Jackie tries to get through to Stephanie.

On The Shady Marlin, Stephanie starts to pack Bridget's things; she doesn't think Bridget will be in any shape to do it herself once she hears the truth about her mother and Nick. Jackie warns Stephanie not to say a word to Bridget about Nick and Brooke, but Stephanie insists that Bridget needs to know that she's being lied to by her own mother and husband. Jackie insists that Nick and Bridget love each other, and she reminds Stephanie that Bridget is carrying Nick's child! Stephanie notes that Nick is also carrying a torch for Brooke, who can't be trusted. She refuses to let Brooke hurt Bridget again, which is why she is adamant about telling Bridget the truth! Jackie says that Nick and Brooke are determined to make sure Bridget doesn't get hurt. Stephanie can't believe how people like Jackie or Eric think something like this can be swept under the rug. Jackie thinks Stephanie is only doing this to get back at Brooke. That's because Brooke, Stephanie states, like Jackie, has no morals and is never accountable for her actions. Jackie says this about Bridget and how it affects her life. It already has affected it, Stephanie argues. Bridget tested her mother and Nick, and she thought they passed. But they failed miserably, and Stephanie won't let them fail Bridget again.

Jackie says that Stephanie makes it sound like Brooke and Nick slept together. Stephanie thinks they did. When Jackie says they didn't, Stephanie predicts that they will, which will bring doom for that marriage. That's why she wants Bridget to find out now, when there is still time for her to leave Nick and move on to a healthier relationship. Jackie insists that her son is committed to Bridget. For how long? Stephanie asks. Jackie thinks they have to have faith in Nick and Bridget, since that's what marriage is about. It's also about trust, Stephanie says, and how can Bridget trust Nick when she's being lied to? That's why she has an obligation to tell Bridget. Jackie says that this isn't about concern for Bridget, it's about revenge against her and Brooke for turning Stephanie's family against her. She tells Stephanie to let Bridget make her own decisions. Stephanie says she will, but it will be an informed decision, since Bridget will see Brooke for just what she really is. Jackie admits that Brooke has made mistakes as a mother, but they have been out of love. She'd rather have her grandchild raised around someone like that than a bitter, hate-filled woman like Stephanie! With that said, Jackie leaves.

Brooke can't believe that Eric told Stephanie about the night on the boat.

At Forrester, Eric and Megan are frantically trying to find Bridget when Brooke arrives. Eric asks Brooke if she's seen Bridget. She just went to spend time with Nick, Brooke says. She asks if something is wrong. After Megan leaves, Eric tells Brooke that it's Stephanie, who is still out to cause trouble in Bridget's marriage. But Stephanie has nothing to back up her accusations, Brooke says. Unfortunately, Eric says, she does, because he made a big mistake. He wanted to prove to Stephanie that she [Brooke] and Nick had Bridget's best interests at heart, so Stephanie would stop stirring up trouble. He thought he could reason with her, so he told her about that night on the Marlin where Brooke and Nick confessed their love for each other. Brooke can't believe he did that. He admits the he sees now what a mistake it was to think that Stephanie would understand. Now, she's going to find Bridget and tell her, Eric laments. But she can't! Brooke says. She will, Eric says, unless they can find Bridget before Stephanie does.

Eric admits his huge mistake.

Eric asks Megan to try getting Bridget on the phone. He and Brooke then worry about what will happen if Stephanie finds Bridget first. They note how happy and secure Bridget is in her marriage: that will all change if Stephanie tells Bridget the truth, they realize. Eric fears that Stephanie is trying to make this into another situation like they had with Deacon. Brooke refuses to let that happen. She picks up the phone and calls Stephanie's cell phone. Stephanie looks at the display and thinks it's Eric, so she answers. Brooke warns her to stay away from Bridget. Stephanie says she would, except Brooke couldn't stay away from Nick. Brooke asks Stephanie where she is; Stephanie says she's on the boat, so Brooke hangs up and bolts out, leaving a confused Eric behind. As she drives to the Marlin, Brooke recalls her recent conversations with Stephanie. She says that she will not let Stephanie destroy Bridget's marriage.

Jackie rushes into Eric's office and tells him that she just came from the Marlin, where she ran into Stephanie. She frantically tells him that Stephanie is going to tell Bridget about the night that Nick and Brooke confessed their feelings for one another. Bridget wasn't there, so Stephanie is waiting for her. That must be where Brooke went, Eric guesses. Jackie hopes Brooke will have more luck with Stephanie than she did. Eric agrees, as he'd hate for Stephanie to be there when Bridget and Nick get home.

Nick has some gifts for his unborn child.

At Marone Industries, Nick plays with a green football he bought for the baby and recalls his talk with Brooke at Big Bear, where she told him to love his wife. Bridget stops by; he greets her with hugs and kisses and tells Andrea to hold his calls. She asks what's up; he tells her that he's on top of the world because of her and their baby. He takes out some things he bought for the baby: headphones to listen to the baby's heartbeat, a mobile and two outfits, one pink and one blue. For a boy and girl, Bridget guesses. Nick says he wanted to prepared, which is why he also bought something for his bride: he hands Bridget a box with a pink bra and garter belt set. Locking the door, Bridget says she's going to try the set on while she can still wear it. Nick predicts that she won't be wearing it for long today, either. They start kissing and soon are making love on the couch. She tells him how happy she is. She should be, he says, since he's committed to this baby 100%. She asks if he's just saying that to reassure her. He's saying it because it's true, he replies, and he doesn't intend to ever stop saying it. She says she'll never tell him to stop, even though she trusts him 100%. No matter how hard she tried to test him or push him away, he never gave up and they're still together. That's why nothing will ever make her doubt him again, not her and family and not Stephanie.

Stephanie has Bridget's bags packed and is about to carry them out and off the boat when Brooke arrives. Brooke grabs the bags from Stephanie and says she's not going anywhere.

Bridget tells Nick that they should face Stephanie together.

Outside, Bridget and Nick pull up and see Brooke and Stephanie's cars. Nick wonders if they're planning a baby shower in there. Bridget doubts it. Nick asks her if they're solid. Bridget says they are, but that doesn't mean she wants to argue with Stephanie. Nick tells her to wait for him at Chuck's while he deals with Stephanie, but she says they are in this together and will face Stephanie that way.
