A giddy Bridget tells Brooke about her night with Nick.
As Brooke calls Megan, hoping to get a line on Ridge, she hears a key in the door and hopes it's her missing hubby; she's disappointed to see that it's Bridget. Bridget's surprised Ridge isn't here but is sure he's OK. Brooke however worries about how she left things with Ridge. But Nick said she was willing to work this out, Bridget says. Brooke says she can't forgive Ridge for crossing the line, but she loves him and is willing to try working things out for their family's sake. Bridget's glad to hear that. She then tells Brooke about her wonderful evening with Nick; she's so giddy describing it that she dances around the room! When she sees what she's doing, she stops and apologizes for acting like a lovesick schoolgirl, especially since she knows Brooke worries that she falls for the men in Brooke's life. Brooke says she just wants her to have a man who loves her for herself, not because of his feelings for her mother. Bridget agrees; she doesn't want to get hurt, either, which is why she asked Nick about his feelings for Brooke. He said he'd always care for Brooke, but he's moved on. She thinks she and Nick share a special bond and asks her mom to be happy for her. Brooke says she's just concerned for Bridget's happiness. However, she knows Nick is a good man and thinks she can trust him with her daughter's heart. Bridget thanks her.

Jackie expresses her concerns to her son.
On the Shady Marlin, a shirtless Nick returns from a swim and finds Jackie waiting for him. She asks him how his date with Bridget went. He asks how she knew about that; she tells him Massimo told her when she had dinner with him. Nick asks for details about her dinner with his pop, but she wants to get back to his date. She guesses he went all out, since Massimo said he took the Marone jet. He says it was no big deal, just a plane ride and a necklace. After Nick mentions the necklace, she points out that he hasn't bought a woman jewelry since... She stops herself and asks if he had a good time. If he said yes, he asks, would she be happy for him? He knows she has reservations about his dating Brooke's daughter, but he and Bridget discussed that. He admitted he'll always care for Brooke, but he and Brooke have both moved on in their lives.

Nick tells Bridget he's been thinking of her.
After his mother leaves, Nick gets a phone call. He recognizes Bridget's number on the caller ID, so he picks up and pretends to complain about a messed up pizza order. Bridget laughs that he can even think about food after those buffalo wings. He jokingly asks who this is; the girl he gave the diamond necklace to, she replies. He pretends to have forgotten her name but then admits he's been thinking about her. She says she's thought of him, too; she thought tonight was so special that she didn't want it to end. Who says it has to? he asks. She says she keeps asking herself if this is really happening, and she realizes that she's happier than she's ever been. He says it's that way for both of them. Bridget says she likes playing this game and asks if they can do it again; he reminds her that he's a straight shooter who hates games. She says she likes straight shooters, especially one in particular. He agrees that they have a good thing going and thinks it will only get better. He tells her to have sweet dreams for him, and she wishes him the same.

Stephanie tries to get Eric to consider Ridge's claims about the photo.
As Eric and Stephanie dine at the Cafe Russe, Eric still fumes about Ridge taking advantage of Bridget. Stephanie tells him that she went to see Brooke, who has moved past this: if Brooke can do that, why can't he? He says it sounds like she went to plead Ridge's case, which surprises him given how upset she was over the mineshaft photo. She agrees that she was quite upset, but she also doesn't want to see Ridge's marriage end over this. She reminds him of Ridge's explanation for the kiss: while she still thinks it was poor judgement on Ridge's part, she doesn't think it should cost him his marriage and hopes Eric agrees.

Eric wonders what's happening to Ridge.
Just then, a waiter brings something to the table; it's the same guy who was tending bar earlier when Ridge was with Morgan. Recognizing Eric and Stephanie, he asks if their son made it home OK. Eric asks what he means, so the waiter explains how their son was here earlier, looking drunk. Stephanie asks him if he served Ridge any drinks, but he says he only served Ridge water. Eric thanks him for the information. Once the waiter steps away, Eric wonders what's happening to Ridge; it's like Ridge isn't even in control of his own life anymore.

Ridge is still confused.
Ridge and Morgan board a jet bound for Italy. Ridge seems to be in pain, so Morgan gives him some aspirin. He asks where they're going. As his vision blurs, he hears Morgan's answer echo in his head that they're going to Venice via Rome. Her voice stops echoing, so he hears her clearly when she tells him that she knows a top neurologist there who can help him. She promises to take care of him. Ridge thinks to himself, wondering why he can't even remember this woman; it's obvious she cares for him, but he has no idea who she is. Morgan senses his distress and tells him to get some sleep.

Morgan tells Ridge to let her take care of him.
As Ridge rests, Morgan recalls the last time she was in L.A. She remembers telling Stephanie how she felt after the abortion Stephanie forced her to have. Stephanie thought the experience should have made her stronger, but all she could think about then was the emptiness she felt after irreversibly ending her pregnancy. She thought her whole career was just a way to keep her mind occupied so she could forget that emptiness, but she kept hearing the sounds of her dead baby crying in her dreams. She comes back to reality and tells herself that this could be her and Ridge's second chance. As Ridge starts to stir, she asks if he's OK. He says he has to thank her for being so wonderful, but he doesn't even remember who she is. She says that's because of the concussion; all he needs to know, she advises him, is that she loves him and will get him the help he needs. He asks about the doctor in Venice she mentioned. She tells him to trust her.

Brooke wonders where her husband could be.
Brooke is looking at a photo of her and Ridge on the mantle, remembering how they were celebrating their love just before he showed her the mineshaft photo. The phone rings; she hopes it's Ridge, but it's Stephanie. When Stephanie realizes that Ridge isn't home, she asks Brooke if she's even heard from him. Brooke says she left messages for him on his cell, but he hasn't called back. She wonders where he is. Stephanie tells Brooke what she learned from the bartender and suspects Ridge is just sleeping it off somewhere. Brooke wonders if he might be in the guest house; Stephanie says she already asked Helen to check, and Ridge isn't there. Brooke worries, because this isn't like Ridge. Stephanie assures her that Ridge will come home and tells her to call when he does. They hang up. Brooke looks at the picture of her and Ridge again and wonders where he could be. She goes outside and looks around, tearfully begging Ridge to please come home.
