Nick tells Brooke that his father will not tell Stephanie anything.
In Nick's office, Brooke waits for Nick to wrap up a phone call. While she waits, she recalls the night on the Marlin when she and Nick admitted their feelings for each other. Nick ends the call and tells Brooke that he spoke to Massimo, who promised not to say anything to Stephanie if asked. Brooke tells him that she was just thinking about that night on the boat. Maybe it shouldn't have happened, he says. Brooke asks if he really thinks that; he says he doesn't. Brooke says that thinking about that makes her strong and puts her at ease in a way she can't explain. She especially doesn't want to explain it to Bridget, as it's her and Nick's private moment. Nick hopes that it stays private with Stephanie digging. Brooke thanks god that they can trust the people who know. Nick doesn't think he's given Bridget reason to doubt him, so he thinks they can handle this, no matter what Stephanie does. He then tells Brooke that he's been buying stuff for the kid, like toys and a catcher's mitt. In fact, he feels like going out to buy something now and asks her to join him, but she says she really shouldn't. In that case, Nick guesses he should just go home.

Jackie comes in; when she sees Brooke, she apologizes for interrupting and turns to leave, but Nick tells her to stay. She tells him that she just wanted to drop off the album she made of the wedding photos. Brooke is glad she has this chance to talk to Jackie. Nick tells his mother to close the door. Brooke then tells Jackie that she knows Eric told her about what happened on Nick's boat that night. He did, Jackie confirms. Brooke asks if Jackie knows what happened to change that. Jackie says she does, and even though it took her a while, she sees how happy Nick is since he married Bridget and has accepted that his marriage is for the best. Nick asks his mom if she told anyone about that night; Jackie says she didn't and asks why. Nick tells her that Stephanie is trying to find out. Jackie is furious; she can't believe Stephanie would be so destructive. Nick tells her that Stephanie thinks she's helping Bridget by doing this. Still, Jackie thinks she's the last person Stephanie would come to for help. "She knows that you wanted Nick and me together," Brooke points out. Brooke tells Jackie that Bridget is better for Nick than she is. And Nicky loves her, Jackie points out. She admits that she once thought Nick would never get over Brooke, but she knows now that they had some difficult decisions to make and respects that. She also points out that Brooke is still in Nick's life. Brooke is part of their family now, so she promises not to tell Stephanie anything. Brooke thanks her. Jackie turns to leave so she can give the photo album to Bridget. Brooke warns her that Stephanie might be hovering. In that case, Jackie promises as she leaves, she'll be just the dragon slayer that Bridget needs.

Eric tells Stephanie not to stir up trouble for his family.
At Forrester, Eric orders Stephanie not to tell Bridget about Brooke and Nick's feelings for each other. He tells her that Nick has married the woman he wants, so there is no need for her to stir up trouble that will only hurt his daughter. He assures her that it's over between Brooke and Nick. Stephanie says that it's never over with Brooke. Eric asks why she can't accept that Brooke sacrificed her own happiness so that Bridget can be happy. Because that "happiness" is based on filling Bridget's head with fairy tales, Stephanie argues: she can't believe Eric is OK with these lies. Eric reminds her that she promised not to tell Bridget. And he promised to love her 'til death do them part, she reminds him. She can't believe how easily people like she and Brooke accept their own lies. It's too late for her, she says, but not for Bridget. Eric says that this is none of her business, as Bridget is HIS daughter, not hers. That doesn't give him the right to lie to Bridget and treat her like a child, Stephanie says. He asks what their marriage would have been like had he always told her the unvarnished truth. If he did, she argues, she at least would have been spared being pushed aside so he could marry his slut. So that's what this is all about, Eric says: she's doing this to get back at Brooke. Not only was Brooke better than her in bed, he says, but she's now proved she's a better mother by putting her children's needs before her own. He tells Stephanie that she's the only one who is putting Bridget's marriage in jeopardy.

Stephanie lets Eric know how she feels.
Stephanie can't believe that Eric sees Brooke's actions as noble and selfless when Brooke is lying to her daughter. She thinks a marriage is built on trust, but there is none in this marriage because of Brooke's so-called sacrifice. Eric accuses her of doing this to get back at Brooke for exposing her fake heart attack: what better way to do that than to turn Brooke's daughter against her? Stephanie says she, unlike him, is trying to save Bridget's dignity. Eric reminds her that Nick married Bridget; he admits that Brooke and Nick admitted their love for each other, but Nick then went back to Bridget and hasn't strayed since - and things will stay that way if she just leaves them alone. Which leaves Brooke for him, she suggests: she can't understand how Eric would put his daughter in a loveless marriage just so he could have another chance to get into Brooke's blouse. She calls him a rutting old goat, and walks past him. As she passes, he grabs her by the shoulders and turns her to face him. He looks at her and warns her that he will hate her forever if she goes to Bridget with this. She just raises her brow at him and leaves, without saying a word.

