Hector denies Priscilla's accusations about him.
At the Ramirez home, Hector can't believe that Priscilla, the woman who told Samantha that her daughter died, is calling him insensitive to Sam's needs. Priscilla tells him to stop holding a grudge, since she and Sam are trying to move past that. Hector doesn't believe that she wants to make amends: he thinks Priscilla is trying to give Sam the fancy, Beverly Hills wedding that she thinks her daughter deserves and that he can't provide. She asks what he has in mind for the wedding: perhaps a backyard barbecue, with Sam arriving on a fire engine? Sam tells Priscilla she's not helping, but Priscilla thinks her daughter thrives on beauty and culture that Hector can't provide, simply because it threatens his machismo. Maybe that's how his culture treats women, but she won't allow her daughter to be treated that way. Sam asks her mom if this is her idea of being supportive. Priscilla apologizes for being outspoken, but she refuses to let her daughter live in a place like this, without a single sign of who Sam is, or to marry a man who clearly doesn't listen to Sam or her needs.

Priscilla “takes the cake,” thanks to Hector.
Hector guesses Sam has been talking to her mom. Priscilla says daughters always confide in their mothers. Hector says he wouldn't know, since his daughter was denied that right for years. Sam asks him to calm down; she really thinks her mom is trying. She points to the cake Priscilla brought as proof: Priscilla had it flown in from Paris, from Sam's favorite bakery where her father always took her. She has fond memories of that bakery. Priscilla tells Sam not to waste her time, since a man like Hector will never understand. Hector takes offense to that and takes out the cake. He admires how pretty it is - from the finest bakery in Paris, Priscilla says - and then digs in the way men of “his culture” do by reaching his hand into the cake and gulping down a bite. He then grabs another hunk of cake and wipes it all over Priscilla's face! Sam is shocked and gets her mom a towel. Priscilla says she's OK, since this proves what a barbarian Hector is. He says he'd rather be a barbarian than “civilized” like her. Even if Sam has forgiven her mom for what she did, he can't, and he wants Priscilla out of his home, now! Wiping her face, Priscilla asks Sam if this is the life she wants. Hector orders Priscilla to leave, so she does.

Samantha tells Hector that they rushed into their marriage plans.
Hector tells Sam he's sorry: it's just that he can't understand why she was even talking to her mother, let alone inviting her here. Sam reminds him that Priscilla IS her mother, but Hector can't forget the pain Priscilla caused them. He thinks her mother hasn't changed one bit. Sam disagrees; she thinks her mom is trying to change, and even if she isn't, what can she do to hurt them? She hoped her mother would see how happy they were and realize that she was wrong about their relationship, but all he did is confirm all her mom's suspicions! Hector thinks he had a little help, since she filled her mom in on their problems. He can't believe she would do that behind his back. Doesn't she know how he feels about secrets? Sam says she does, but she has to wonder if he knows or cares about how she feels about their home, their wedding plans or even her mother. He says they can talk about it: she says she's tried, and he always shuts her down. She has to wonder if maybe they rushed into the decision to get married without really getting to know each other. Hector says he doesn't need to get to know her; yes, Sam says, he does if he wants to marry her. If? he asks. She tells him that they have a lot of questions to answer before they rush into marriage. Hector says he doesn't have any questions, but Sam says she does and goes upstairs.

Sally considers the scandal that Ridge's actions could create.
At Spectra, Sally can't believe Amber could be so irresponsible. Clarke says Amber hoped to use the photo of Ridge kissing Bridget to get Ridge to accept her. And then Amber would be guilty of extortion AND kidnapping, Sally says, and Amber's handed the proof of it to Ridge. Clarke still can't imagine Ridge showing that photo to Brooke. Sally agrees that Ridge might even be crazier than Amber, but he also must be confident if he's willing to show Brooke that photo. Clarke wonders if that marriage can survive Brooke seeing the photo. Sally asks if he really believes Ridge has the hots for Bridget. Of course not, he says: he knows that the kiss wasn't romantic. But the photo makes it seem like it was, Sally points out, and Brooke's sure to see that. Even if Brooke is angry with Amber, Sally suggests, she'll be even angrier with Ridge, which means Spectra probably has anything to worry about. Sally then ponders the PR nightmare that would occur for Forrester if that photo ever reached the tabloids. Clarke tells Sally not to go there, but she says she'd be foolish to ignore an opportunity like that dropping into her lap. Thinking like that is what got Amber in trouble, Clarke tells her. He reminds her that Brooke and Ridge have weathered lots of storms. But this is more than a storm, Sally says; it's a level five hurricane headed for those two.

Amber pleads her case.
At Ridge's house, Amber pleads with Brooke not to let Ridge turn this around. She insists that she took this picture to help Brooke, not hurt her. Ridge tells Brooke not to listen to Amber's attempt to justify her blackmail scheme. Amber says Ridge had to be held accountable. But at what cost? Brooke asks; she's incensed that Amber trapped Ridge and Bridget in that mine for days [actually, it was more like one day] and nearly killed them. But they're fine, Amber points out, and her plan worked. Brooke refuses to listen to Amber's justification for her actions. She wonders if Amber thought about what her plan could have done to Thomas, who already lost his mother; he could have lost his father, too, thanks to Amber. Amber insists that she didn't intend for things to get out of hand, and she urges Brooke to see how Ridge betrayed her. Brooke says the only thing she sees is how obsessed and insane Amber is. Amber thinks Brooke would have gone to the same lengths she did to protect her family. But this wasn't an act of protection, Brooke says: it was an act of revenge, and nothing Amber can say will change her mind about that. She can't believe she ever gave Amber the benefit of the doubt. Amber insists that Ridge drove her to this; Ridge tells her to save the insanity plea for her lawyer. Amber pleads with Brooke to see how out of control Ridge is: look at his feuds with his family, and now he kissed Bridget on the lips!

Brooke asks Ridge how he could do this to their marriage.
Amber asks Brooke how she can ever trust Ridge again. Brooke tells Amber to stop it! She knows Amber says she's sorry, but she doesn't really believe Amber ever will be. She picks up the phone. Amber pleads with her to wait. Brooke orders her to get out! Amber tries to get Brooke to listen, but Brooke again tells her to get out, now! Nearly in tears, Amber leaves. Ridge then suggests to Brooke that they call Lt. Baker, but before they do, he wants to thank her. He knows it was difficult for her to deal with this, and he admits her was nervous about showing her the photo, but he knew it was the right thing to do. Because Amber forced his hand? she asks. Because she deserved to know what really happened, he says. He's just glad he could be honest with her, since that's what got them past this. And now, Amber is out of their lives, whicb is a blessing in disguise. Brooke however doesn't see it as a blessing, since it showed her how little she knows Ridge and how he feels about their marriage. He insists that their marriage means everything to him. Then how could he do this? she asks. She begged him to stay away from her daughter, for Bridget's sake and their's, and now he does this? Why? she asks. Ridge looks at her, stunned.
