Fireman Hector fixes Taylor's alarm.
Hector stops by the Bel Air mansion to check the alarm. Taylor tells him that she didn't know who else to call after the alarm company said they couldn't come until tomorrow (which is surprising since this is the first time we've heard that they even know each other - and since when do firemen fix alarms, anyway?). Hector asks if Ridge checked it; she tells him that Ridge isn't living there right now. Hector finds a short that's knocked out the whole system, including the smoke detectors, and goes to check the circuit breakers. Right after he leaves the room, Ridge comes in; after asking what happened to the doorbell, he tells Taylor that he got her message about Thomas and Gaby. He's sorry that he was right to worry that Gaby was taking advantage of their son. He wants to get that girl out of the house before she gets Thomas into bed again. Unfortunately, Taylor tells him, it's too late, as Thomas and Gaby already had sex. Ridge is furious; he knew they should have handled this his way, and he intends to do just that right now. If he's thinking of calling Agent Dunn, Taylor tells him, forget it: she already did that and gave the agent an official statement, but before Dunn could take a handcuffed Gaby into custody, Gaby's lawyer showed up. The lawyer pointed out that the marriage was consummated and that Thomas Gaby claim to be in love, so the marriage is real in the arms of the law. Ridge can't believe this. He wants to see his son right now. Taylor tells him that an angry Thomas left with Gaby, and she hasn't been able to find him. She's just sorry that she made some mistakes with this situation.

Taylor tells Ridge that she just wants honesty.
Ridge tells Taylor that she made some mistakes, all right: because of her unwillingness to listen to him or even consult him about Gaby and Thomas's "marriage," their son's life is a mess! Taylor reminds him that he wasn't here when the situation came to a head. She thinks she did the best she could under the circumstances. And was throwing him out the best she could do, too? he angrily asks. She says she didn't throw him out and reminds him that he was the one who didn't want to go to counseling. Because she have him an ultimatum, he says. Taylor's not willing to apologize for trying to marriage work, especially when she had to share a bed with a man who longed for his ex-wife. She thinks she deserves better. How can she blame Brooke for this? Ridge asks. She says she doesn't want to blame Brooke; in fact, she wants Brooke out of their lives! And she wants it on her terms, he fumes. He reminds her that he chose a life with her and their children, and ever since he did, she's been changing the rules on him. If he wants to blame her, Taylor tells Ridge, go ahead; she just wants to fix their marriage. By talking it to death in therapy? he asks. By promoting honest communication between them, she says. Ridge says he was honest with her. He told her how he needed support dealing with the loss of RJ and Hope. He confided in her that he felt betrayed by his own mother. And he told her that he wanted Gaby out of his house. But she didn't listen. For all her knowledge as a shrink, she didn't hear him, which is why she doesn't know squat about what he and this family need!

Ridge fumes at Taylor's behavior.
Just then, Hector comes in; overhearing, he tells Ridge to stop. Ridge asks his wife why the fireman is here; she tells him that she asked him to fix the alarm. Hector tells Ridge that his circuit breaker overloaded; he recommends a walk for Ridge to cool off. Ridge says he'll take a walk, all right, to find his won and fix this fiasco! Taylor asks him to tell Thomas that she loves him once he finds their son. Like that'll make everything better, Ridge sarcastically quips. He laments that he moved Brooke, Hope and RJ out so he, Taylor and their kids could be a family again. Throwing his hands up in frustration, he just wishes... That he stayed with Brooke and her children? Taylor asks. Ridge throws up his hands again and storms off, as Hector and an upset Taylor watch.

Dante recalls his day with Brooke.
Dante enjoys a cup of coffee at Insomnia as he fondly recalls his kiss with Brooke. Bridget comes over and asks what's got him so distracted. He tells her that he's been worried about her. He wants to know if she and Nick are OK. Not really, she says; the problem is that she never sees him, with all his crises at work - or at least, that's what Nick says it is. She just can't shake the thought that Nick is still avoiding her because there's something going on between him and her mom. Dante thinks he can give her some reassurance about that. In fact, he's been meaning to tell her about his interesting afternoon with a beautiful woman. They spent time in the sun and by the pool, drinking wine, and this lady just... Intrigued, Bridget asks if this woman has a name; he tells her that the woman's name is Brooke. As in her mother, Brooke Logan? Bridget asks. That's right, he chuckles. Bridge is surprised as Dante tells her about the amazing time he had with her mother. It was unexpected, and they talked quite a while, especially about Bridget. He can see how much her mother loves her and wants her to have a happy life with Nick and their baby. She asks what her mom did to convince him of that. They kissed, Dante says. Bridget is even more surprised. Dante asks why; just because she never fell for him doesn't mean other women won't. Bridget gets up abruptly and says she has to go. Dante tries to stop her, but she says she'll call him later and leaves.

Eric worries about Brooke's ruse.
Eric is at Brooke's house, following up on their conversation from yesterday. He doesn't know what she was up to, and he really doesn't even want to know. He just wants to tell her that he can't hide the truth from Bridget anymore. Their daughter senses something on between her mother and fiance, he explains, so it's only a matter of time before Bridget figures out how Brooke and Nick feel. That won't happen, Brooke says, since she's seeing another man. Eric can't believe it, since another man won't solve his. She tells him that the man is Dante Damiano. They spent the afternoon together and even kissed. Eric worries that she's lost his mind, but she says she knows what she's doing. She can't tell Bridget that the father of Bridget's child and she are in love with each other, so it's all over for her and Nick. Can she really just turn off those feelings? Eric asks. Brooke thinks she can do anything for her daughter. Eric doesn't doubt that, but he also knows that feelings like her's for Nick, and Nick's for her, just don't go away, no matter many Italian men she kisses. He's especially worried that Nick hasn't given up on her. Once Nick sees that she's moved on, Brooke explains, he'll be able to commit to Bridget and their child. Eric asks if she can just decide that way. Yes, she says, she can. She's made her decision, and she can't change it: their daughter's happiness depends on it.

Bridget is curious about Brooke and Dante.
As if on cue, Bridget arrives. Seeing her dad, she asks for time alone with her mom, but Brooke says it's OK, as Eric knows about Dante already. So it's true? Bridget asks. It was completely unexpected, Brooke says. Dante said the same thing, Bridget indicates. Brooke says that she doesn't even remember how her talk with Dante at the office led to them being by her pool, where they... Where they kissed, a surprised Bridget finishes. Brooke agrees that it shocked even her. She guesses wonderful things happen when you're not looking for them to happen. She thinks Dante is a refreshing change, in fact. Bridget questions her mother finding Dante so wonderful, especially after all the other men in Brooke's life. "Present company excluded," Eric says. Brooke points out to Bridget that even Eric approves - but even if he didn't, she knows what she's doing. She knows that Bridget has moved on with Nick, with a baby on the way and all the amazing experiences that come with that to look forward to. Now, she wants to move on, too, and she thinks someone as comfortable and uncomplicated as Dante can help her do that. She just hopes Bridget isn't uncomfortable with her being with Dante. That's not it, Bridget says. It's just that she thought her mom was doing this because... She stops and says to forget it. It's all good. Yes, Brooke agrees, it is, especially for Bridget and Nick, who'll soon be married and raising their child together. And who knows how things will go with Dante, Bridget tells her mom. Whatever happens will be... It will be wonderful, Brooke says. She hugs Bridget and promises her a wonderful life from now on. Bridget says she believes Brooke and returns the embrace.
