Stephanie tells Bridget that she sees the real Brooke.
At the Forrester mansion, Bridget tells Stephanie to lay off Brooke. She can't believe that Stephanie asked Brooke to give her son to Ridge and Taylor. They would be more suitable parents, Stephanie says. Bridget thinks Brooke deserves to raise her own child; she raised her, after all. Stephanie admits that Bridget and Rick both turned out fine, but that's despite the way Brooke brought them up. And Brooke was good to Taylor's kids, Bridget points out. Stephanie doesn't think Brooke spent that much time with them, and she also points out how Brooke's far from perfect. Bridget can't believe that Stephanie refuses to see any of the good Brooke has done; she thinks that's because Stephanie's jealous of Brooke! Stephanie says that's absurd, but Bridget doesn't agree. She thinks Stephanie sees the way that everyone loves Brooke, despite her mistakes, and hates that. Stephanie thinks Bridget, like everyone but her, is just denying the truth. She thinks the real Brooke has been on the cover of every supermarket tabloid, and it's only a matter of time before Brooke repeats her mistakes. Bridget suggests that Stephanie believes that because she refuses to let go of old resentments. Stephanie says she only wants Ridge and kids to be happy, so she believes they're all better off with Taylor. That's her opinion and she's entitled to it. As long as she keeps it to herself, Bridget says, because the decision of who Ridge will choose isn't up to her.

Nick tells Jackie to accept that he's marrying Bridget.
Jackie stops by the Shady Marlin and again tries to convince Nick to call off his wedding to Bridget, at least until things settle down. Nick asks if that means when Ridge picks Taylor over Brooke; if so, he doesn't think it will happen. Is he sure? Jackie asks. Has he spoken to Brooke? When he doesn't answer, Jackie guesses he has indeed rushed to Brooke's rescue once again. Actually, Nick says, he went to Ridge and told him to take care of Brooke and the kids. And he did that to protect the family that should have been his, Jackie suggests. No, Nick says, he only wants to have a happy life and a family with Bridget, just like Brooke and Ridge have. Jackie points out that Stephanie is going to side with Taylor, and when Stephanie sets her mind to something... Nick agrees that Stephanie is as stubborn as he is, but he thinks she should butt out. Jackie thinks that this protectiveness he feels toward Brooke is just the tip of the iceberg; she asks him to admit that, since Brooke can be his again if Ridge and Taylor reunite. But Brooke was never his, Nick says, because she loves Ridge and always will, even if Ridge leaves her. Jackie suggests that Brooke is in love with an illusion, but Nick thinks his mom is the one who's deluding herself. He wants her to listen, as he's saying this for the last time: he's going to marry Bridget, and even if she doesn't like it, he expects Jackie to accept it, starting now.

Bridget tells Nick about her confrontation with Stephanie.
After Jackie leaves, Bridget comes aboard and puts her arms around a messy Nick, who's been working with his equipment. He asks what's wrong. She tells him to forget about having the wedding at her dad's. Nick asks why, since he thought Eric was for it. The problem is Stephanie, Bridget explains; now that Taylor is back, Stephanie is determined to ruin her mom's life again. He guesses that Brooke and Stephanie got into it. Bridget tells him that she confronted Stephanie about it; maybe she should have stayed out of it, too, but she couldn't let Stephanie get away with bashing her mom. Not that it did any good, she laments. She can't believe the things Stephanie said to her mom, even though her mom's faced off with Stephanie before. She thinks the strain of holding onto her family might be wearing Brooke down. Nick says that Stephanie will have to answer to him if she keeps messing with Brooke. Bridget thinks that's sweet, but Ridge is the one who should be protecting her mom. But Ridge is so caught up in his problems, she frets, that he's not thinking about Stephanie. She sits down on the couch. Nick doesn't think she should be thinking about Stephanie, either. In fact, he doesn't even want to talk about any of those people right now. He just wants to focus on the two of them. He sits next to her and tells her to focus. They kiss.