Dante draws a picture of Bridget.
Bridget is in Dante's office at Forrester, sitting for a portrait that will be a belated wedding present. She tells him not to do anything avant-garde. He says he won't, as long as she stops moving around and being distracted by her cell phone. She says she turned it off and jokes that she's the one who's supposed to have mood swings. He admits he doesn't blame her with Stephanie crying wolf. She agrees, since it's obvious that Nick and her mom will run into each other occasionally. But that doesn't matter, she says, since she knows Nick is committed to her. Dante tells her that he went to see Nick earlier; even though Nick sees her as a pest, he says, he has to admit that she's right to trust Nick and her marriage. She hopes he didn't give Nick grief about her mom, even if he was looking out for her best interests. Dante admits that Nick has her fair and square. However, if anything ever happens with Nick, he wants to be the first to know. Bridget laughs; he tells her again to stop moving. He tells her that Stephanie has it backward: there's a man kissing up to her mother, who would rather be with her. She's glad at least one man doesn't look at her as a consolation prize after being passed up by her mom. Doesn't she mean two men? Dante asks. "Oh, and Nick. That's what I meant," she quickly responds.

Brooke is honest with Bridget.
Later, Brooke comes into Dante's office and is surprised to find Bridget there. Bridget tells her that Dante is in the cutting room, and she asks her mom not to tell Nick she saw her here. She explains that Dante is painting a portrait of her as a late wedding gift. Brooke asks when she'd see Nick to tell him, anyway. She hopes Bridget hasn't been swayed by Stephanie's talk of her and Nick secretly meeting. Of course not, Bridget says; it's just that she knows how her mom is with secrets, and it's natural that her mom might run into Nick somewhere. She asks her mom if they can be completely honest while they're alone. She admits to Brooke that she sees what Stephanie does when she sees Brooke and Nick together. She asks Brooke to admit she still has feelings for Nick and hopes Brooke won't hold back out of fear that she can't handle the truth. Brooke can't believe they're revisiting this: yes, she has feelings for Nick. He's an incredible man, so what woman wouldn't be a bit in love with him? But even so, she knows she has to keep her distance. Bridget tells Brooke to go on; she knows marriage is based on trust, and hers is based on her trust in Brooke. Brooke explains that the love she feels for Nick comes from seeing how devoted he is to her daughter. She loves Nick for loving Bridget, and that's the truth. Bridget hugs her mom and thanks her; she's glad Brooke was able to open up and be honest with her, so she won't ask about this again.

Jackie faces off with Stephanie.
Jackie arrives at the Shady Marlin and finds no one home, so she starts to leave a note with the wedding album. Just then, Stephanie arrives. Jackie tells her that no one's home. Stephanie says she'll wait, but Jackie tells her that she doesn't think Nick or Bridget will be coming back for a while. Stephanie still says she'll wait, and she tells Jackie not to feel obligated to wait with her. Jackie says she doesn't feel that, but she does wonder what Stephanie wants, since the Forrester matriarch isn't exactly welcome here. Stephanie sees Jackie's note and grabs it; she then spots the wedding album and picks it up. How sweet, she says, flipping through it and seeing photos of the event she wasn't invited to. She then starts tearing photos out of the album! Jackie asks what's she's doing; she didn't think even Stephanie could be this vindictive. Stephanie says she knows what's going on, so she's tearing up signs of a wedding that only took place to play Bridget for a patsy. That's not true, Jackie insists: her son knows what honor is, and a mother sometimes has to make sacrifices. Stephanie is sick of that word: she asks Jackie what happened to the champion of truth who exposed her heart attack scam. Or does she just care about the truth when she needs to humiliate Stephanie? Jackie says she won't let Stephanie ruin her family the way she did her own. Stephanie laughs: she taunts that Jackie won't stop her from telling Bridget the truth. And once she does, she adds, Bridget can move in with her and she'll help raise the baby. Incensed at Stephanie's obsession, Jackie tells her to forget it: she angrily tells Stephanie, "Nick, Bridget and the child that she's carrying -- they're mine. They will never be yours."
