Stephanie tells Gabriela of her mother's death.
At the Forrester mansion, a stunned Gabriela can't believe what Stephanie has just told her, that her mother is dead. She races through the house, looking for Helen, refusing to even listen to Stephanie's attempts to calm her. Stephanie calmly explains what happened: it was a car accident. Gaby says that's impossible, since she took her mom's car to Stanford. Stephanie tells Gaby how she was driving Helen home when a can came out of nowhere and ran a red light. Gaby points out that Stephanie is fine. And they thought Helen was, too, Stephanie explains; by the time they found about the cardiac rapture that caused Helen's internal bleeding, it was too late. Gaby guesses Stephanie was with Helen when she died and asks what she said; when Stephanie is silent, Gaby realizes her mom died alone and sobs. Stephanie gives Gaby Helen's locket, that the paramedics recovered from the car; she tells Gaby that all Helen talked about during the car ride was how proud she was of her daughter, the love of her life. As Gaby stares at the locket she gave her mom and cries, Stephanie tells her that a part of Helen will always be with her.

Eric worries that Gaby has run off.
Stephanie invites Gaby to stay with her; she thinks Helen would want that. Gaby however only wants to be alone and bolts out the door. Stephanie runs after her, but by the time she gets to the door, she hears Gaby's car zoom away. Stephanie calls out for Eric and tells her that Gaby was just here, but she took off. Eric asks where she went. Stephanie isn't sure, but she bets Gaby went to her mother's house. She thinks they should go after her. Eric agrees and ushers his wife out the door.

Bridget makes a confession to Nick.
Bridget and Nick are still dancing by Ridge and Brooke's pool, as "Sole Reason" plays in the background. Bridget accuses Nick of acting like her and over-analyzing what this dinner means. She already told him that she did this to repay him for the plane ride he arranged. Nick thinks there's something more going on in her beautiful mind; he thinks she went to all this trouble to reach him how to go slow and savor every moment leading up to dessert. She guesses he's not talking about food anymore. He asks her to sit with him by the fountain. Bridget says she didn't mean to send him mixed signals. He says he knows that, but this dinner reminded him what she's about. He sees now that she's a refined girl, and this romantic dinner taught him to slow down and savor what's in front of him rather than jump to the main course, no matter how enticing that is. She guesses he's talking about making love and has a confession for him. She says he's right that she likes to take things slow: in fact, the only man she's ever made love to is her husband. Even when she was engaged, she wanted to wait until the time was right to give herself to that man completely, and it never felt right to her.

Nick shows Bridget that some things are worth waiting for.
Bridget apologizes to Nick if she sounds old fashioned, but she wants to be honest with him. He says it's OK, because they should be able to talk to each other about anything. She admits it's hard not to make love to him, especially when he gives her that look. She says she's understand if he has a problem with her wanting to wait. He says he does and asks how she thinks her desire to live a life of virtue will reflect on a seafaring former stud like him. She says that stud looks pretty good to her. He says she looks good to him, too, which is why he's had to restrain himself every time he feels like making love to her. She says there are still some things they can do, like kissing; they start kissing and he asks if that's OK. Oh, yeah, she says. He tells her that he has some integrity too and won't let her seduce him. The waiter interrupts with dessert, a souffle that he says is quite delicate. He waits to serve it, but Nick says he can handle it from here. After the waiter reluctantly leaves, Nick cuts a whole in the souffle's center, stirs it up and pours in some whipped cream. Bridget watches as he stirs it, puts some on a spoon and feeds it to her. She moans that it's really good. Nick guesses that some things are just worth waiting for. He feeds her another bite and then kisses her.

Hector tells Caitlin about his visit with Brooke.
At the Ramirez home, Hector tells Caitlin about his visit with Brooke earlier. Caitlin's heart goes out to Brooke over Ridge's disappearance. Hector recalls the years he and Samantha lost because of lies and says he would hate for Brooke and Ridge to go through the same thing; that's why he told Brooke to keep the faith and track Ridge down. He reminds Caty of the lesson he always taught her, to put a fire out instead of running from it; he hopes he taught that to Brooke, as well. Caitlin thinks it was sweet for him to reach out to Brooke, who needs all the friends she can get right now. What she needs, Hector says, is her husband. He knows Brooke still loves Ridge and can tell that Brooke's not going to let Ridge go without a fight.

Ridge is shocked when Morgan tells him he has a wife.
In Venice, Morgan returns to the hotel room and brings Ridge croissants and coffee for breakfast; she tells him he won't be disappointed. Like she was last night? he asks. She tells him not to feel sorry, as it was too soon after his concussion. He tells her that she's a desirable woman, but it just didn't feel right to him. She hopes she didn't come on too strong by trying to relax him. He wonders if it's futile for him to try relaxing, since he still feels like he's supposed be somewhere else with someone else. She asks if he means his wife. He's surprised to hear that he's married. He WAS married, she corrects him, until his wife threw him out. He asks why she never told him this. She says she didn't want to upset him and wonders if his inability to remember that is his brain's way of protecting him. He can't believe he has a wife and wonders if it would help for him to talk to her about what went wrong. She says he'll soon have his chance, since his wife Brooke is on her way here.

Ridge hears Brooke's name and shows no recognition. Morgan admits Brooke was surprised to hear from her. But she agreed to come, Ridge points out. thinking that's good news. Morgan says they'll see. Ridge thinks about all the questions he has for his wife. Morgan tells him to slow down: there's something he has to tell him before his wife gets here. She knows he feels this connection to Brooke, because the bond they shared was incredible at one time. Ridge guesses it must have been if he married the woman. But more recently, Morgan says, things between them were kind of nasty. She warns him to be prepared for that and not to get his hopes up. Ridge says he only wants answers about the life he shared with this woman, who he obviously still has a deep connection to. Just then, there's a knock at the door: Morgan goes to answer it and we see a blonde haired woman from behind. Ridge just looks at the woman and says Brooke's name.