Massimo is thrilled to welcome Taylor back.
At Ridge's house, an anxious Massimo arrives, hoping to see Taylor. He tells Ridge that he tried to be patient to allow them some time together, but he couldn't wait any longer. And he doesn't have to now, Taylor says. Massimo gives her a big hug and tells her how wonderful it is to see her. Brooke comes into the room as Mass tells Taylor how much she was missed. There was a void left in their family which has been restored by her return, he gushes. Taylor says that some things have changed since she left; for instance, Ridge told her that Massimo is his father. Now she knows why he was so involved in Ridge's life and why he was so kind to their family. Massimo is sorry that he couldn't tell her the truth then, but he's glad to finally welcome her into his family. Brooke comes in; Massimo greets her, pleased to be in the presence of another wonderful Marone woman. He envies his son to be so lucky to have two such women in his life, although he also sees how difficult the situation is. He's sure that Ridge, Taylor and Brooke can work it out without any interference from the family. Brooke thanks him and wishes everyone agreed.

Taylor and Ridge help Massimo catch up.
Taylor sits down with Massimo and tells him how Prince Omar saved her. She guesses that Omar realized when he saw her with Ridge in the cemetery that it was pointless to hold onto her. The doorbell rings; Brooke answers it and finds Jackie there. She invites Jackie to join the others, but Jackie says she wanted to talk to Brooke alone. Before she can say anymore, Mass sees her and asks why she's here. Jackie covers that she wanted to meet the famous Dr. Forrester for herself. Massimo introduces Jackie to Taylor, who realizes that Jackie is Nick's mother and apologizes for interrupting Nick's wedding to Bridget. Jackie tells her not to apologize, as her homecoming is a godsend.
Brooke steps out on the terrace with a glass of wine while Massimo talks with Taylor. He tells her not to worry about her father, who is out of the country and hasn't heard about her miraculous return; he'll make sure to send the Marone jet to pick up Jack and bring him home, to be reunited with his daughter. Taylor can't thank him enough, as she really misses her dad. And Jack missed her too, Ridge tells her. And when Jack gets here, Mass predicts, they'll have another joyous reunion, this time between a father and the daughter he adores. The phone ring; Taylor goes to answer it, thinking it might be the kids. However, she finds Stephanie on the phone. Stephanie asks to see Taylor tomorrow; Taylor offers to meet for lunch, but Stephanie says she wanted something earlier. Taylor hopes nothing's wrong; Stephanie says everything's fine and she'll explain more in the morning, so Taylor agrees to meet her. After Taylor hangs up, Stephanie looks at a photo of Ridge and Brooke. She predicts that once Taylor finds out what Brooke has done, she won't let Brooke stay in her house even one day more.

Jackie asks Brooke why she wants to remain an outsider looking in.
Jackie joins Brooke on the terrace and shuts the doors. She guesses that Taylor's return has been difficult for Brooke. It's a blessing for the children, Brooke says. But not for her, Jackie guesses, looking inside. She notes that Ridge and Taylor are inside, while Brooke is out here, looking in - unless Brooke changes that. Brooke says no decisions have been made, but Jackie thinks Brooke sees the writing on the wall, with Ridge being pulled back into the family he had before he married Brooke. She reminds Brooke that there is another man out there who cares about her. But Nick is engaged to Bridget, Brooke points out. Jackie agrees that Bridget is a lovely girl who deserves a man who is totally committed to her. She has one, Brooke says. Jackie says she doesn't want to hurt Bridget; in fact, she wants to spare her the pain of marrying another man who is in love with her mother. Brooke asks if Nick said something to suggest he's not 100% devoted to Bridget. He doesn't have to. Jackie says. She thinks that Stephanie is right that Ridge and Taylor will reunite, which is why she wants Brooke to see what's happening. Once Nick marries Bridget, she points out, it will be too late. She thinks that the Forresters will never appreciate Brooke the way she and Nicky do, which is why she is urging Brooke to look after her well being, and her childrens', before it's too late. Looking inside again, she says that Brooke's future is not in there. But Brooke and her children can have that future with Nick, Jackie says, as Brooke looks in and considers Jackie's words.
