Ridge takes some time to talk with Taylor.
At the Forrester mansion, Taylor is pleasantly surprised to see Ridge, who has brought Hope by after pre-school. Taylor asks where Hope is; Ridge says that Gaby took her to find the kids and asks if they're by the pool. She says they're by the tennis courts, where Eric just brought them some sandwiches she made. She suggests they join the kids, but he'd rather use the time alone to talk with her. They both go on about how amazing it is to have her back. Taylor doesn't want this moment to end. Ridge says it doesn't have to, as he's sure they can work things out. Taylor believes him, but she can't help but be reminded by being here how much some things have stayed the same, while others have changed. Ridge says one thing will never change: his love for her.

Taylor tells Ridge that she needs him.
Ridge sees that Taylor has some photo albums out and asks about them; she says that she's been using them to get caught up and breaks one open. Ridge joins her and smiles when he sees a photo of the two of them in St. Thomas, where he proposed to her. He flashes back to that proposal, on the beach; he told her that he loved her and wanted her, more than any other woman, and she agreed to be his wife. Back in the present, Ridge says that he's glad she said yes. Like she wouldn't have, she laughs, especially after the hard time she gave him. They then find a photo of their first wedding, at Pepperdine University, and they remember that day. Taylor says it was the happiest day of her life, and thinking about it just reminds her how much she's lost. She hesitates, saying that she promised she wouldn't do this, but she can't help it. She needs him so much, so she can't keep hanging on like this. She wants him to talk to Brooke, so she can be together with him again in their home, with their children. She needs her life back. She wants to hold him, to make love to him, so her heart is aching from being apart from him. She wants them to be together again. She starts kissing him as she says, "I want you" and "I need you" over and over.

Eric tells Bridget about Stephanie's true motives.
Down by the pool, Bridget drops by to see Eric, who asks if she saw the kids by the tennis court. She says she did, and they asked her to hang out, but she left them feeding their faces and listening to Hope's knock-knock jokes. Eric is surprised that Hope's here and guesses Ridge wanted to spend more time with Taylor. He then apologizes, realizing that his guess struck a chord with Bridget. She says it's OK; she's glad to have Taylor back. But not at her mother's expense, he guesses. She tells him that Ridge is the love of her mom's life and they've overcome so much, so it's hard to see them apart and in separate bedrooms. Eric points out that Ridge doesn't want to hurt Brooke or Taylor. Bridget knows that, and she knows that someone has to leave. But as much as she respects Taylor, she thinks Ridge should stay with her mom - and in fact, she's here to get his and Stephanie's help in making that happen. Eric doesn't think Stephanie will be much help; Bridget wonders why not, so he tells her that Stephanie, against his wishes, is interfering in their lives. He thinks Ridge, Brooke and Taylor should work this out themselves, but Stephanie is making sure that Ridge winds up with Taylor.

Bridget wonders what would reopen the old wounds between Stephanie and her mom. Eric tells her that those wounds never healed; in fact, all the words of support that Stephanie offered Brooke were just pretending, and his wife still has a great deal of hatred for Brooke. Bridget can't believe that the old battles are starting over. Eric wishes they weren't, but he fears that Taylor's return has reawakened dormant feelings in Stephanie that never really went away. He can see that his wife believes that Taylor is the only woman for Ridge, and he knows she won't stop until... Bridget stops him and realizes that Stephanie is over there right now, telling Brooke to stay out of Ridge's life for good!

Stephanie tells Brooke how she feels.
At Ridge's Bel Air home, Brooke greets Stephanie, who's acting all sweetness and light. Brooke is glad Stephanie offered to come over, since she's felt at loose ends. Stephanie says she can imagine, in light of Taylor's miraculous return. She bets it isn't easy for Brooke, especially since she heard from Taylor that Brooke has moved out of Ridge's bedroom. It's only temporary, Brooke states. Stephanie asks if that's a fact or just her hope. Brooke is confident that Ridge will be compassionate and take everybody's feelings into account. Including Taylor's? Stephanie asks. Of course, Brooke answers, noting how hard this must be for Taylor. Stephanie is glad to see Brooke being so reasonable. She hopes Brooke knows how appreciative Taylor is of everything she did for the kids. Brooke says she loves Thomas and the twins like her own. Stephanie says that everyone, including Taylor, has seen how mature Brooke is now, and she and Ridge have built a wonderful family. She thinks that's pretty amazing after what went on with Bridget and Deacon, and also with the question of R.J.'s paternity. Brooke asks why Stephanie is bringing the past up. Stephanie says it isn't necessary for Taylor to find out about Ridge and Bridget, as long as Brooke's willing to do the right thing and accept that Ridge belongs with Taylor!

Brooke can't believe how far Stephanie would go.
Brooke can't believe that Stephanie expects her to walk away from her marriage. A marriage that never measured up to what Taylor shared with Ridge, Stephanie says. She tells Brooke that she's still the same tramp that set her sights on Ridge years ago, but her years of whoring around this family are over. Ridge will never have to deal with a wife who fornicates with his brother, or who carried a child without knowing who the father is. And she warns Brooke not to cry, as "poor little Brooke" won't get any sympathy for her. Brooke says she's not looking for sympathy. She just thought that after she had R.J., Stephanie would accept that she, like everyone, makes mistakes. Stephanie accuses Brooke of using R.J. as a way into this family, and a way to force her to accept Brooke's marriage to Ridge. She didn't like it, but she wanted to see her son and grandson, so she gritted her teeth and put on a happy face. But now that Taylor's back, she doesn't have to do that anymore. Brooke may think her destiny is with Ridge, but Stephanie thinks the real destiny brought Taylor back to them. And she's so grateful to have her friend, her daughter, back. That's brought goodness and decency back to the family, something she thinks has been a long time coming. A tear runs down Brooke's cheek.
