Nick tells Massimo about Taylor.
Nick and Bridget ask Massimo and Jackie over to The Shady Marlin to tell them about Taylor. When they tell them the news, Mass is stunned and thrilled. On the one hand, he thinks about all the pain that Ridge and the kids went through when they lost Taylor. At the same time, he thinks this is a reason to celebrate, especially when he learns that Taylor and her kids have been happily reunited! Nick offers some warm beer, since his refrigerator is broken. Even that will taste like fine wine at a time like this, Massimo gushes, because Taylor is alive! But then it hits him: what does this mean to Brooke? Bridget tells them that she and Nick have wondered the same thing, as has her mom. Massimo guesses that his older son will be in quite a quandary having two wives.

Bridget sets Jackie straight.
Jackie, who has been quiet until now, asks if this means Ridge and Taylor are still married. Passing the warm beer around, Nick says that's a good question. Massimo offers to call his attorneys, but Bridget thinks it's too early to make any major decisions. Jackie asks when she can meet "Dr. Forrester." Bridget says that Taylor is catching up with the immediate family right now, but there will be plenty of time for Jackie to meet her once she and Nick reschedule the wedding. Mass proposes a toast to Taylor's return; they all join in. Nick offers his pop a cigar, but Jackie tells the men to take those above deck. The men take their cigars up top; that leaves Bridget alone with Jackie, who thinks this is quite a turn of events. Not like she thinks, Bridget says; she guesses that Jackie's already thinking that Ridge being married to Taylor frees up her mom for Nick. Jackie asks Bridget why that would make a difference if Nick is committed to her. Bridget's glad Jackie sees that. She knows Taylor's return raises lots of issues, but she doesn't think it will break up her mom and Ridge.

Jackie tells Nick to be honest with himself.
After Massimo and Bridget leave, Jackie joins Nick on deck. Nick sees the look on her face and thinks she has something on her mind. She tells him that she said it was an omen. What was? he asks. The scream that interrupted his wedding, she says: that was Taylor, calling for help, crying out for him to stop the wedding. Nick can't believe she's doing this again. He asks if she really believes that. She believes things happen for a reason, she says - and Taylor showing up kept him available. But he's not, he insists: even though they didn't get to make it legal yet, Bridget is already his wife in his mind. Maybe in his head, she suggests, but what about in his heart? She begs him to be honest with himself about his feelings and not to walk away from the opportunity he's been given. Nick says that he's heard what she has to say, but it doesn't change anything. He turns to face her, but she's gone. He calls out into the night for his mother and repeats to himself, "it doesn't change anything!"

Taylor tries to explain how things are to Thomas.
Thomas comes home and finds Taylor downstairs. He gives her a hug and asks where his dad is. She says he was here, but he was gone when she came back from tucking the twins in. Thomas asks where Ridge went. Taylor says that he's upstairs with Brooke. Thomas guesses that his dad is saying goodnight to Brooke. When Taylor doesn't answer, Thomas sees the look on her face and guesses what she's thinking. He says his dad wouldn't do that and guesses that Ridge is talking with Brooke, laying the groundwork to ask her to leave. After all, Brooke's been good to them, so Ridge would want to let her down easy. Taylor doesn't think Ridge is asking Brooke to leave. But he has to, Thomas says; she and Brooke can't both stay here. That's for sure, Taylor says. Thomas senses from her tone that she's thinking about leaving and tells her to forget it: she's not leaving this house ever again! This is her home, and his dad and Brooke both know that. Taylor says that she's not sure that Brooke does. Then someone will have to tell her, Thomas says. Taylor reminds him that R.J. and Hope would go if Brooke leaves. He says that his dad would share custody of R.J., and Hope can visit any time she wants. Taylor says there are a lot of issues to discuss. Thomas asks what she's saying: doesn't she want to be here? Of course she does, she says, but right now, she thinks he should go to bed. She says she loves him and watches him go upstairs.

Ridge tries to explain himself to Brooke.
In the master bedroom, Ridge and Brooke are still kissing. Ridge tells her that he wants to be there for her, but.. But he wants to be sensitive to Taylor, she guesses. She says that she's asking him to be sensitive to her, and how her whole world changed in a single day. She doesn't feel safe anymore and she needs him to help her feel that way again. She wants him to know that she's thankful that Taylor is back in his and the kids' lives, and she's trying to be supportive. But she needs support, too, he guesses. She needs him, she says, kissing him again. It's just that she's so in love with him, and their family means everything to her. He says he feels the same way. Does he? she asks. She reminds him of everything they fought for and doesn't want to see it change. Ridge tells her not to get ahead of herself. She says that he always tells her that when things look like they're going wrong, and then he kisses her and tells her he loves her. He says he does love her and starts to kiss her, but they're interrupted by a knock at the door.

Thomas thanks Brooke for all she's done for his family.
Brooke tells Ridge not to answer, but Thomas calls out to his dad that he needs to talk to him. Ridge stops kissing Brooke and lets Thomas in. Thomas asks if this is a bad time; Brooke says they always have time for him and offers to leave them alone to talk;t Thomas tells her to stay, as this is about his mother and her. He knows this is a tough subject, so he wants them to hear him out before they make a decision. About what? Ridge asks. About who gets to stay and who goes, Thomas says. After all, they all can't live here like this. No, Ridge says, they can't. Brooke asks Thomas how he'd like things to end up. Thomas wishes everyone could be happy, which is why this is so unfair. His mom means a lot to him, but so does Brooke. He remembers the program Brooke made for the Portofino Challenge, dedicated to his mother. He started loving her then, and he hasn't stopped since. She made a difference in their lives; he helped him and his sisters feel less lonely after they lost their mother, and then she brought Hope and R.J. into their home. They started to feel like a family again, which is why he hopes he can always think of her as his mom, too, even though his real mom is back.

Brooke is stunned by what Thomas says.
Brooke hugs Thomas and says that she's moved; she can't think of anything she'd like better. She thanks him. Thomas assures her that his sisters feel the same way. Ridge agrees; he recalls the weight he felt lifted off his shoulders when he was able to give the girls a father and a mother again. Thomas tells Brooke that there's another reason he's grateful to her: because of the way she helped his dad heal when he was dying inside over the loss of his mom. She healed his dad's broken heart... she healed them all, and there's no way he can ever thank her for that. She says he just did, but he thinks it's not enough. He thinks back to when he and his sisters even proposed to Brooke to be part of their family. That's what makes this so hard, because... Because what? Brooke asks. Because his mom is back, he says, and he and his sisters need her. They have a chance to be family again, which is why he's really sorry. As much as he loves Brooke... as much as they all love her, she needs to leave.

Brooke gasps, completely stunned and floored by what Thomas just said.
