Ridge and Taylor discuss their counseling.
At the Bel Air mansion, Ridge and Taylor discuss their counseling session. She asks him to move back in, but he says he has to think about things first. She asks if those "things" include his being upset to learn that she kissed Hector. He sarcastically reminds her that he made a vow to her. He turned his life upside down and left the house when she asked. And she, meanwhile, kissed another man; what's upsetting about that? Taylor says that it was one kiss, when she was vulnerable, and she told Hector it couldn't happen again. Ridge seems skeptical. Taylor suggests that it might be a good thing that she kissed Hector; now he knows what it's like to see someone he loves attracted to someone else. Maybe now he can understand how torn up she is by his feelings for Brooke. Ridge reminds her of the sacrifices he's made for her; he's done everything she's asked, including living apart from his son RJ. He doesn't know what else he can do to prove that Brooke isn't a threat to their marriage. Just then, the phone rings; it's Bridget. She tells Ridge something that shocks him. He tries to get more information, but she hangs up first. Taylor asks Ridge what's wrong; he tells her that Bridget said that Brooke got married last night. To whom? Taylor wonders. Bridget didn't say, Ridge replies. Taylor hopes it's not Dante. Ridge doesn't know, but he intends to find out. He bolts out the door, leaving a frustrated Taylor behind.

Hector listens to Taylor's frustrations.
Soon after, the doorbell rings; it's Hector. He knows he shouldn't be here, but he wanted to find out how the counseling sessions went. Rome wasn't built in a day, she retorts. Hector asks what happened. She explains that she told Ridge about their kiss, and he didn't take it well. So Ridge doesn't grasp the concept of a double standard, Hector guesses. He's trying, Taylor replies - but then, just as they were discussing things, he got a call that Brooke got married, and he ran out as soon as he heard about Brooke's latest crisis. She feels like she's living on borrowed time, never knowing when Ridge and Brooke might run into each other and reconnect. Only a fool would lose her, Hector states. Taylor doesn't know if she can take it any more. It's becoming unbearable to wonder when Brooke and Ridge might find each other again. And it might even be happening now, she fears.

Nick can't believe that Brooke married Eric.
At Brooke's house, Nick can't believe that Brooke married Eric, especially since his mother thinks Eric is about to propose to her tonight. Brooke assures him that Eric is married to her. Nick thinks this must be some kind of joke, that she added Eric to this mess. Brooke tells him that she wanted to give Bridget back her family. But it's a family built on deception, Nick argues. Brooke thinks it's the only way. Nick says they already tried denying their feelings for each other, and it didn't work. Everyone knows how they feel about each other, he insists. Brooke doesn't want to listen and asks him to leave, but Nick grabs her and looks her in the eye. He says that she knows that she loves him, just like he loves her. Brooke refuses to hurt her daughter. Nick tells her that all her good intentions are a load of crap; he reminds her that Bridget is a grown woman who doesn't need her parents "given back to her." Brooke says this isn't just about Bridget; it's about her not wanting to be the kind of person who disgraces the family. "What about me?" Nick asks. She tells him to be a good husband to Bridget, but he says they tried that and failed. He refuses to let her go. Brooke says that there's no other choice.
Brooke tells Nick that she's not available. Nick can't believe that Eric is the answer, but Brooke says she is focusing on what's important, her family - her daughter, the baby and the man she's with. But she's not in love with that man, Nick says. It's more than that, Brooke says. Like what? Nick asks. When Brooke won't answer, Nick overturns the coffee table, tossing its contents into the fire and tells her that it's all about passion. He pulls her into his arms and says that she feels that passion for him, but not for Eric or any other man. He's on top of her; they're breathing heavy and almost kissing when he asks, "Do you feel passion now?" Brooke tries to resists, but after he repeats the questions, she answers, "Yes!" The start to kiss and roll on the sofa, but Brooke then pulls away and says that "no!" She tells an exhausted Nick that she's made her decision, and there is no turning back now. Nick stares at her in disbelief. He approaches her and looks her in the eye before turning away and walking out the door. As the door closes, Brooke starts to cry.

