Eric tries to reassure Ridge's kids.
Thomas, Phoebe and Steffy are at the Forrester mansion with Eric and Stephanie, who explain that Brooke needed some time alone with Ridge. The girls think they should be there, too, but Thomas doesn't think they need to be there. Eric agrees and tells the girls that they can see their dad when he gets home.

The twins worry that something is going on with their dad.
The girls still think they should be with their dad, so Stephanie tells them that Ridge left the hospital. She explains that their dad is having a difficult time, and in fact, they're not even sure where he is, but they're sure he's fine. Phoebe and Steffy sense that there's something Stephanie isn't telling them and want to know what it is.

Thomas levels with his sisters.
Thomas tells the girls that their dad thinks he saw their mom at the wedding. Why would he think that? Phoebe asks. Eric suggests that someone is playing a terrible trick on their father. The girls wonder who would want to hurt their dad that way. Stephanie says that no one wants to hurt him. She reminds the girls that Ridge recent had several concussions. And some of his old memories are coming back out of order, Tom adds, like they happened yesterday. Phoebe asks if that's what's happening now.

Stephanie tries to provide perspective for the twins.
Stephanie thinks that might be what's happening. Steffy wonders if something at the wedding triggered their dad's memory of their mom. Stephanie says they think that's what happened. Phoebe suggests that her dad misses her mom and much as they all do. Yes, Stephanie says, he does; in fact, they all miss Taylor and they wish they could have her back. But that's something that isn't going to happen, no matter how hard they wish for it,

Taylor tells Ridge that she wants to catch up on everything she missed.
At the beach house, Taylor asks Ridge about Thomas. Ridge tells her how their son has learned to filter the advice he gets from his dad and come up with what he thinks is right. He's becoming a man, Taylor says. Ridge admits it's scary to see your kids turn out like you. Taylor tells him not to worry about Thomas becoming like him, since he's an amazing man. She wants to see all the photos and videos, to catch up on what she missed. She sees that the sun's up and guesses everyone, especially Brooke, will be worried about where he is, so he decides to call home.
When Brooke answers the phone and hears Ridge's voice, she asks where he is. He says he's coming home; something amazing and miraculous happened and he needs to tell her about it. Brooke asks why he left the hospital and says she was worried about him. He tells her that he's tell her all about it when he gets home. He then hangs up and goes to find some clean clothes. As he returns to the room and puts on a clean shirt, Taylor tells him that this isn't going to be easy. Ridge thinks Brooke will see how great it is that the kids have their mother back. Speaking of the children, Taylor doesn't want to frighten them, so she suggests that Ridge go ahead to prepare them. He says she always knew what was best for the kids. He tells her there's a box in the other room with some of her things, including some clothes they kept. He then says he doesn't want to leave, for fear that this will turn it out to be a dream. It isn't, Taylor assures him, promising never to leave him again.
After Ridge leaves, Taylor looks through the box Ridge mentioned for clothes and finds a picture of them in St. Thomas. She smiles as she remembers those times. She then finds a pressed rose and remembers when Ridge gave that to her. They were making love in a room full of candles, and Ridge held the rose and rubbed it against her face as he kissed her. Smiling again at the memories, Taylor kisses the rose and sighs.
Brooke welcomes Ridge home and sees the dirt on his pants and shoes/ He tells her he had one one of the most incredible nights of his life and asks where the kids are. She says she sent them to Eric and Stephanie's; she tells him that she knows he dug up Taylor's grave, and she wanted to be alone with him when he came home to deal with that. She can't believe he would do something so sacrilegious. But it's not, Ridge says: in fact, it's wonderful, because it led him to learn that Taylor is alive! No, Brooke says, she isn't, and that's what worries her. She tells him that she called James, who is out of the country but recommended a colleague who can see Ridge in in the morning. He says he doesn't need a doctor; what he needs is to see the kids, to prepare them, just like he needs to prepare her, because he and Taylor know this news will take a while to sink in. But it's not real, Brooke insists. Yes it is, Ridge assures her. He tells her how he opened the casket and found a replica of Taylor inside. He thought - they all thought that Taylor was gone, but she's still alive!

Ridge tells Brooke that Taylor is alive.
Brooke is scared hearing Ridge talk like this. She reminds him that he was with Taylor when she died. But he was wrong, he says. Taylor was still hanging on, and Omar kept her alive on life support while she was in a coma. But now she is out of that coma and he was with her last night. Brooke says he was with memories of Taylor, but he insists he was really with her, no matter how impossible that sounds. Brooke begs him to stop talking like this, if not for her, for the kids. He is thinking about them, he says, and about her. He and Taylor knew this would be hard. He asks Brooke to imagine what it was like to see Taylor, to hold her and realize that she was alive. He knows it sounds crazy, but he tells Brooke to look him in the eye and see that he's not. She can't believe this, so he asks what he can do to convince her.
Brooke tells him that she, Eric, Stephanie and Bridget are all worried about him and want him to be himself again. Then believe him, he says. She says she believes that he thinks Taylor is alive - and she is, in all of their hearts. She knows Taylor will always be with him there, and with the kids. And now the kids will have her back, he says. She asks if he realizes what he's saying after all those concussions. he says he does realize it, which is why he has to prepare her and the kids. She tells him to stop it and accept that Taylor is gone! Just then, the doorbell rings. Brooke turns to answer it, but Ridge thinks he should, since this will be a shock to her. Brooke says she'll get it, just to prove that it's his parents or Thorne. She asks him to promise, once he sees that it's not Taylor, that he'll get the help he needs and let Taylor rest in peace. It's her, Ridge says.

Brooke is stunned by what she sees when she opens the door.
Brooke turns the doorknob. Outside, Taylor stands there, her arms folded. She turns to face the door as it opens - and when she comes face to face with Brooke, Brooke screams!
