Stephanie realizes what the loss of Taylor meant to Ridge.
In Ridge's bedroom, Ridge and Stephanie discuss Taylor's return. They go on about how little Taylor has changed in the time she's been away. Stephanie says she didn't realize how much they'd lost without Taylor. She told Taylor that she lost her faith when they thought Taylor died; she was angry that God would take someone so decent from her family. But now, having her back, that faith has been restored. They agree that they've all been given an amazing gift. Stephanie apologizes for thinking he was crazy; she thinks about his behavior over the last year - fighting with Thorne and Eric, what happened with Bridget - and wishes she had seen then that he was still grieving, because he no longer had Taylor to stabilize his life. He agrees that Taylor's been an amazingly positive influence in his life. Taylor grounded him, Stephanie says, and she did effortlessly. And with that integrity and stability back in their lives, they can go back to life as it used to be, and the whole family can heal.

Ridge tells his mother that he's aware of the issues around Taylor's return.
Stephanie asks how Brooke is handling this. Brooke was shocked, Ridge says, like they all were, but she's happy for Taylor and the kids. Stephanie admits that Brooke was wonderful with the kids, but she can see how much Brooke's world will change now that Taylor's back. Ridge says that no decisions have been made; he doesn't want to turn this blessing into a tragedy. Stephanie doesn't want that, either, but she has to remind him that he has two women under the same roof, each of whom thinks she's his wife. She knows he didn't plan it, but things need to settled. And even though Hope and RJ are too young to understand, Thomas and the twins are watching everything he does, so he can't afford to make a mistake. Ridge says he's aware of the issues. But is he aware of how painful it must be for Taylor to know that he remarried? she asks. It's difficult, he admits, for Taylor and for all of them. She thinks Taylor will get past this marriage if he doesn't do anything foolish, which is why she's warning him not to let his guard down. She knows how sexy Brooke can be and doesn't want to see that ruin the opportunity he's been given. She advises that he has an amazing opportunity to reunite his family, so he should be smart and grab it.

Bridget finally gets to see Taylor.
Downstairs, Bridget finally gets to see Taylor face to face. Taylor thanks Bridget for everything she did for Ridge and the kids while she was away. Ridge told her how Bridget helped them cope with their loss. Those were hard times for Ridge and the kids, Bridget recalls. Taylor says that's over now that she's back. Bridget admits that she often thought about what Taylor would be doing if she was there, and that's when she missed Taylor the most. She thought about how Taylor was such a giving person, trying to save the world one person at a time, and that inspired her to study medicine. Taylor thinks she'll make a wonderful doctor. Bridget doesn't know if she can be as talented as Taylor, but she wants to help people. Taylor offers any help Bridget needs. Just being back is help enough, Bridget says. She thinks the story of Taylor's "return from the dead" could inspire any patient in a hopeless situation and goes on about how amazing it is to have her back. Taylor hugs her and apologizes for ruining Bridget's wedding. Bridget says she just made them postpone it; she feels blessed to just know that Taylor was there. Taylor says that Nick sounds like quite an adventuresome guy. He's been all over the world and seen so many things, Bridget gushes, giggling. And now he wants Bridget to join him in life's adventures, Taylor says. He does, Bridget says, hugging Taylor and telling her again how good it is to have her back.

Brooke comes in; Taylor sees her and praises her for raising an amazing daughter. Brooke agrees that Bridget's becoming her own woman. Bridget asks her mom where she's been. At the office, Brooke says. Bridget offers to help Brooke, who says she doesn't need anything. Besides, she thinks Bridget should be with Nick now. Bridget agrees, especially since Nick still thinks of this time as their "honeymoon," so she hugs her mom and Taylor and leaves. Once she's gone, Taylor tells Brooke that Bridget's grown into a beautiful young woman. She sees how happy Nick's made Bridget. He has, Brooke agrees. Taylor offers to leave, but Brooke wants to talk to her first. She stopped by the real estate office and picked up some brochures she wants to share with Taylor. Brooke shows her one that Taylor thinks is beautiful. It has a pool, and it's close by, which means it will be close to the children. Taylor's glad to see that they're on the same page; she knows how difficult her return has been for Brooke, so she appreciates how gracious Brooke has been. She also knows how Brooke has come to think of this house as her home, and that's why she wants Brooke to take all the time she needs to find her new home. Taylor hands Brooke back the brochure; shocked, Brooke says she was thinking that Taylor would be the one finding a new home!

Hope shows Brooke a drawing she made of their family.
Taylor asks if Ridge knows about this. Brooke says they haven't had time to talk about it, but she assumed... She knows that the twins are coming home from school, and she wanted an arrangement that would be best for the children. Taylor appreciates the gesture but thinks that Ridge should be part of this discussion. Just then, Hope comes down. Taylor guesses this is Hope and walks over with Brooke. Hope shows Brooke a drawing she made of Ridge, Brooke and herself; Brooke says that it's perfect. Taylor listens as Hope asks where "Daddy" is? He's not home yet, Brooke says, but she'll make sure he sees this when he gets here. Brooke then sends Hope to find Catherine for her bath and promises that Daddy will give her a big kiss when he gets here. Hope leaves; Brooke says she likes to draw, and Ridge has been helping her. Taylor asks to see the picture; Brooke hands it to her, and she sees from it how much Hope cares about Ridge. And that's why she's asking Taylor to move out, Brooke explains, because Hope and RJ need to be with their father.

Brooke makes an appeal to Taylor.
Brooke says she understands how hard this has been for Taylor, to come back and see how much time has passed. She knows Thomas and the girls are thrilled to have their mother back. Taylor admits that her kids have grown up, and she sees how much Ridge loves RJ and Hope. Ridge is their father, Broke says, which is why this is unfair. It is unfair, Taylor agrees, to all of them, which is why they have to deal with this. Brooke says that she doesn't want to push Taylor out of anyone's life. However, she thinks Taylor needs to understand that this is her family now. And Ridge is Brooke's husband, Taylor adds. Yes, Brooke says. She points out how Taylor's kids are grown, and Thomas will be off to college soon. But Hope and RJ are young and need their father, and she thinks Taylor, as a psychiatrist, should understand that and respect that she and Ridge have a family. Taylor says she does respect that, but she really thinks Ridge should be there. Ridge is confused, Brooke says, and is loyal to everybody. That's why she's asking Taylor to spare everyone this torment. Everyone but herself, Taylor says. Brooke hates to put her in this position, but she's appealing to Taylor not to rob Hope and RJ of their father.
