Thorne is furious when he learns what Amber did.
At Spectra, Thorne learns of Amber's photo fiasco at Big Bear. As Sally and Darla look on, he tears into Amber for nearly killing Ridge and Bridget. Amber claims she made sure they didn't die. Thorne's not buying that; in fact, if it was up to him, he'd prosecute her himself. He just hopes Brooke and Ridge's marriage survives this. Amber insists she didn't want to break up their marriage. But she wanted to blackmail Ridge with that photo, he says, and he can't work with her now. Sally tells Thorne to wait; she's sure she can salvage this with a little PR magic. But that won't fix Brooke and Ridge's marriage, Thorne says, or erase that photo from Brooke's mind. Sally says that has nothing to do with Spectra. And as of now, Thorne declares, neither does Amber: she's fired!

Darla and Sally weigh in on Amber's actions.
Amber pleads that she can't lose her job this way. Thorne says she should have thought of that before she did this. She reminds him that Ridge is the bad guy who needed to be put in his place; she thought he of all people would understand that. But she watched them freeze to death, Darla points out. Thorne agrees that nothing Ridge did deserved anything so reckless or vindictive, and he won't have someone like that working for him. Amber argues that he must have done something crazy sometime to prove a point. But the photo doesn't prove anything, Thorne says. He knows his brother would never put his marriage at risk - but she did, and she put Ridge's life at risk, too! She tries to make Thorne understand, but he can't stand the sight of her and orders her out! Hurt, Amber leaves. Sally tells Thorne that they have to talk about this, but he disagrees. She tells him to think of their business. He says that keeping Amber on is condoning her behavior, and he won't do that to his family. He thinks Ridge and Brooke have been through so much, and they'll need all the support they can find to get through this.

Amber tearfully bids Spectra goodbye.
In the hall, Amber waits for the elevator. She flashes back to all the fun times she's had at Spectra, designing, being part of their fashion shows and even helping Sally with her schemes. It drives her to tears. Crying, she gets on the elevator and whispers, “Good-bye” as the door closes.

Brooke tells Nick that she has a bad feeling that Ridge isn't coming home.
At Ridge's house, the doorbell rings. Brooke runs to the door, hoping it's Ridge. She's disappointed to find Nick, checking to see if she and Ridge made up. He's not here, Brooke says. Nick's surprised; he thought he got through to Forrester when they talked and guesses Ridge just needs time to digest it. If Ridge wanted to be here, Brooke says, he would be. And if he was, Nick asks, would she take him back? Brooke doesn't know; all she knows is that she has this terrible feeling, and she fears Ridge isn't coming home. Nick says she's just concerned. She worries that Ridge was upset that she didn't believe him about the kiss. Even Stephanie believes him and sees that he hates being treated like a villain, she adds. Nick thinks Brooke's justified in her feelings and thinks Ridge should be focusing on his betraying her. Even so, he thinks Ridge still loves her. Then why isn't he here? Brooke asks. She asks Nick what he said to Ridge; Nick would rather not say, but he recalls how Brooke swore Ridge would never hurt her again when they got married. Yet here they are. And here he is, Brooke tells Nick, just like he promised.

Nick tells Brooke to wipe her tears and make her husband beg for forgiveness.
Nick says he knows how to keep a promise. But he's here to support her, not badmouth Ridge, so he thinks they should just wait for now. He thinks the problem is that Ridge, as always, doesn't think he did anything wrong, even though it was inexcusable to kiss Bridget. He tells Brooke she's the only one who can make Ridge see what he did, because she's the anchor in his life that can pull him off his high horse. Is he saying she should forgive Ridge? she asks. He says that she should accept that she and Ridge love each other and want the life they built together. It might take a while, but she can talk to him until she can do that and she and Ridge start talking to each other. Brooke isn't sure there's a light at the end of her tunnel, but Nick thinks there is. He knows Ridge has a lot of pride, but he also thinks Ridge will realize how lucky he is to have her, if she helps him. She says she will. Then wipe those tears, Nick tells her, and make sure she tells Ridge when he returns that there won't be any more tears or pain, ever. Aye, aye, Captain, she says, smiling.

Ridge is confused after his fall.
At the Cafe Russe, some patrons help Ridge back up to his bar stool as Morgan asks if he's all right. He says he's fine. Morgan scolds him for scaring her to death, so he apologizes. She sees he seems dazed and gets him some water. He drinks some; she asks if he feels better and he thanks her. She asks if he's sure he's not hurt. He says he has a headache. Morgan guesses that's because of what they were talking about. They were talking? he asks. Morgan guesses he really did take a tumble. Ridge gets up to go, but he stumbles. Morgan doesn't think he should leave in this condition and says this is all her fault for pushing her problems on him. She's so sorry she asked him to forgive her... Forgive her? Ridge asks. Morgan thinks he needs to lie down and suggests he come with her to her hotel room downstairs. He can rest there while she calls a cab for him. Ridge thinks that sounds good to him. Morgan promises that she'll take care of him and make sure he's OK.

Morgan intercepts Brooke's call.
Morgan brings Ridge down to her hotel room. She helps him take off his jacket and tells him to lie down. She promises she'll be here if he needs anything and sits down at his bedside. He takes her hand and thanks her. While he sleeps, his cell phone rings. Morgan tries to wake him, but he's out like a light. She looks through his jacket (which has Ridge's passport in it - how convenient) and finds his phone. She sees that the missed call was from Brooke (the phone displays Brooke's photo with the missed call alert). She sees that Brooke left a voice mail so she plays it back (she knows Ridge's password?): in the message, Brooke says she's still angry at him, but she loves him and wants him to come home so they can talk about this. Morgan tries to wake Ridge and tells him that Brooke called. Brooke? he asks. His wife, Morgan reminds him, but Ridge seems completely clueless.
