Bridget tries to reassure her mother.

At Ridge's house, Brooke laments to Bridget that Ridge is supposed to be making the biggest decision of his life tonight, but instead, he's at the hospital with Taylor, right by Stephanie's bedside. That doesn't necessarily mean that Stephanie's going to try to pull something, Bridget points out. Brooke however is sure this is part of some grand plan by Stephanie to get rid of her, but Ridge doesn't know it. Bridget thinks that Taylor, as a psychiatrist, would see what Stephanie is doing and put a stop to any manipulations. Brooke points out that Taylor is a woman first and wants Ridge, even if Stephanie makes it happen. She just wishes Ridge would call. Bridget reminds Brooke that Eric is there; she's sure her dad won't let Ridge do anything foolish. Brooke frets that Stephanie is controlling the situation from her hospital bed in a bid to pull off the power play of her life. Bridget can't believe that's true. Brooke disagrees, but she also thinks Eric knows what Stephanie is capable of, so she hopes he'll see through his wife and put a stop to this. Bridget takes Brooke's hand and tells her to have faith in Ridge, who is just as fed up with how Stephanie has treated her as they are. That was before Stephanie was in the hospital, at death's door, Brooke fears. She can only guess what Stephanie is doing in that hospital right now to get her out of Ridge's live forever. Bridget assures her that Eric won't let that happen.

Thorne and Darla agree to stand up for Ridge and Taylor.

But in the hospital, Stephanie fondly looks on as Taylor hugs Ridge and asks if he wants to renew their marriage vows now. Right now, he says; he's committing to her and their family for the rest of their lives. They hug again, as Stephanie watches, smiling, and Eric, Thorne and Darla look on. Stephanie calls Thorne over and softly says, "Best man" to him. Thorne looks at his big brother and says that if this is his decision, he has a best man. Thorne then looks to Darla and says that Taylor also has a matron of honor right here. Taylor turns to Darla, who looks to Stephanie for approval. Stephanie nods, so Darla agrees. Eric tells Stephanie that this might be too much for her. Stephanie just takes Ridge's hand, smiles at him and says, "Love you." Ridge says that he and Taylor both love her, too and are here for her.

Eric asks Ridge to consider what he's doing.

Eric calls Ridge to the hall and asks if he knows what he's doing. Ridge reminds him that Stephanie might be dying in there, so something had to be done, and a decision had to be made. From the look on his mother's face, he's sure he made the right one. But he didn't make that decision, Eric says: Stephanie did. He knows Ridge is scared and wants to do anything in his power to make his mother happy, but he can't believe that Ridge would be manipulated by her into choosing Taylor over Brooke. Ridge turns his back on Eric, who says that he can see in Stephanie's eyes that she knows she has Ridge right where she wants him. He's sure she's twisted Ridge into making this decision. No, Ridge says firmly, turning to face Eric. Eric asks Ridge if he's told Brooke that he's chosen not to honor his commitment to her, to Hope and especially to their son, RJ. No matter who he chooses, Ridge laments, someone is going to be hurt. Eric grabs Ridge by the face and says that he knows Ridge loves his mother, too, just like he does. Still, he pleads with Ridge not to make this decision just to save his mother's life.

Darla and Thorne go to get some flowers for the wedding, leaving Taylor alone with Stephanie. Stephanie reaches for Taylor's arm and asks for Ridge. Taylor says she'll get him, but Stephanie tells her not to. Taylor assures her that it's OK; she wants to have a moment alone with Ridge anyway. She goes out to get him and sees him with Eric.

Brooke finally gets through to Eric.

Eric tells Ridge to go back in there and tell Stephanie that he's changed his mind; he thinks Ridge needs more time. Before Ridge can answer, Taylor comes out and asks if everything's OK. Everything's fine, Ridge says, looking to Eric, who tells Ridge to think about what he said and walks away. Taylor asks what that was about; nothing, Ridge says. He asks how his mother is. Thrilled to know that they're renewing their vows, Taylor says - but this about the rest of their lives and not his mother, so she wants to be sure that he really wants this. He assures her that he does and hugs her. Meanwhile, Eric enters Stephanie's room. She looks up and asks for Ridge and Taylor. They're about to recommit to each other for the rest of their lives, Eric points out, so surely they deserve some time together. Now, Stephanie insists. Just then, the phone rings: Eric answers, and it's Brooke. Glad to hear Eric's voice, Brooke asks him what's going on. Eric says that Stephanie had a heart attack but will be fine. Brooke asks him if Stephanie is using her illness to influence Ridge; before Eric can answer, Stephanie guesses that it's Brooke and orders him to hang up! Brooke pleads for Eric to answer, but Stephanie keeps telling him to hang up - and he does. Stephanie tells him to get Ridge and Taylor; he looks at her and leaves the room. Stephanie then buzzes the nurse's station and tells them, "no more calls."

Bridget asks Brooke what happened. Eric hung up on her, Brooke answers in disbelief. Just then, the phone rings. Brooke answers and it's Eric, calling from a pay phone. He tells her to get over there, as fast as she can! Brooke says she's on her way. She asks Bridget to watch the kids and bolts out. Back in the hospital, a sad Ridge says to himself, "I'm so sorry, Logan," bringing on a series of flashbacks to all the times they spent together. At the same time, Brooke races to the hospital in the rain. She calls the hospital and asks to be connected to Stephanie's room, but the nurse tells her that Mrs. Forrester isn't taking any calls. Brooke asks to talk to Eric, but she's reminded that no calls are allowed to that room. Brooke continues to rush to the hospital, hoping Ridge will wait for her to get there.

Taylor begins her vows.

Taylor asks Ridge if he's ready. He tells her how beautiful she looks as they enter Stephanie's room together. Darla is arranging the flowers as the chaplain asks Ridge and Taylor if they're ready. Everyone takes their places as Stephanie looks at Ridge and Taylor standing by her bedside and smiles. Eric nervously looks to the door as Taylor begins her vows:

"From the first time you proposed to me in St. Thomas, I knew we would be together forever. Everything about our life is already a reflection of how much we love each other. We both treasure our beautiful family, and our children. They're living, breathing proof of how much we love each other. And I want you to know that my devotion to you has not diminished, not one bit, over the years. My heart becomes more connected to yours with every beat it takes. Nothing can ever come between the love we share, not even death."

Ridge takes his vows.

Then it's Ridge's turn, but he seems to be tongue tied. Eric looks to the door one more time, but then looks away as Ridge finally begins his vows:

"No man could be as blessed as I am. To think that I had -- had lost you, only to have you return to me is just way beyond anything I possibly comprehend. To have our family, our children, reunited. Everyone has been healed by your miraculous return, Doc. I will forever love you for that. I just hope that you'll continue to know that I deserve to have such an incredible, loving, beautiful wife. That's you."

"I now pronounce you man and wife - again!"

The chaplain then pronounces them man and wife - again! Everyone laughs, but Eric looks uncomfortable. The chaplain thinks Ridge and Taylor know what comes next and tells Ridge to kiss his bride. He does, as Darla claps and Stephanie shoots them another smile.
