's ready to be that. He says that he wants Bridget and their child to have the life they deserve. He's going to have to be more convincing to make this marriage work, she says. Calling off the wedding is pointless, he says, since Brooke and Bridget would both hate him. He loses either way. And if he doesn't go through with this wedding, he loses Bridget and their child, so he doesn't see any choice but to marry Bridget.

Massimo congratulates the groom.
Massimo arrives with Captain Seager, Nick's boat captain friend. Massimo congratulates his son on this momentous day for the Marone family, as he's sure that Bridget and their child will bring honor to the family name. They go above deck with Jackie, who gets some lights ready. Nick thanks his mother for her help. Eric and Brooke arrive with Bridget; Massimo makes Nick turn away, so as not to bring bad luck to the wedding by seeing the bride. Once Bridget goes below to check her make up, Mass tells Nick that the coast is clear and greets Eric and Brooke. Nick tells Brooke that he's surprised to see her; Bridget wouldn't take no for an answer, she explains. While Jackie takes Eric over to meet Captain Seager, Nick takes Brooke aside. He says that he thought he made himself clear earlier. This is what Bridget wants, Brooke says. Nick again says this wedding can't happen with Brooke here, but Brooke says it has to happen. No matter what she and he have to do to get through this, her daughter will marry him tonight!

Capt. Seager prepares for the wedding.
Eric and Jackie watch Brooke with Nick. Eric guesses that Nick didn't expect Brooke to be here. He told her not to come, Jackie says. Eric tells her that Bridget insisted. Jackie fears this could be very bad. Nick and Brooke join Massimo and Capt. Seager as they wait for Bridget. Seager explains that Nick wanted a simple ceremony. Brooke thinks that's best. Massimo laughs that the bridge and groom should know this by heart by now. Brooke says that practice makes perfect. The flute player arrives, so Eric goes to get Bridget and Nick gathers everyone else together so they can begin. Massimo suggests that he, Brooke and Jackie stand behind the captain, to give the bride and groom the limelight. Jackie agrees, so they step behind the captain. The flute player starts playing as Eric walks Bridget across the deck and gives her off to Nick. Nick again says they should get this moving. And here she thought she was anxious, Bridget laughs. Capt. Seager begins the ceremony for what he thinks will be Bridget and Nick's last trip to the altar. He quickly gets to the wedding vows; Bridget eagerly says her, "I do," but Nick is silent when it's his turn. Brooke looks toward Nick and says under her breath, "Say it, Nick. Say it."
