A soot covered Taylor returns from helping Hector.
Hector and Taylor walk into her Bel Air home; Taylor's wearing a white pantsuit covered with soot, while Hector wears his fireman gear. He thanks her for talking that man down from a ledge in a burning building. He thinks they make a good team. But how often does he need a shrink at a fire? Taylor asks. Hector tells her to let him worry about the fires. About putting them out, she asks, or getting them started? Keeping them alive, he says as he starts to kiss her. He lowers her to the sofa as the kisses get hot and heavy. She calls out his name...

Hector tells Taylor how he feels.
...which brings him back to reality. He is sitting on Taylor's couch as she comes downstairs and asks if he's OK. He says he is and reminds her that she left a message for him. She says that she wanted to make sure she was clear when they last talked. When she thanked him for a wonderful evening and his friendship, he recalls, and when she called him an "amazing man." She also told him that she's committed to her marriage, she reminds him. And as long as she is, he adds, he can't see her. She says that he could have called for her to tell him this. But then he wouldn't have seen how beautiful she is, he replies, and she's so beautiful that he can't get her off his mind. She wonders if she was clear enough. He says that she was, but he wasn't listening. She tells him that he's a wonderful man, but she's trying to fix her marriage. Hector doubts that she can fix it. She doesn't want him to get the wrong idea about that kiss. She assures him that she's committed to her marriage and her family, and she's trying to be happy. Hector says he wants her to be happy, too, but he doubts Ridge can do that for someone as giving as her.

Ridge wants to save his marriage.
Right on cue, Ridge comes in, ready to go for his and Taylor's first counseling session. Taylor says that they agreed to meet at the therapist's office. Ridge says he wanted to score some points for thoughtfulness by going with her, to show her how committed he is to their marriage. Hector says that he thought Ridge wasn't into counseling. Ridge admits that he wasn't, but he is into his wife and is willing to do anything to prove to her how much he loves her. She says she'll get her purse and walks Hector to the door. She tells him that Ridge is really trying. Hector says that he only wants her to be happy, and if Ridge can do that... He leaves. Taylor then asks Ridge if he's ready for their therapy session. If it's with her, he says, he is. Actually, she says, it's with Dr. Higgins. Ridge can't wait to meet him. To meet HER, Taylor corrects, telling him that Mary Ann Higgins is the best in her field. In that case, Ridge says, they should be able to show Dr. Higgins that he's not such a bad guy and wrap this up in one session. He bets the doctor can even explain how he can love two women. Taylor tells him to be serious and honest, or this won't work. Ridge hopes that goes both ways. She says it does. That's good, Ridge says, since he wants to heal the rift in their family more than anything.
On the Shady Marlin, Nick still can't reach Bridget on her cell phone. Brooke bets that Stephanie won't let Bridget answer. She doesn't know where to look, but she knows they have to find Bridget before Stephanie tells her what happened that night. Nick agrees. Since they don't know for sure where Stephanie is, he tells Brooke to check the Forrester mansion while he looks at Forrester Creations.

Eric tells Jonathan to get him that divorce.
At Forrester, Eric is on the phone with Jonathan, who is on his way to Santo Domingo to file for Eric's divorce. Jonathan asks Eric one more time if he's sure he wants to do this. Eric says he is. And since Jonathan holds Stephanie's power of attorney, he can use that in Dominican Republic to get Eric a legal divorce. Jonathan asks Eric to at least sleep on it. Eric tells the attorney to call him when he gets to the hotel and hangs up. Just then, Nick arrives, looking for Bridget. When Eric says he hasn't seen his daughter, Nick explains that Stephanie is with Bridget, ready to tell her about what happened between him and Brooke on the boat. Eric tells Nick to check Big Bear while he checks the beach house. Before they do anything, Nick has one question for Eric: he wants to know what possessed Eric to tell Stephanie what happened.
Nick asks Eric why he told Stephanie the truth.
Eric admits he made a huge mistake in trying to get Stephanie to understand. Just then, Jonathan calls Eric back. He wants Eric to make sure he wants this divorce before he files these papers. Eric says he no longer has any doubt: he wants this divorce. Meanwhile, Nick gets a call from Brooke on his cell phone. She tells him that she's at the mansion. She sees Stephanie's car and the lights are on, so she's sure Stephanie is here with Bridget. Nick says he'll be right over, but Brooke asks him to hold off until she can talk to Bridget. She ends the call. Nick tells Eric what Brooke said. He just hopes nothing happens to threaten his marriage. Eric says that he's sorry; he really hoped telling Stephanie the truth would make her understand his and Brooke's commitment to Bridget. Nick thinks Eric should have known what Stephanie would do with that information. Eric points out that he's not the one who got caught with Brooke at Big Bear. That was a chance encounter, Nick says. He reminds Eric that he and Brooke have buried their own feelings for Bridget's sake. He just hopes that Stephanie's hatred of Brooke doesn't destroy his marriage and make Brooke hate her mother forever.

