Ridge tells Taylor that he wants to save their marriage.
At the Bel Air mansion, Taylor can't believe that Ridge has agreed to counseling. He says he did. They have to so something, he explains, even though he always thought that they could get through any rough spot on their own. This is more than a rough spot, Taylor says. But it will seem like one when they're through this, Ridge replies. Taylor asks if he's committed to this; he says he's committed to her, so he'll give 100% to bring their family together again. Taylor is surprised, but relieved to hear him say that. She admits that she worried that he might never come around, especially after Brooke's phone call. He asks if she talked to Brooke. She tells him how she called his phone and Brooke answered. Ridge tells her that he left his phone there. And Brooke must have thought it was him calling to find it, Taylor says, because she said she had the phone... and she then ended the call by saying, "I love you, too, Ridge." Did he tell Brooke he loved her? she asks. He says he did, but it's not what she thinks. They were talking about RJ, and wondered if they could still be friends. Brooke didn't think so, but he said they shared a child, and love would be part of that. Brooke's response on the phone just meant she agreed. So he and Brooke are still friends? Taylor asks. They are, Ridge says, suggesting they address the issue of Brooke in counseling. Right now, he says, he's right where he wants to be, with her. He may be confused about some things, but not about her, he tells his "Doc."
Taylor is glad to hear Ridge say these things. He says he should have said them long ago, since he changed when she was gone. She says he's still the man she married, but he points out that he was a Forrester then, but now he's a Marone. But he's still her husband and the father of their children, she says. But when he thought she died, he says, he moved on with Brooke; she says she never blamed him for that. And he had to choose when she came back, he reminds her, even though he didn't want to hurt anyone. Then his mother hijacked his decision, because he wasn't ready to choose. But he is now. Taylor says she's made mistakes, too, like not listening to him about Gaby and Thomas. In counseling, they can admit those mistakes, while focusing on what's right in their marriage. They hug, agreeing that this is a good start. They agree that it will be good to have him home, so they can get things back to how they were. He asks if things have been rough around here. Taylor says that it was a huge mistake to let Gaby move in. They'll settle that on the runway, Ridge says. Taylor says they'll have to work on that Forrester competitive streak in counseling. He asks if she'll be complaining this way while he tries to win her back. He never lost her, she says. He admits that he hasn't deserved her these last few months, but he promises to fix that. When he lost her, he never thought he could fill that void, but now he has her back, and he intends to make it up to her and the kids. They'll never doubt him again, he vows. Taylor starts to cry; Ridge then kisses her.

Nick tells Bridget that he wants to set down some roots.
On the Shady Marlin, Nick kisses Bridget as he tears off her apron and carries her to the bed. He says he needs her. She asks about dinner; he tells her to forget about it, as the only things that matter to him right now are the two of them. After they make love, Bridget notes something different about him lately. They're married, he says. But everything is still good between them? she asks. He says yes. She thinks he's right that marriage has changed them; she's just glad he's still attracted to her. He says that she'll be the most gorgeous mother ever. Bridget responds that she'd have ten of his kids as long as they have a place to put them. Nick suggests that they find that house they always talked about. She's glad to hear him say that, although she's surprised that he'd leave the boat. He says that nothing's too good for his family. Bridget admits that she hesitated about bringing this up to him, since she knows how much the boat means to him. He'll still have the boat, he says, but he'll also be putting down roots for their family. He asks if she's thought about where they should live. As a matter of fact, she says, she printed some listings. Nick asks to see them, but she realizes that she left them at Forrester. She offers to go get them; Nick says it can wait, but Bridget says she won't be long. She tells him she loves him and says she'll be right back. While she's gone, Nick picks at his dinner as he thinks back to Big Bear; he recalls Brooke saying that their love will always be there, just not the way they hoped.

Stephanie continues her accusations against Brooke.
Brooke orders Stephanie out of her office. Stephanie says she won't let Brooke hurt Bridget or that baby. Brooke tells her to stop making ridiculous accusations, but Stephanie says she saw Brooke with Nick at Big Bear. Brooke says she and Nick ran into each other, but Stephanie refuses to believe it. She says that she expects this kind of selfishness from Brooke, but not from Nick. Brooke says that Nick is a wonderful man. Except he got mixed up with Brooke, Stephanie retorts, wondering if Nick will one day figure it out. Brooke says that Nick has never let her down; when Stephanie ruined her marriage and Ridge turned her away, Nick was there for her. Stephanie accuses Brooke of convincing herself that she's in love with Nick and asks if they've had sex. Brooke says she hasn't; it's not... It's not what? Stephanie asks. If Brooke's going to say it's not the end of Bridget's marriage, Stephanie thinks it is.

Brooke urges Stephanie not to upset Bridget with her accusations.
Brooke insists that Bridget's marriage is fine, but Stephanie thinks it's only a matter of time before Bridget sees the feelings between Nick and Brooke, just like she saw it that night at the cabin, when Bridget found out she was pregnant. Brooke says she and Bridget have dealt with that. How? Stephanie asks. By telling Bridget what she wants to hear? Brooke insists that she supports Bridget's marriage. Then what was Nick doing with her at Big Bear? Stephanie asks Brooke. Brooke thinks Stephanie has found a new reason to hate her, but Stephanie says she has enough reasons to last a lifetime. Brooke thinks Stephanie should be relieved that she isn't bothering anyone in Stephanie's family, including Ridge and Taylor. Instead, Stephanie says, Brooke is stealing her second son in law from Bridget. Brooke says she would sooner have an affair with Stephanie. Stephanie says she'd sooner douse herself with gasoline. Brooke pleads with Stephanie not to upset Bridget with these accusations. She wishes Stephanie had not come here this way. Stephanie actually agrees: she sees now that she should have gone to Bridget first!

Bridget is shocked to find her mother and Stephanie arguing about her.
Brooke tells Stephanie to stay away from Bridget, but Stephanie thinks she knows the truth and wants Bridget to know it, too! It will be better if Bridget hears it from someone who loves her, Stephanie says, rather than walking in on Nick one day and finding out how he feels about her mother. If Stephanie really loves Bridget, Brooke states, she'll stop with these accusations and let Brooke and Nick be happy. Stephanie thinks it's better that Bridget knows what's happening between Brooke and Nick. Brooke says nothing is happening: she would never do that to her daughter. Stephanie says she's lost count of the times Brooke has said she won't do something, only to then turn around and do it anyway. Just then, Bridget arrives; she stands outside and listens as Stephanie says that she intends to pull Bridget and the baby out of Brooke's path. Bridget comes in and asks what about her and her baby. Brooke tells Bridget that Stephanie is still hung up on her vendetta against Brooke, so she pleads with Bridget not to listen to Stephanie's baseless accusations. Stephanie tells Bridget that Brooke is after Nick, but Brooke says that Stephanie is wrong. As Brooke considers what her mother and Stephanie are saying, Stephanie says that she saw Nick with Brooke at Big Bear today. She's sorry to tell Bridget this way, but she thinks Bridget deserves to know that Brooke is after Nick and won't stop until she has him. Bridget looks to Brooke for answers.
