Brooke seeks advice from Hector.
Brooke calls Hector over to the house to talk about the mine shaft photo; she felt like she could trust him because of his moral integrity, so she hopes he can tell her whether or not she made a mistake in kicking Ridge out over the photo. Hector says he's glad to help and asks how she felt when she saw the picture; hurt and betrayed, she says. Still, she's tried to see things Ridge's way, that the picture was innocent. Hector asks how her husband kissing her daughter can be innocent. She reminds him that Ridge thought Bridget was dying; he said he was trying to comfort her and help her hang on, and he did. But at the same time, Ridge kissed her daughter after he promised not to cross the line. She asks Hector to tell her that there's no passion in the photo and that she's overreacting. He says that he feels her pain; having raised a daughter alone, he understands the need to protect a child above all else. She says she was hoping he would tell her that she was lashing out because she was hurt, and that she was wrong to throw Ridge out. She's loved Ridge for so long and fought so hard to be with him that she wants to believe him, but he still broke his promise not to cross the line. Hector tells her not to beat herself over standing up to Ridge, since it's time someone did.

Bridget tells Nick about the kiss.
Bridget wakes up, having spent the night on the Shady Marlin on Nick's couch/bed. Nick comes down from the deck and asks how she slept; she says she was up all night from guilt over taking his bed. He reminds her that he offered the bed, and besides, he prefers sleeping on deck. He recalls what she said last night about her mom and Ridge breaking up. She says she wanted to explain then, but she was too upset. She tells him about Amber's plan to trap her and Ridge in the mine shaft, in such close quarters that they'd do something. Nick is incensed that Amber would risk their lives that way and thinks Ms. Moore should be locked up. And she will be if Ridge has his way, Bridget says - but the bigger problem is that Amber got what she wanted when Ridge kissed her in the mine! Nick can't believe it: Ridge kissed her? Bridget tells Nick it's not like it sounds. She was barely conscious and doesn't even remember the kiss. The only reason she knows it happened is that Amber caught the kiss and a hidden camera and tried to use the photos to blackmail Ridge, who refused to be blackmailed and show the photo to Brooke.

Nick wants to call Ridge on the carpet for his actions.
Nick can't believe that Ridge would show the photo to Brooke. Bridget explains how Ridge was kissing her goodbye when he thought she was dying. It wasn't a betrayal. Nick thinks that's exactly what it was. Bridget says he's wrong, but he asks how she knows for sure if she was out of it. She says she just knows. She's sure this is just Amber's sick need for revenge causing trouble. Nick thinks Ridge is the sick one; now he's hurt her as well as her mom, and Nick's not going to stand for it! Bridget pleads with him not to blame Ridge, but Nick thinks Ridge should have had enough self control not to break his word to Brooke. It's not like Amber had a gun to Ridge's head, he points out, and he's always thought the way Ridge looks at Bridget, pets her and even touches her is wrong. He sees a pattern; Ridge hurt his [Nick's] dad and her's, Thorne, and now her and her mom - and since he promised Ridge he'd be there if Ridge ever hurt Brooke, Nick intends to call Ridge on the carpet for his actions! Bridget tries to stop him, but Nick storms off.

Eric and Stephanie lash out at Ridge.
At the Forrester mansion, Stephanie stands by the fireplace, looking at the mine shaft photo. Eric comes down and sees her deep in thought; he says she also seemed bothered in bed last night and over breakfast, so he wants to know what's wrong. On cue, Ridge walks in the door. Eric asks what he's doing there. Ridge says he slept in the guesthouse last night and hopes that's not a problem. Stephanie says she has a problem - with him. Eric asks what's going on. This is, Stephanie says, showing Eric the photo. Eric is stunned and lashes out at Ridge: how could he let this happen? Ridge explains that Amber set him up. Eric recalls his rage when he caught Ridge and Bridget at Big Bear the first time. He looked the other way, but he swore if it happened again...

Ridge is shocked that Eric would believe Amber over him and asks if Amber brought the photo. Stephanie explains that Sally brought it; she was worried about her business and threatened to take it to the press if they didn't keep Amber and Clarke, who helped Amber, out of jail. Eric isn't concerned with Sally right now; he's worried about Ridge putting his marriage at risk and hurting Bridget! Ridge insists that there was compassion, not passion, in that photo. He's tired of being blamed for this, and if they don't believe him, to hell with them! Eric tells Ridge not to talk to him or Stephanie that way again. Ridge asks how he's supposed to respond to their believing Amber over him. They weren't there, he reminds them, and neither was Brooke. But Brooke was disgusted enough to throw him out, Stephanie says. Ridge blames her in part for that, for filling Brooke's head with ideas that he has feelings for Bridget. Eric tells Ridge not to blame Stephanie for this. He accuses Ridge of lashing out at this mother, just like he did at Thorne, at Thomas and at him. He thinks something's wrong with Ridge and it has to stop, especially after this. He bets Brooke can't stand the sight of Ridge - and right now, neither can he! He storms out of the house. Stephanie shakes her head and leaves the room, as Ridge sits down and rubs his temples.

Ridge tells Nick to butt out.
Ridge tries to call Sally; he gets frustrated when she doesn't answer and vows to make her regret it if she leaks this to the tabloids. Nick comes in and calls him a sick bastard. Ridge says he doesn't care what Nick thinks. Of course not, Nick says, since the only one Ridge cares about, as usual, is himself! Ridge tells Nick to back off, but Nick thinks Ridge needs am overdue ass-kicking for what he's done. Ridge asks Nick who he thinks he is. Nick reminds Ridge that he's not an outsider anymore. These people are like family to him now. He's watched Ridge reject the Marone name, try to bury Thorne and try to kick Eric out of his own business, and still he sat back. But now, he sees that he shouldn't have, since Ridge has hurt Brooke and Bridget! He points out how both Brooke and Bridget put Ridge up on a pedestal, which is why he intends to protect them from Ridge. Ridge tells Nick to butt out, since this is none of his business. Nick says he's making it his business; he thinks Ridge has hurt too many people, so it's time someone took charge to stop him. He puts Ridge on notice: as far as this family's concerned, Ridge answers to him now!
