Bridget and Nick wonder what Taylor's return means for Brooke.
On the Shady Marlin, Bridget explains to a confused Nick how Taylor is alive. Nick says there's one upside to this: Ridge isn't crazy, so Stephanie won't have to put Ridge away. Stephanie and Taylor were best friends, Bridget says. Then they'll need a bigger row boat for all the tears, Nick quips. Bridget wishes Nick could have seen how relieved Steffy was, seeing her mother alive. Nick says that Brooke did a great job with those kids, but there's no replacing their real mom. He can only imagine the questions on Brooke's mind right now. Like how this affects Brooke's marriage, Bridget suggests. Or if she's even married at all, Nick adds; he's no legal eagle, but if Ridge's wife isn't dead, then is Ridge still married to her? Bridget replies that in Taylor's mind, he is, and her mom could never overcome the "pull" Taylor had on Ridge. But Ridge has never committed to Brooke like he has now, Nick points out - and if that's not enough to keep Ridge with Brooke, there's one more thing. R.J., Bridget says. Even though Nick thinks Forrester has some screwy ideas, he has no doubts about Ridge's commitment to that baby.
Bridget agrees that R,J, has more pressing needs than Thomas and the kids - and then there's Hope. Nick feels sorry for the little girl, who deserves some stability after being bounced around so much. But even if Ridge is focused on R.J. and Hope, Bridget asks, will Taylor be? Nick thinks she should, since she's a shrink and should be able to see what's best for everybody. Bridget says that Taylor's one of the kindest people there is, but can't see Taylor just giving up after fighting so hard to get back to Ridge. Nick quips that they can live in one house as a big, happy family. Bridget rolls her eyes at that idea, so Nick guesses that's a bad idea. Bridget says that's what happens when you two women compete for the same man - and just like before, she doesn't think either one will want to give Ridge up. Nick asks why she thinks this whole fantasy of one woman winning will fall in Ridge's lap. She says it may not. The thing is, her mom and Taylor were different and brought different things to Ridge's life. Nick asks her to explain. She says that Taylor could always calm Ridge, no matter how crazy their lives got. She was self assured, and it showed in how she dealt with her patients and her family. It was like they could work through anything. Nick sees Taylor made quite an impression on her and reminds her that her mom is pretty special, too.
Bridget says she's not forgetting her mom. Nick knows how much she loves Brooke and bets that's who Ridge will be with when the smoke clears. After all, there's always some storm on the horizon with her family. Bridget wonders how something so beautiful could hurt so many people. Nick notes that Taylor's only been back a short time; he thinks everyone will eventually do the right thing. Bridget reminds him that both Taylor and her mom have children with Ridge, who has committed to them both: she doesn't see a clear winner. Nick says Ridge will have to choose. But which one will it be? Bridget wonders.

Taylor gets to hold R.J.
In the twin's bedroom, a stunned Taylor says to Ridge, "You have a son." Ridge nods as Brooke introduces Taylor Ridge, Jr. Brooke is surprised Ridge didn't say anything. Ridge says there was so much to talk about that they couldn't get into everything. Brooke offers to take R.J. back to the nursery, but Taylor says she doesn't have to. Brooke tells Taylor about how wonderful Thomas and the twins are with their little brother. Taylor's sure they are. Steffy tells her mom how R.J. will be a year old soon. Taylor seems a bit shell-shocked and says, "Ridge Jr." They call him R,J,. Steffy says, suggesting that Taylor hold him. Ridge doesn't think that a good idea now, but Phoebe asks Brooke to let Taylor hold him, so Brooke reluctantly hands her son to Taylor. Taylor also seems uncomfortable; Brooke guesses it's been a while since Taylor held a baby. She goes on about how R.J. was the miracle that brought their family together. Steffy says they have a little sister too. Stepsister, Brooke corrects. Ridge says that it's Brooke's daughter, Hope. Of course, Taylor says. Steffy tells her mom how R.J. just started walking; it seems like time flies by, Brooke agrees.

