Stephanie tells Brooke to take Ridge back.
Stephanie stops by Ridge's house to talk to Brooke. Brooke thinks Stephanie's there to say “I told you so,” but Stephanie just wants to have a serious talk. She takes no pleasure in being here, even though she warned Brooke this might happen. Brooke laments how much it hurt to see Ridge kiss Bridget in the photo. Stephanie reminds Brooke that she knows what it's like to see her husband in another woman's arms. Brooke asks what she's supposed to do now. Stephanie tells her to pull herself together and take charge of a bad situation before it gets worse. Brooke doesn't think it can get any worse. Stephanie says it already has: Sally knows about the photo and has threatened to go to the media if they press charges against Amber and Clarke. Brooke is shocked that Stephanie's worried about her reputation at a time like this. What she's worried about, Stephanie says, is protecting the family - and while she and Eric are both appalled at what Ridge did, the only way she sees to protect the family is for Brooke to take Ridge back!

Brooke wonders how she can take Ridge back after what he did.
Brooke can't believe Stephanie expects her to just forgive Ridge. Stephanie reminds Brooke that family always comes first. She's worried about how this will affect Brooke's children and Taylor's, recalling how Hope has suffered because of Brooke's mistakes. This time, Brooke says, Ridge made the mistake, and she can't forget that. Stephanie guesses that Ridge has said the same thing about Brooke over the years; she's sure what happened with Bridget won't happen again. But it already happened, Brooke says. Stephanie says that's because Bridget is confused, from thinking of Ridge as her brother and her step-father through her life, and from the screwy ideas about love she got from Brooke. Brooke says this isn't her fault; in some ways, Stephanie says, it is - and if Brooke lets her marriage fall apart now, it will be. That's why she's counting on Brooke to swallow her pride, look the other way and make this marriage work, to provide those kids with some stability. Brooke isn't sure how to do that; Stephanie tells her to get Ridge over and talk to him - and more importantly, listen to him. She tells Brooke that Ridge feels like everyone's blaming him, which is why Brooke has to make peace with him while she still can.

Nick tells Ridge to “right his ship,” or Nick will do it for him!
At the Forrester mansion, Ridge is amused at Nick's attempt to save the day like Capt. Courageous, or like Popeye, pumped up with self-righteous attitude instead of spinach. Nick reminds Ridge that Brooke is just as disgusted as he is. He thinks Ridge owes someone an apology, but Ridge says he didn't anything wrong. He kissed his wife's daughter, Nick points out, and now he has to reset his compass and right this ship - and if Ridge can't do it, then he'll do it for him! Ridge says he knows what Nick's up to: he thinks this is the day Nick's been waiting for, the chance to swoop in and save Brooke from him! He recalls when Nick warned him this day would come. Nick tries to talk some sense into Ridge and make him see that he really cares about Ridge and Brooke's marriage, but Ridge doesn't buy it. He's sure Nick has been waiting for him to screw up.

Ridge is groggy after Nick hits him.
Nick says the only thing he's waiting for is for Ridge to crawl home on his hands and knees and beg Brooke to take him back; he doesn't want Brooke or to ruin her marriage, especially since he's with Bridget now! Ridge doesn't buy that, either; he accuses Nick of using Bridget as a substitute for Brooke. Fed up with Ridge's accusations, Nick hauls off and punches Ridge in the jaw! As Ridge gets up from the floor, he looks at Nick, but his vision is blurry. When Nick speaks, his voices echoes in Ridge's head. Nick makes it clear that he's not using Bridget and he's not after Brooke. In fact, he's trying to save Ridge's marriage, which is why he's telling Ridge again to go home, get on his hands and knees and beg Brooke to forgive him. Ridge slowly gets up and stumbles out of the house.

Bridget thinks they have to move on.
A short while later, Bridget arrives. She asks Nick where Ridge is. Nick tells her that Ridge was in denial, so he made Ridge face what he did and sent him home. He just hopes he knocked some sense into Ridge, since Forrester needed a good beating for crossing the line and kissing her. Worried that things got ugly, Bridget wishes this had never happened, but at the same time, she knows it did. Now they just have to move past this. But Ridge won't even admit he did anything wrong, Nick says. Bridget tells him not to worry about Ridge. He says he's not; he's worried about her and Brooke, since he doesn't want to see Ridge hurt them again. Bridget appreciates his concern, but she thinks the best way to contain the damage is for them all to let it go. He tells her that he told Ridge to go home and beg for forgiveness. She's impressed that, even though he's angry at Ridge, he respected Ridge's and her mom's marriage vows first. He says he did it because they made a commitment to each other. Bridget says he may be right, and she thinks that maybe he has what it takes to lead this family.

Morgan DeWitt is back in town!
Ridge shows up at Cafe Russe and heads for the bar. The bartender offers Ridge a drink, but after seeing how shaky Ridge looks, he suggests coffee instead. In a weak voice, Ridge says he'll take water; the bartender pours a glass and puts it down, but with his blurry vision, Ridge has trouble picking up the glass. As the bartender steps away, a woman puts down her menu, sees Ridge at the bar and smiles: it's Morgan DeWitt!

Morgan says she knew Ridge would show up eventually and heads for the other end of the bar. She says hello to Ridge, who recognizes her, even with his blurry vision and with her voice echoing in his head. She bets this is probably a shock for him. He says he heard she was out; she says she wanted to call him, but she didn't want to upset him, so she's been hanging out here for weeks waiting for him. Ridge tells her to leave him alone, but she says she just wants to apologize. He says she can't after what she did. She admits kidnapping his daughter and threatening his mother was unforgivable and crazy. She sees now that her repressed rage over the abortion Stephanie forced her to have drove her to do those things. She hopes they can put that in the past and that he can sees she's sorry. She says she heard about his marriage to Brooke and their baby boy, so she offers congratulations. He asks what she wants; her voice still echoing, she says she just wants to make amends so she can move on with her life. Ridge starts to look really woozy; he closes his eyes, tilts his head and falls off his stool, falling to the ground as Morgan calls out his name!