Brooke tells Ridge who she married.
Soon after, Ridge comes in and finds Brooke still crying. He asks "Logan" what's wrong. She wipes her tears and asks why he's here. He tells her that Bridget called him, all upset that she (Brooke) had gotten married. He asks if it's true, but he then sees her ring and realizes that it is. She asks why he cares, since it's her life. Of course he cares, he says, because he loves her. She tells him not to go there. She then asks him why Bridget was upset, especially since everything she did is FOR Bridget. Including getting married? he asks. She says that she wanted to do right by her daughter. He tells her that he heard about her and Nick from his mother, but he can't see her marrying Nick, knowing how that would hurt Bridget. It's not Nick, she says. Is it Dante? he asks. No, Brooke says. Then who is it? Ridge asks. Brooke tells him that she is focusing on her family; she;s making sure Bridget and the baby are happy, and she's running the company with Eric. But who did she marry> he asks. "Your father," she replies. That's ridiculous, he says, as his father is married to his mother. Not anymore, she says. Ridge doesn't believe her, so she tells him how Jonathan helped Eric get a divorce. He asks if his mother knows' she's not sure. Ridge is sickened by this. Brooke tells him that this is the greatest gift she can give Bridget. But marriage isn't a gift that can be wrapped up in a box; Ridge says; it's a commitment. Like the one he made to her? Brooke asks. Ridge then thinks he has it all figured out; he thinks there is only one man Brooke loves, and it's not his father or Nick. "Is it you? Is that what you're trying to say?" Brooke asks him.

Jackie gets disappointing news.
At the beach house, Jackie is going on about their wedding. She asks if the minister is coming, since she'll want to change into something more appropriate for the ceremony. She asks if she can wear her ring; there is no other ring, Eric says. Jackie is confused, as she saw the receipt. Eric tells her that there's been a misunderstanding. But he got divorced, she says, and she has the place decked out for romance. She was sure that they were going to get married. Eric tells her that he's already married. Jackie is confused; he says that he doesn't want to hurt her. Nearly in tears, she reminds him she's standing here in a negligee she found gift wrapped, with candles lit. And now he's saying he married someone else? she asks. Eric starts to tell her about the time they spent together, but she tells him to spare her. He tells her that something happened last night, with Brooke. Brooke? she asks. He explains that he and Brooke wanted to help Bridget. And the fact is that he loves Brooke and has tor a long time. And now, Brooke has realized that her life is with him. That's impossible, a stunned Jackie says. It's sudden, Eric says, but it's possible. Jackie tells him that Nick intends to marry Brooke tonight, but he tells her that he and Brooke got married Brooke in Las Vegas last night. Jackie grabs her clothes and runs out the door. Eric follows her out onto the porch and calls out her name. As he car speeds off, Eric says, "Jackie, I'm sorry."

Eric is surprised by his visitor.
Soon after, the doorbell rings; Eric thinks it's Brooke. but it's Stephanie. She sees he's alone and asks where Jackie is. He says that she left. Stephanie looks around and sees the bottle of wine is still corked. She's relieved, as she was worried that he might have done something stupid. Eric smirks at her. She then asks how he could ask Jonathan to get him a covert divorce in some banana republic, even with all they've been through lately. Born from years of hell with her, he remarks.

Stephanie is shocked by Eric's news.
Stephanie says that she loves him and asks if they can put this all behind them, but Eric can't after what she did to Bridget. She says that she only wanted Bridget to know the truth. She assures him that she wants to save their marriage, but he tells her that it's too late. It's not too late, Stephanie insists, refusing to let him go. Eric says that there are some things she can't control; in fact, he just returned from Las Vegas, where he got married last night. She asks who he married. She won't like this, he tells her.
