Phoebe and Steffy get close to their mom again.
Brooke watches from the doorway of the twins' bedroom as Taylor reunites with her family. Taylor and the girls sit at the head of one of the beds, while Ridge and Thomas sit at the foot. They're all laughing and smiling. Ridge says he never thought he'd feel this way again. He thought a part of him was lost forever. Hearing that unnerves Brooke, who turns and walks away. Taylor tells Ridge that the part of him was never lost and never will be. Phoebe and Steffy fight to get close to their mom. Taylor tells them to stop, as there's plenty of room for a big family hug for everyone. She pulls Thomas and the twins to her, and Ridge joins in, too. Thomas asks his mom what happened when they thought she'd died. She explains that she was in a coma, with no way of knowing if or when she would come out of it. Eventually, she did, and she fought to get back to her family. Even though she knows it makes no sense, she could hear their prayers, and that kept her going when she felt like giving up. Phoebe says she always felt like they were still connected. She heard her mother, too, everywhere except at the cemetery.

Ridge and Thomas are glad to have Taylor back.
Thomas tells Taylor that everyone thought Ridge had lost it when he said he saw her at the wedding. He can't wait to see his Grandma's face when she finds out his dad was right. Everyone laughs but Steffy, who doesn't think it's funny. Ridge says they're all just happy. Steffy says she is, too, but she's crying. Ridge tells her to cry if she feels like it, since they've all been holding back tears for a long time. Steffy says this is the happiest day of his life. Ridge says it's the happiest day for this family's life, and he doesn't want it to end.

Bridget asks her mother what's happening with Taylor and her kids.
Brooke returns to her bedroom, where Bridget asks what happened. Brooke tells her that they're all snuggled on the bed together, like you'd expect after seeing someone they thought was gone, but isn't. She says she's happy for them, but she doesn't look very convincing. Bridget asks if she should go in there; she doesn't want to intrude, but... Brooke suggests that she give them some more time to be with Taylor, who's been gone so long. She thinks the kids deserve to be happy after all they've been through, and Taylor has suffered, too. But not like the kids, Bridget says; she points out that someone coming out of a coma like Taylor did probably only feels like she's been gone for a few months and has little idea of how much has changed. Brooke says that Taylor will always have her family and will always be welcome here. But Ridge is her husband now, and Taylor will have to learn to accept that. Bridget says that Taylor will need time to sort things out. She thinks Taylor knows in her head that she's been gone for years, but instinctively, she probably feels like this is still her home. Before Brooke can say anything, she hears R.J. crying on the baby monitor. Bridget leaves while Brooke goes to check on R.J.

Stephanie asks for Nick's help.
Nick boards the Shady Marlin and finds an angry Stephanie waiting for him. She's shocked and furious that he helped Ridge dig up Taylor's grave. He says that Ridge would have done it on his own, anyway. He hoped that helping Ridge would bring Ridge to his senses. Obviously, it didn't, Stephanie says: in fact, she's been concerned about her son since he returned from Italy, and she fears that he's having a nervous breakdown. At first, she thought it was from the concussions, but now she fears that he's dealing with unresolved feelings about Taylor's death. Nick says that she'd know better than him. He wonders if Ridge couldn't deal with his own grief after being there for his kids. Whatever the reason, Stephanie says, Ridge is in a fragile state of mind and needs help from everyone who cares about him, including Nick. Nick says he's there for his brother; Stephanie's glad to hear that, since she thinks they need to hospitalize Ridge! She's spoken to James Warwick, a psychiatrist and friend of the family who can help get Ridge into an institution where he'd get the help he needs. Nick asks if Ridge really needs a psychiatric hospital. Stephanie knows it will be hard on Brooke and the kids, especially since Ridge just got back; that's why she hopes Nick will be there for Brooke and the kids, as he's been in the past. Nick says he will.

Nick is surprised by Bridget's news.
Later, Nick is smoking a cigar above deck when Bridget comes aboard. She asks what's wrong, so he tells her about his visit from Stephanie and her plans to institutionalize Ridge. Bridget says that won't be necessary, but Nick thinks Ridge must have a screw loose somewhere if he dug up his dead wife's grave and keeps seeing his late wife everywhere. Bridget agrees that Ridge IS seeing things, but he's not making them up. Nick asks what she means. She tells him that Ridge was right: Taylor IS alive, and is with Ridge and their kids right now. She saw it for herself, so she knows it's true: Taylor's alive!

Taylor gets a shock when Brooke brings R.J. in.
Back at Ridge's house, Taylor marvels at how much her children have grown and how much she's missed. Ridge tells her about all the times he went to an art show or a tennis match that one of the kids was involved in. He was always so proud of them and would always look to his side, to share a smile with her, only to find that she wasn't there. That feeling would never go away, no matter how hard he tried. He tried to be both parents to the kids but had a hard time just being one. The kids tell him he did great. But it wasn't like having mommy there, he says. Taylor tells him that he did a wonderful job pulling their family through. She can see that just looking at their kids. But now she's home, so he doesn't have to go it alone anymore. She doesn't know how yet, but she promises to spend as much time as she has to with them to make up for the time she was gone, so it will be like she was never gone at all. Just then, she hears a baby crying and asks who that was. It's R.J., Phoebe says. Taylor's confused. Ridge tells her that there's something he should have told her earlier; before he can explain, Brooke, holding R.J., knocks at the door and asks if she can come in. Of course, Taylor says, asking who this sweet baby is.

Brooke is surprised that Ridge didn't tell Taylor and says that this is Ridge's and her son. A stunned Taylor looks to Ridge, who looks a bit ashamed.