Phoebe and Steffy want Taylor to stay with them.
Taylor seems overwhelmed and starts to cry; the girls asks if she's OK. Ridge thinks their mom's had enough and takes R.J. from her. Brooke tells him that R.J. has a tooth coming in that's making him miserable. Ridge notes what a brave son he has but then looks to Taylor and says he's sorry. She says there's no need to apologize, but he thinks there is. He should never have let such a surprise be sprung on her. He tells the kids that he needs to talk with their mother, but they all say he's had plenty of time and it's their turn now. Taylor agrees that she doesn't want to leave just yet, so Ridge tells the kids not to tire their mom out. Taylor thinks it will be the other way around as the kids pile around her on the bed. Ridge leaves the room, but Brooke stops in the door to watch Taylor bonding with her kids. When Ridge calls out asking where she is, Brooke reluctantly leaves.

Thomas asks his mother about the man who saved her life.
Alone with the kids, Taylor says this must be what heaven is like. Phoebe is glad Taylor never found out. Thomas asks if she's OK. If she wasn't before, Taylor says, she is now. Phoebe asks Taylor about the time she was in the palace, like a real life "Sleeping Beauty" with her own prince to wake her up. Some prince, Thomas says, since he kept their mom from them. Taylor reminds them that Omar saved her life. Phoebe asks if Omar loved her. He did, Taylor says. Thomas asks if she loved him. Taylor says she'll only love one man. Steffy asks if she's safe now. Taylor says she is, as she's surrounded by the people she loves the most in this world. As the girls tell her, "I love you," Taylor promises never to leave them again.

Ridge wants to focus on what Taylor's return means for the kids.
In the master bedroom, Brooke looks at a family photo (the same one Thomas looked at in Ridge's office the other day). Ridge comes in and says that Catherine is reading to R.J. Brooke asks why he didn't tell Taylor about R.J. He says he had so much to tell her about the family. Isn't R.J. part of that? she asks. He says that he meant "their family" but stumbles with the words because of how confusing this all is. He thinks this last 24 hours has been so hectic, with everyone thinking he's crazy and his finding Taylor alive. He admits he should have told her about R.J., but he didn't leave it out intentionally. It's just that he doesn't want to put her or Taylor in an awkward position. Brooke knows he's doing his best, because of all the feelings and emotions. He sees this is overwhelming for her, too. She says that her head is spinning. Ridge tells her that the thing to remember is that Taylor is alive and home. Yes, Brooke agrees, she is. Ridge thinks he heard something in that "she is." Brooke reminds him that Taylor is home - THEIR home - and they really need to talk about that.

Brooke suggests that Taylor will have to stay somewhere else.
Ridge admits that this situation will take a lot of adjusting. He thinks about what it means to the kids to have their mother back. Brooke says she knew the kids missed Taylor, but she could never have imagined the depth of feeling in that room. They're very blessed, Ridge says. But even so, Brooke says, things won't fall neatly into place. Taylor feels like she's been gone a short time, but it's been a lifetime for the rest of them. They're married now and they and their kids have become a real family, but Taylor is welcome to be part of that. Ridge thanks her for saying that. She knows it's important for Thomas and the girls to spend time with their mother, so they'll find a space for Taylor and the kids where Taylor can adjust to how things are now. He thinks that sounds like the start of a plan. Brooke suggests that Taylor stay in the guest room tonight, or with with the kids. Ridge doesn't see any of them leaving that room tonight. And tomorrow, Brooke adds, they can help Taylor move into the beach house, or stay with Eric and Stephanie. Wait, Ridge says: she wants Taylor to leave? As wonderful as it would be for Taylor to stay here, she says, they have a child, and Hope looks at him as her father and worships Thomas and the girls. She thinks they have a responsibility to keep that intact and hopes he sees that.
Ridge is silent: Brooke asks him to please tell her that he agrees as he looks back at her.
