Nick asks Brooke how she feels about Taylor's return.
Brooke is in Ridge's office at Forrester when Nick drops by. He tells her that Bridget said she'd be here. She says that she's heading home once she grabs some reports. That must be an interesting place, Nick quips. Brooke guesses that Bridget told him about Taylor and says that it's quite miraculous. For Ridge and the kids, Nick says. For anyone who knew and loved Taylor, Brooke adds. Nick says he heard that Taylor was well liked. She's a wonderful person and mother, Brooke says. Still, she thinks Taylor has a lot to adjust to, because life has moved on, even though Taylor feels like she's only been gone a short time. Nick asks what it's like for Ridge. He's thrilled for the kids, she replies. But what about their marriage? Nick asks. Brooke admits that there's a lot to work out, but she hopes he's not here to point out that her marriage may not be legal. Nick says he's just there to support her, reminding her of his promise to always look out for her. Even though she sometimes makes it hard, he wants her to know that there's someone who cares about her best interests. Brooke apologizes for snapping at him; it's just that it's a complex situation, and they really don't know how it will impact Taylor's children or her's. He guesses they'll be affected in some way.

Brooke says she'd hate to make Ridge choose between the two families, but if it comes to that, she's sure Ridge will make the right choice. Nick doesn't think there is a choice, since Ridge pledged his love to her. But he also did to Taylor, Brooke points out. Nick reminds her that she and Ridge have built a life and have a son who needs a father; he thinks that should be Ridge's priority. Taylor will have to accept it, Brooke says. Nick guesses that Ridge is in a no win situation. He asks how Stephanie has reacted, since Bridget told him that Taylor and Stephanie were close. Brooke isn't sure if Stephanie knows yet, but she knows that Stephanie thinks Taylor can do no wrong, The same, however, can't be said about her. Nick thinks Stephanie should be grateful to her for making Ridge happy and giving her a beautiful grandson, not to mention what she's done for Taylor's kids. If only that were true, Brooke says. Still, she hopes Stephanie will see how important it is for RJ to have both his parents. At the same time, she wants Taylor to always have a place in the family. Just not as Ridge's wife, Nick says. He thinks it's up to Ridge to make Taylor see that. Brooke is sure that Ridge will; it may be the ultimate challenge, but after all they've been through, she believes that her and Ridge's love will survive.

Ridge tells Bridget about his kids' reunion with Taylor.
At Ridge's house, Bridget finds Ridge upstairs and asks where Taylor is. She's downstairs with Stephanie, he replies. Bridget gives him a hug, thinking what it must be like for him and the kids. She recalls how it was here after they lost Taylor. Ridge agrees that it was painful, but now... Now he must be overjoyed, Bridget guesses, wondering why he's not down there. He says that he wanted to give his mother some time with Taylor. Bridget asks for details about Taylor being reunited with the kids: her mom told her some of it, but she wants to hear it from him. He'll never forget that moment, he says; after seeing Taylor with the kids, it was like all the trauma was reversed. Taylor even spent the night with them in the twins' room. Since Taylor was with the kids, Bridget guesses that Ridge got to spend some time with her mom and asks how that went.

Bridget asks Ridge how things went with her mom.
Ridge tells Bridget that her mom is happy for the kids. But it was a long day, so they didn't really get into it. Brooke went to bed, but he was so wound up that he went downstairs and stayed up all night. Bridget thinks her mom would have stayed up with him and reminds him of what he and her mom share. She hopes he knows that her mom would want to help him sort out his feelings. He hopes she's not accusing him of trying to shut Brooke out. She says she knows he loves her mom too much to do that, but with everything that's going on... He agrees that it's a lot to work out. And their life together means so much to her mom, Bridget reminds him. He knows, but he's sure they'll work it out. Ridge now, he can only think about his kids being with their mom, and seeing his mother holding her best friend again. He can't remember when he's been this happy. He deserves it, Bridget says, hugging him, just like they all do.

Taylor catches up with Stephanie.
Downstairs, Taylor looks at family photos and thinks about everything that's happened. She hugs Stephanie and thinks about how much they've been through together. Stephanie recalls her last moments with Taylor and thinks about the mistake they made, and the years they lost as a result. But it wasn't her fault, Taylor says, or anyone's for that matter. Stephanie still blames herself, but Taylor points out that Ridge knew it was her choice to be disconnected from the monitors, because of what she believed was inevitable. But it wasn't, Stephanie says. She asks Taylor if Omar has really accepted her decision to return to her family. Taylor says that it hurt Omar, but he saw that had to come back to her family, and that there was only room in her heart for one man. She starts to cry as she says that there's only one place that she really belongs, and that's right here. They talk some more; Stephanie agrees with the decision to take the twins out of boarding school now that Taylor's home. Taylor gushes about how wonderful and grown up the kids are. She's grateful to Stephanie for that, and to Brooke, too. Stephanie says that they tried, but they could never really replace her.

Stephanie tells Taylor that Ridge still loves her.
Taylor says that Ridge mentioned how Bridget helped him. Stephanie agrees that it was wonderful that Bridget stepped in. Taylor can't wait to see Bridget and think her, and to apologize for ruining her wedding. Stephanie doesn't think Bridget would need an apology and asks if she knows. Taylor is sure Brooke told her by now. And speaking of Brooke, Stephanie asks Taylor how she feels about Ridge remarrying. Taylor starts to cry, so Stephanie tells her to let it all out. She assures Taylor that Ridge loves her; she's his heart, his cornerstone, and he was lost without her. Taylor says that she knows Ridge needed to turn to Brooke, and she's grateful that Brooke helped him move on. But still, to see how everything has changed. The dynamics of the family may have changed, Stephanie says, but Ridge's feelings for Taylor haven't. And what really matters, after they thought they'd lost her, is that she's back in their lives. She admits that losing Taylor caused her to lose her faith in God, so having her back is a miraculous blessing. She missed Taylor's decency and faith, her integrity and strength; she respects and loves Taylor so much. Taylor says she loves her, too. Stephanie tells her not to leave ever again. Taylor says she won't.

Taylor and Stephanie hug. Ridge comes downstairs just in time to see the embrace and smiles.
