Thomas protests when Taylor calls the INS to deal with Gaby.
At the Bel Air mansion, Taylor tells Thomas not to do anything foolish, but he says he can't stay here. She assures him that Agent Dunn promised him immunity, but he refuses to leave Gaby alone, to be deported to a strange country. Taylor says that Gaby's a survivor and will be fine. Thomas can't believe he's hearing this from his usually compassionate mother, as he and Gaby love each other. She thinks he's too young to throw his life away over this, but he disagrees. Gaby needs him, he claims, especially since he, and not Gaby, initiated his going to her room last night. He tells Gaby that they're leaving. Taylor calls out for him to stop, but Thomas opens the door - and runs right into Agent Dunn and two uniformed officers! Thomas tells Dunn that he's leaving, so the agent can talk to his mother. Dunn says that Thomas isn't going anywhere, although he's more than happy to talk to Taylor, to get an official statement confirming what she said on the phone. Despite Thomas's pleas to stop, Taylor's more than happy to tell the agent that her son's marriage was a sham, meant only to secure Gaby a green card. She allowed the two of them to carry on their charade in her home, although she sees now that it was wrong. That's all Dunn needs to hear; ignoring Thomas's pleas that this is wrong, he orders the officers to cuff Gaby and take her into custody.

Agent Dunn meets resistance from Gaby's lawyer.
As the officers cuff a sobbing Gaby, Thomas tells Dunn to arrest him, too. Dunn says he won't do that, as he promised Taylor he wouldn't, but Thomas doesn't want any part of any deals. Dunn and the officers turn to leave, but when they open the door, they find a woman there telling them to stop. She says that she's Mrs. Forrester's attorney, Carmen Gutierrez. Taylor says that she didn't call a lawyer, Actually, Carmen says, Mrs. THOMAS Forrester called her!
Taylor is shocked that Gaby called a lawyer. Gaby says she gave her no choice. She doesn't want to be deported. And she won't be, right? Thomas asks Carmen. Carmen says that's why she's here. She asks Dunn what grounds he has for an arrest. Dunn informs her that he has Taylor's statement that the marriage is a sham. Carmen then asks Thomas and Gaby if their marriage is a fraud. No, they reply. And has the marriage been consummated? Carmen asks. Yes, Thomas says. Gaby adds that she and Thomas love each other. Of course Gaby will say that, Taylor states. What they have, Carmen claims, is a disgruntled mother in law who has issues with her son, the heir to Forrester Creations, marrying the minority daughter of the family maid, who died in a car accident involving Stephanie Forrester. That's not how it is, Taylor says. But that's how it will appear in a court of law, Carmen states, or even in the court of public opinion. She then advises Dunn that his career could be ruined if his case isn't 100% rock solid, so she suggests he remove the handcuffs. Dunn is forced to agree that this complicates things, especially since the marriage was consummated. But Gaby is twisting things, Taylor argues. Gaby tells her that whether she likes it or not, this marriage is real. Thomas agrees and tells the officers to remove the cuffs.

Nick is frustrated after his call to Brooke.
Brooke is by her pool with Dante, enjoying some wine and sunshine. Dante realizes that they forgot a bottle opener and offers to get one from the house. Brooke thanks him for caring so much for Bridget. Just as Dante leaves to get the opener, Brooke gets a call on her cell: it's Nick. He needs to see her, but she tells him again that it's over. He needs to focus on Bridget and their baby, she reminds him. Even though they're in love with each other? Nick asks. She tells him that he'll have a wonderful life with Bridget and their child, while she moves on - which is what she's doing right now. Nick asks what that means. She tells him that she'll do what she must to ensure her daughter's happiness and ends the call. Dante returns with the opener and sees the look on Brooke's face; he asks what's wrong?

Eric pays Nick a visit.
Eric drops by Nick's office. He sees the conflicted look on Nick's face. Nick asks what's on Eric's mind. Eric explains that he heard from Brooke that they've decided to bury their feelings for each other. He wants to know if Nick really plans to do that. If Nick can't completely commit to Bridget and the baby, Eric will have no choice but to tell Bridget the truth. Nick says that he doesn't want to hurt Bridget or the baby, but he doesn't think lying about his feelings is right. Then why do it? Eric asks. Nick replies that Brooke wants that way, since she doesn't want a repeat of her mistake with Deacon. Brooke wants to reassure Bridget, Eric agrees - and apparently, she must have an idea how to do that, since Brooke asked him for one more night before he tells Bridget the truth. A confused Nick asks what kind of plan Brooke might have that she can pull off in one night. Eric only knows that she asked for one more night. He could see how Brooke could reassure Bridget by reconnecting with Ridge, but he knows that's out of the question. Then what is Brooke talking about? Nick wonders.

Dante spends time with Brooke.
Brooke tells Dante that this is the first time she's been by the pool since Hope's accident. Dante apologizes for leaving that day. Fortunately, Brooke says, Hope's fine. But there's still something, Dante guesses. Brooke points out that her troubles with Bridget started that day. She knows now she shouldn't have gotten so close to Nick then. Dante recalls how hurt Bridget was after seeing Brooke with Nick then and guesses that tragedy brought their feelings out in the open. But they were feelings of compassion, Brooke says, not love, and Bridget should see that. She admits she loved Nick once, but that's in the past. Nick's future is with Bridget and the baby. Dante hopes Nick wants that. Brooke is sure he does, since Bridget is a better woman than her - although Dante knows that already, doesn't he? Dante agrees Bridget is special, but he thinks Brooke has a lot to offer a man, too - beside the obvious, of course, like her smile, eye and beauty. That must be the artist in him talking, Brooke says. An artist who's also a man, he replies. And a handsome one at that, Brooke says. Dante suggests they have some wine and go for a swim after; that sounds intoxicating, Brooke says - in more ways than one, she adds behind his back.
After a swim, Brooke and Dante share more wine. Dante says she seems relaxed. Because of he makes things so uncomplicated, she says. She wishes she was that way after making a mess of her life. Dante doesn't see her that way; he sees a beautiful, intelligent, vivacious woman who loves and hurts deeply, especially when the men in her world - specifically Forrester men - disappoint her. He suggests she try new horizons, like in Italy. They toast to Italy. Brooke asks how he feels about Bridget; he tells her that Bridget never returned his interests. She thinks Bridget must love Nick to resist a man like Dante. Not many woman can resist him, he says. Spoken like an Italian playboy, she says. He just appreciates beautiful women. Brooke appreciates his being kind to Bridget, and his spending time with an old woman like her today. She's not old, he says. Older than him, she says. But age makes no difference in the heart, he says. Brooke likes that answer - and speaking of answers, she asks if he's considering her offer of a position at Forrester. What kind of position? he asks. She's sure she can think of a lot for him to try, she teases. Dante says she went from being a saint to being naughty, but he likes it. She agrees.

Brooke tries to prove her point to Dante.
Just then, Brooke gets a call on her cell from Nick. She tells him Bridget must be at the hospital. Nick says he wants to talk to her, to know what she's thinking after Eric's visit earlier. She covers by saying that Bridget would love to celebrate over dinner, since she knows Bridget and he need time alone now. Nick asks what she's talking about; she tells him not to worry about her, as she has her own life, and she ends the call. She really put Nick behind her, Dante says, based on what he heard. Now if only he can convince Bridget, she says. She doesn't know how to thank him for supporting her daughter. He thinks the free room and board covers it, but she thinks he knows what she means. She just wishes he could reassure Bridget that he's over Nick. Dante says he needs proof, so Brooke provides some with a steamy kiss!
