Thomas and Bridget chat by the Forrester pool. Thomas can't wait until he, his sisters and his parents can hang out again as a family, like they used to, just to watch a movie or play a game. Bridget is sure her mom will be accommodating. Thomas says he means after Brooke moves out. Bridget tells him not to get ahead of himself; she reminds him that their mothers and his dad have a complicated situation ahead of them, and the decisions they'll have to make won't be easy. She looks at Hope, who is playing nearby. Hope runs over and asks Thomas where Daddy is. Gaby comes over and tells Hope that Daddy is busy, so she asks Hope to take a swim with her. Hope, however, runs off. Thomas offers to go get her, but Gaby says she'll do it and goes off to find the little girl.

Hope runs in to find Ridge.
Inside, Taylor kisses Ridge and tells him that she wants him back. Hope comes in and asks Daddy what he's doing. Gaby follows and apologizes for letting Hope run off. Ridge tells her it's OK and picks Hope up, sitting her on his lap. He points out what a determined little girl Hope is. Just like Mommy, Hope says. That's right, Ridge says, but right now he needs her to go with Gaby. Gaby starts to lead Hope back to the pool, but Taylor says it's OK if Hope stays. She asks Hope if she'd like that; Hope nods yes, so Gaby goes to get Hope's video player. Soon after, Hope sits with her headphones on while Ridge apologizes to Taylor for the interruption. Taylor says there's no need, as Hope and RJ deserve the same chance to express their opinions as Thomas had. She thinks Hope senses him pulling away, so she doesn't want to leave him. Ridge says he would never hurt Hope. He's finally been able to give her a Daddy she can count on. She always says, "I love you, daddy!" when he kisses her goodbye; how does he keep giving her that sense of security and unconditional love, especially when his own heart is being torn in half?

Taylor offers some advice.
Taylor tells Ridge that she sees he loves Hope and RJ as much as their children, and she feels bad that she's the reason. At the same time, she wants her husband back. Ridge says he doesn't want to let anyone down; she says he never would do that. He says he did, right after they thought she died. He felt like he let everyone down, and he wondered what he could have been doing to save her. Taylor says that the kids would never be angry at him, because they love him. But now, he fears, he has to hurt someone, either their kids or Hope and RJ. He knows he committed to her, but he also did to Brooke, and they have a child. He did what he had to, Taylor says, and she understands. But still, she can't help wanting to be with him. Ridge asks for her help, as he doesn't know what to do. She takes his hand and tells him that they will get through this. If he wants to do what's best for everyone, she advises, he has to listen to his heart; it will show what's best for him and lead him home.

Thomas wants to know how Bridget feels about the situation with his dad.
Out by the pool, Thomas asks Bridget how she feels about things with his dad. He thinks they should be able to talk about this. Bridget agrees, but she also thinks that it's up to their moms and Ridge to decide what they want, and for them to support that. But they can't go on with everyone living in separate rooms, Thomas says. Bridget agrees, but she suggests that her mom might not be the one leaving. She knows this was Taylor's home first, but her mom and Ridge share a son and have built a family together, one that also includes Hope. Thomas reminds her how much he and the twins have missed out on with their mom. And Taylor will always be part of their lives, Bridget says. However, she also sees that he and his sisters are fully grown. But they need their mom back with their dad after all the years they've been apart, Thomas says.

Bridget reminds Thomas about Hope and RJ.
Bridget points out that Hope and RJ need a father, too, something she knows about having grown up without her dad around all the time. Thomas sees her point, but he still can't help but consider what his mom went through fighting to get back to her family. And his mom loves his dad, he adds. But so does her mom, Bridget reminds him. That's what makes this so hard, Thomas says. Bridget agrees that no one deserves to lose. Gaby comes back and tells them that Hope didn't want to leave Ridge and is still there with him and Taylor. As Gaby walks away, Bridget says that Hope senses something going on. Thomas doesn't want Hope to get hurt. Bridget says she knows that, and she doesn't want him or the twins to be hurt, either. But unless they can clone his dad, Thomas points out, there's no answer.

Brooke is stunned at Stephanie's suggestion.
At Ridge's house, Brooke still can't believe what Stephanie is saying. Stephanie says that the days of Brooke crying for forgiveness are over. She's pleased that Taylor has broken Brooke's hold on Ridge. Brooke recalls all the support Stephanie gave her when Ridge was missing: she can't believe Stephanie would be so cruel to say those things and not mean them. Stephanie feels that she did what she had to. She accuses Brooke of sleeping her way through this town, just to make herself feel better; she's glad those days are over. Brooke points out that she and Ridge share a son, and she suggests that it's their destiny to be together. Real destiny, Stephanie argues, is what brought Taylor back to them, so Brooke can take HER destiny and stuff it! Brooke can't believe Stephanie wants to hurt her so badly. She points out that RJ was conceived in love. He does complicate things, Stephanie concedes. She agrees that RJ needs a stable home, and she admits that there was a time that she believed Brooke could give that. But now, after seeing Brooke use her children for her own ends time and again, she can't even believe that, so she thinks Brooke should step aside and let Ridge and Taylor raise RJ! Brooke is stunned.

Stephanie says Brooke would be doing herself a favor. She claims that Rick and Bridget practically raised themselves while Brooke lived a scandal filled life in the gutter, so giving up RJ would let her keep doing that. Brooke asks if she should give up Hope, too. But Hope isn't part of this family, Stephanie says, since she's Deacon's child. Brooke can't stand to listen to any more of Stephanie's talk about morality. At least she's not a tart who's incapable of love, Stephanie counters. Brooke says that Stephanie is the one who doesn't know what love is: if she did, she'd admit how strong Ridge's marriage to her is. She can't believe that she ever trusted Stephanie and insists that she's never leaving this house! She thinks about Stephanie bringing up her mistakes and suggests that Stephanie take a good look in the mirror and see her own. She insists that Ridge loves her. But decisions will have to be made, Stephanie says, and she's confident that Ridge will choose Taylor, a woman who would never betray him.

Stephanie tells Brooke that she can never compare herself to Taylor.
Brooke finds it ironic that Stephanie could walk in here, wearing a cross around her neck and spouting off about morality, just to manipulate and control others. Stephanie thinks that Brooke is the manipulative one, but she uses her sexuality to do it. Brooke wonders why Stephanie feels the need to push her down. She admits she may have loved too much, but she can't see the morality in asking a mother to give up her child, especially when she would never turn her back on her children, or her husband. But she's done that, Stephanie says, over and over. Brooke tells Stephanie to go ahead and spread her poison; it's what everyone expects anyway. But that doesn't change how Ridge feels about her. Ridge only married her because Taylor was dead, Stephanie claims. Brooke says that Ridge is her husband, and RJ is their son. She won't let the words of an angry old bitch control their lives, She opens the front door and says that she won't let Stephanie kick her out or take her children's father from them. Stephanie leaves, looking pleased, while Brooke angrily slams the door shut behind her.
