Jackie's convinced there was a reason Nick's wedding was interrupted.
Jackie stops by the Shady Marlin to see how Nick is doing. He says he's doing better than Forrester is. Jackie tells him that Massimo is trying to find out who ruined his wedding by putting Ridge in the hospital. He says it's just a temporary glitch. So he's going to pick up where he left off? she asks. He asks why he wouldn't. Because he's a sailor and should recognize an omen when he sees one, she says. Nick asks what kind of omen. That he's marrying the wrong woman, Jackie replies. Nick doesn't even want to hear this and threatens to throw his mom overboard, which tells Jackie that she hit a nerve. Nick insists that he loves Bridget and wants to spend the rest of his life with her, but Jackie reminds him that he said the same thing about Bridget's mother not too long ago. Nick tells his mom to stop, but she wonders why he's in such a rush. Is he running away from something? Actually, he says, he's running TO something. Just then, Bridget comes on board, just in time to hear Jackie ask Nick if he's really sure he wants to marry this girl.

Bridget and Nick tell Jackie how they feel about each other.
Nick looks over to Bridget coming down the steps. Jackie turns and realizes that Bridget overheard. She says she's sorry; Bridget says she isn't, since she knows how Jackie feels now. Jackie tries to explain; she thinks Bridget's a lovely woman who will make some man happy someday, but Nick will never have a relationship like the one he shared with Brooke. Nick tells his mom that she's wrong and tells Bridget not to pay attention to this. Bridget says she isn't, since she and Nick have already discussed this. She even heard him tell her mother how he feels, so she knows his feelings for Brooke are in the past. That's what she and Nick want to believe, Jackie says. Nick begs his mom not to do this. Jackie says she doesn't want to hurt him. She just wants to save them some heartache. But that's not her place, Bridget tells Jackie. Bridget and Nick agree that this is their decision. Nick says nothing can change how he and Bridget feel about each other. Jackie still doesn't believe it, but Bridget is sure that the commitment she and Nick share is as strong as her mom and Ridge's, and not even Jackie can change that.

Thomas worries that he's forgetting things about his mother.
At the Forrester mansion, Stephanie talks to Thomas, who's glad Eric got his sisters laughing again. Stephanie tells him to stop worrying about his dad; it might take some therapy, but she's sure Ridge will see in time that he didn't see Taylor. But his dad won't stop missing his mom, Tom guesses. No, he won't, Stephanie agrees. Tom wonders if that means they'll keep going through stuff like this; maybe, Stephanie says, seeing how hard this is on her grandson. Thomas says it's just that he and his dad both miss his mom so much. Stephanie advises him to cherish his memories of his mother, since she's found that helps keep a departed loved one close. Thomas says he wants to, but he's starting to forget things. He thinks about how he recently tried to tell Hope a bedtime story his mom used to tell him every night, but he couldn't remember past the first few lines. Crying, he wishes he had written it down.

Stephanie tries to reassure Thomas.
Stephanie tells Tom that life doesn't work that way. The worst part, Tom says, is that he's forgotten what his mom's voice sounds like and needs a tape to remind him. Stephanie says she remembers Taylor's voice, the most caring voice she's ever heard. She asks Tom is he remembers what it was like when his mom held him when he was little. It was like heaven, he says. He looks at a photo of Taylor and comments how pretty she was. Stephanie agrees that Taylor was beautiful. Even at the end, Tom recalls, in the hospital, when she was sick, they never thought she'd... When he and his sisters left that last time, they never thought it would be the last time they'd see their mother alive. He regrets that they never got to say goodbye. Stephanie assures him that his mom knew that he loved her. But he wanted to tell her, Tom says, crying. He wishes he had another chance to do that.

Ridge tries to get Brooke to accept that Taylor is alive.
At Ridge's house, Brooke stares at Taylor, standing in the doorway. Ridge comes up behind Brooke and tells her not to be scared. He assures her that this is real, but Brooke can't believe it and slams the door shut! Ridge tells her to relax; he knows how shocking this must be. Unable to catch her breath, Brooke says this can't be happening, as Taylor is dead! Ridge tells her to calm down and trust him; he promises everything will be all right. Brooke still looks hesitant as Ridge walks toward the door. As Ridge slowly turns the knob, Brooke has her back turned to the door. When Taylor calls out her name, Brooke slowly turns to the door and realizes that it really is Taylor. Taylor comes in and confirms that it's really her - causing Brooke to faint!

Ridge runs to Brooke's side and puts her on the couch. He holds a cloth to her head and talks to her as she starts to come out of it. Taylor tells Brooke she's sorry; she didn't mean to frighten her. She puts her hand on Brooke's, and Brooke realizes that this IS real. Taylor's back and is... She's home, Taylor says. Ridge agrees that there's a lot to explain, but he's not sure how to explain a miracle. And that's what this feels like, Taylor agrees. Ridge tells Brooke how Taylor was just in a coma and didn't die. Taylor admits it seems surreal and bets that Brooke has a million questions. She explains how she thought about just one thing since coming out of her coma, and that was getting back to her family. Crying, she says her heart ached so much for them and still does, so she pleads with Ridge to let her see her children now.

Taylor is grateful for her second chance.
Ridge says he knows how anxious she is, but the kids aren't here. He and Brooke explain how Brooke found out that he had been to the grave site; Brooke was worried about what mental state he'd return home in, so she sent the kids to Eric and Stephanie. Taylor sees that Brooke was protecting the kids. Like they were her own, Brooke says. Taylor says that Ridge told her how Brooke was a mother to the kids when their own mom couldn't be, and she can't tell Brooke how grateful she is for that. She gives Brooke a big hug. Brooke still looks a bit shocked. As Taylor looks around, Ridge stands with Brooke. He tells Brooke that she'll be OK once she adjusts to this. Brooke wonders how the kids will take seeing their mother, alive. Ridge says he knows. He looks at Taylor, walking around the living room, looking at everything. He walks over and asks how it feels. Putting down a photo of Thomas, she says it feels like home. She still can't believe she's back here, where she has so many memories of their family, and she feels so lucky to have a second chance at life with them. Ridge hugs her and tells her that she's home to stay. Taylor smiles as he hugs her, while Brooke stands off to the side and watches.
