Omar tells Moustafa that Taylor's greatest challenge is still ahead.
At the cemetery, Prince Omar watches his henchmen seal Taylor's grave. One of the men - Omar calls him Moustafa, which was the name of one of Omar's henchmen in 1994 - tells Omar that she's gone, so they have to go. Perhaps for now, Omar sadly replies. But Laila was with him for years and will always be in his heart. He flashes back to the time she spent with him in Morocco. He says that he left her go once and she almost died, but he brought her back to life. Now, she will be reunited with Ridge and her children - but it may not be the homecoming she dreamed of. Even though she fought her way back from the dead, he fears her greatest challenge may be yet to come.

Eric and Thorne find the grave has been re-sealed.
Soon after, Eric, Stephanie and Thorne arrive, hoping to stop Ridge's defiling of Taylor's grave. They find the grave is sealed with fresh sod, so they fear that Ridge succeeded in digging up the grave and left. They wonder where he is. Thorne wonders if Ridge went home; Stephanie thinks he'd want to clear his head after what he saw, before he talked to the kids. But they don't know what he saw, Thorne points out, since Ridge made him and Nick leave before the casket was opened. Eric guesses that Ridge saw what he came to see, since he resealed the grave. He suggests they leave. Stephanie stops to contemplate Ridge's actions: she guesses he must really miss Taylor if he would do something this gruesome. But if anyone would understand why Ridge would do something like this, she thinks, it would be Taylor, and she'd probably even forgive him. She sighs in frustration at Ridge thinking he saw Taylor and his terrible actions tonight; she thinks that shows just how much Ridge loved, and still loves, Taylor.
At Ridge's house, Brooke comes down from the twins' room. Thomas asks if the girls are OK. She says that they're worried about their dad. He says that he is, too. Brooke assures him that Dr. Maclaine is taking good care of his dad. He wonders if Ridge will be home tomorrow; Brooke says she hopes so. "What if he's still talking about Mom being alive?" Thomas asks. He might be, Brooke says. Thomas hopes the girls don't find out that his dad thinks their mom's alive. If they find out, Brooke says, they'll explain that someone's playing a cruel joke on their dad and that they're getting to the bottom of it. Thomas guesses this must be hard on her, especially after everything she and his dad have been through recently. But no matter how hard it was, she always put him and his sisters first. Of course she did, Brooke says; even though she's only his stepmother and can never replace Taylor, he and his sisters are her family, and she loves them as much as she loves RJ and Hope. She hopes it's OK that she thinks of them as her own. Smiling, Thomas tells her it is and gives her a hug.

Brooke and Thomas get news of Ridge.
A phone call interrupts their hug; she hopes it's Ridge, so she's surprised to find that it's Mark, checking to see if Ridge got home OK. He was released? Brooke asks. Actually, Mark says, he just walked out. He tells her that he already spoke with Ridge's parents, who thought Ridge would be home. But he isn't, she says. Mark tells her not to worry, since Ridge's tests came back negative and he's not in any danger. But where is he? Brooke asks. Mark doesn't know, but he bets Ridge is on his way home. Brooke thanks him for letting her know and hangs up. Thomas asks what's wrong. She tells him that his dad left the hospital. Thomas senses that she's worried, but she says she isn't: after all, the doctors gave Ridge a clean bill of health, so she's sure he's on his way home right now. But what if something happened? Thomas asks. Brooke tells him not to worry: she knows Ridge can take care of himself, and he promised when he came back from Italy that nothing would keep him from his family ever again.

Stephanie has a warning for Brooke.
Later, Brooke looks out the window, remembering Ridge saying that Taylor's alive. She can only imagine what this is doing to him, since Taylor meant so much to him. She flashes back to a time right after Taylor died, where Ridge grew angry that he and Taylor wouldn't grow old together as they'd planned. In tears, she hugged him. Back in the present, she leaves a message for Ridge to call. Just then, Stephanie arrives, looking for Ridge. Brooke says he isn't here and wonders where he could be. Stephanie says that she knows where he's been and tells Brooke how Ridge went to the cemetery to dig up Taylor's grave and exhume her body. Brooke can't believe it. Stephanie says it's true. She doesn't know whether it's the concussion or the memory loss that's brought this all on, but whatever it is is obviously very traumatic for Ridge. She fears it's taking him over the edge, which is why she wants Brooke to be there for her husband. She stresses that they have to make Ridge come to terms with the fact that Taylor is dead... and the dead don't come back.

Taylor is glad to have her life back.
Meanwhile, Ridge takes Taylor to the beach house. Taylor looks around and says it's all the same. Ridge holds her; he still can't believe this is happening, after all the times he prayed for this. He doesn't want to let her go. She assures him that this is real and tells him not to let go. Never, he says. They kiss. She tells him how she wanted this forever, even when Omar held her. She fought to get back to this. She asks him to hold her tighter; he does, telling her that she's safe at home now. He won't let go of her, for fear that she'll disappear. But he won't let that happen now that she's back, like an angel from above. She says that she saw him at the wedding. She saw the kids, too, all grown up. She missed so much, but now she has it back... she has HIM back. She does, he says, kissing her again. They both feel like they've won the lottery in every state. Ridge looks skyward and thanks God for this miracle. He tells her how beautiful she is and goes on about how her strength and love kept him going all these years. But he has to say, as he picks her up, that there's nothing like the real thing. They kiss again.
Taylor laughs that he hasn't changed at all. He quips that he has a few more gray hairs. She thinks he looks distinguished. And she has a few blonde ones, he says. She says she wanted to look pretty for him and the kids. She can't wait to see them. She will, he promises, and she'll have the rest of her life with them. She asks him to tell her everything. he tells her how hard it was for the kids, not having their mother. They never stopped missing her, and he thinks she has no idea what it will do to the kids to have her back. They all love her so much, he says - and HE loves her so much. Se says she loves him and always will. They kiss passionately again.

Ridge tells Taylor how relieved he is.
Ridge tells Taylor how incredible this feeling of relief and joy is. He never thought he'd feel this way ever again. He never stopped loving her, not even for a single minute. She asks if he was angry with her, since that's a natural part of the grieving process. Never, he says. She says she was. With Omar? he asks. With life, she replies. She was in a coma, and she felt death reaching for her, but she fought it off. And when she finally woke up, she had to keep fighting, to regain her strength so she could get home to him and the children. She never gave up, because she knew he'd never give up on her. Ridge looks guilty, but Taylor doesn't notice. She says that all they've lost is time, so they can pick up where the left off. She kisses him again, this time kissing his face and his hands. She then sees his wedding band; she thinks it's sweet that he's still wearing their ring. Ridge doesn't tell her the truth; instead, he holds her close, and we see his worried face over her shoulder.