Stephanie tries to slowly tell Bridget what she knows.
Inside the Forrester mansion, Bridget refuses to listen to Stephanie's "lies" about her mother and Nick. Stephanie tells her to ask Eric is she doesn't believe her, as he knows the truth. So does Jackie. Everyone but her is trying to hide the truth from Bridget. She reminds Bridget that she's never lied to her, no matter how painful it was. She wants Bridget to know that she loves her and is on her side, while Bridget's mother and husband are in love. Bridget says she doesn't need anyone on her side, since her mom and Nick's feelings for each other are in the past. Stephanie insists that Eric told her that Brooke and Nick betrayed Bridget, but Bridget still thinks it's a lie. She recalls how perfect her wedding was, and how her mother wished her the best. Stephanie admits that Brooke is sometimes a loving mother, which is why it's hard to understand the things Brooke does. Nevertheless, she knows that what Brooke is doing is wrong. She thinks Bridget even sees it, but is denying it. That's why she's urging Bridget to be strong, for herself and for her child. She asks Bridget if she wants to be married to a man who loves her mother more. Bridget says that Nick loves her, but Stephanie says that he is obligated to her because of the baby. And when he and Brooke thought that his obligation was ended because Bridget had told them she's aborted her child, they pledged their love to one another. Brooke even told Eric that Nick was her destiny, Stephanie adds.
Bridget still doesn't want to believe what Stephanie he is saying about her mother. Stephanie says that she knows Bridget loves her mother, but she thinks it's time Bridget admits the ugly truth that Brooke is nothing but a selfish bitch with a capital B! Brooke betrayed her with Deacon, Stephanie tells Bridget, and now, as sick as it is, she's doing it again with Nick. If this is true, Bridget asks, why didn't her dad tell her himself? Because he sees what Brooke is doing as a noble sacrifice, Stephanie says, even though it's not. Bridget wants to talk to her mother. Go right ahead, Stephanie says; she just wants Bridget to be wary not to listen to any of Brooke's lies. Bridget tells her to stop, but Stephanie keeps hammering; she tells Bridget to let Nick and Brooke have each other, while she helps Bridget with the baby until Bridget can find a man who loves her the way she deserves to be loved. She fears it will kill Bridget not to listen to what she is telling her now. Just then, Brooke comes in; she tries to get Bridget to leave with her, but Bridget wants to know if what Stephanie just told her is true. Brooke doesn't think Stephanie could say anything true about her.
Brooke has to answer Bridget's questions.
Bridget asks Brooke if she was with Nick the night she told them about the "abortion." Brooke says she was: they were devastated and blamed themselves, but nothing happened. Stephanie orders Brooke to tell the truth. Bridget asks Brooke if she told Nick she was in love with him. Brooke is silent as Bridget demands to know if her mom and her fiance rushed into each other's arms once they thought she had lost Nick's baby. Brooke is still silent. Bridget demands that her mom answer her. Is it true?! she asks again. Brooke is nearly in tears as Stephanie barks at her, "Tell her the truth, will you? For once in your selfish, pathetic life, think of someone else and just tell her the truth!"
