Nick tries to be reassuring.

On the Shady Marlin, Bridget fumes about Stephanie. Nick wants to forget about Stephanie, but Bridget can't help but think about how out of control Stephanie is. Nick reminds her that Stephanie will do anything to get what she wants, no matter who get hurt, and that includes convincing her that he's still in love with Brooke. Bridget knows that's not true, but that doesn't make it hurt any less, just like it hurts hearing it from his mother. He says that his rule is not to listen to his mother. But Taylor also sees it, Bridget points out. Nick points out that Taylor has an agenda. But she's also trained as a psychiatrist to read people, Bridget says. Nick doesn't care if she's trained to catch Frisbees in her mouth; he tells Bridget not to listen to Taylor or Stephanie. He tells her to look at her ring, because he loves her now as much as he did when he gave it to her. He then puts her hand on his chest to feel his heartbeat. He then teases her by faking that his heart can't take this anymore and tells her to take him to the bed. She does, and they kiss. He asks if she gets it that he loves her. She says she does.

Bridget tells Nick about Massimo's offer.

After they make love, Nick thinks that should clear up just who he loves. Bridget says she knew, but she needed assurance. He tells her to treat him as her reassurance factory and kisses her. He says that if they were smart, they'd move away from this insane asylum. Speaking of which, she tells him about Massimo's offer to get married on his yacht. Nick says he suggested that, but she points out that he wanted to use a fishing boat off Catalina. He asks what she told his pop; she says she told Mass she would discuss it with him [Nick] and think about it. Nick says he's thinking about it and asks what she thinks. She says she would love to see the look on Stephanie's face if they did. He doesn't want to think about Stephanie now. Then don't, she says, as they have nothing to prove to her. She's not afraid to wait to get married, anyway. Besides, no matter what Ridge decides, it won't change anything between them. Nick asks if he finally convinced her. Pretty much, she says. He says that sounds like a "sort of." Maybe she could use some more reassurance right here, she says, pointing to her neck. He kisses her there, so she lifts the covers and pulls them over them, pointing out a few more spots that Nick likes.

Thomas offers support to his mom.

At Ridge's house, Taylor tells Thomas that Ridge will be home soon. Thomas asks if she's nervous; she says she isn't, because she loves his father. Thomas says he knows that, and he knows his dad loves her, too. She asks if he believes his dad will choose her. How couldn't he? Thomas asks. She reminds him that Brooke would probably same the thing. That's what makes this so hard, Thomas says; he loves Brooke and appreciates everything she did for them, but he can't think of a better wife and mother than his mom. The phone rings; Taylor answers and it's Ridge. He tells her that he just got in and asks her to meet him at the office. She says she'll be right there. He tells her, "I love you, sweetheart" and hangs up. Taylor tells Thomas that Ridge wants to meet her at the office. Thomas gives her a hug, confident that this means that his dad picked her.

Eric offers support to Brooke.

In Eric's office, Eric asks Brooke if he's making her uncomfortable. She says he's being just supportive, as always. She walks over and picks up a picture of her, Ridge and RJ. Eric walks up behind her and tells her that he meant what he said: he'll be there to lend a shoulder to lean on if she needs it, but he doesn't think she will. As much as he thinks Taylor is a wonderful woman, he thinks Ridge would be a fool to walk away from the life he's built with Brooke. He's sure Ridge will come home to her and RJ. Just then, she gets a call on her cell phone: it's Ridge. He tells her that he just left the airport. She says she's at the office and will rush right home, but he tells her to wait there for him. He tells her, "I love you." She says she loves him, too, with all her heart and hangs up. Brooke tells Eric that Ridge is on his way here to meet her. She asks if that's a good sign> He says it is and hugs her.

Brooke goes to Ridge's office, where she tells Megan that Ridge is on the way. Megan thinks that means Ridge chose her and tells Brooke that she's happy for her. They hug, but their joy is interrupted by a scream from the hallway. Outside, a terrified model, Ava, shouts, "It can't be! You're dead!" Taylor, wearing a hat and dark glasses, tries to explain, but the model runs off just as Caitlin approaches. Caitlin introduces herself to Taylor and says that she knows how happy everyone is to have Taylor back. Brooke and Megan come out; Brooke asks Taylor why she's there, especially since she thought Taylor wanted to lay low until she saw her father. Taylor says that Ridge asked her to meet him there. She guesses that Ridge would have made other arrangements if he knew Brooke was still her. But Ridge knows she's here, Brooke says, and even asked her to wait for him here. They stare at each other and go into Ridge's office.

Stephanie is confident that Ridge will choose Taylor.

Caitlin tracks down Ava and tries to explain as Stephanie comes off the elevator. Caitlin explains that Taylor is here. That pleases Stephanie, who heads for Eric's office. Inside the office, Megan tells Eric about Ava. Stephanie comes in and asks Eric if he knew Taylor was here. He says he just heard. Megan says that Taylor is with Brooke in Ridge's office. Stephanie is surprised to hear that Brooke is here. Megan leaves as Eric explains that Ridge asked both women to be here. Which means he made a decision, Stephanie says, and he wanted Brooke to be here when he chose Taylor. Eric asks if she's sure that's who Ridge will choose. Why wouldn't he? she asks. Eric tells her that this is Ridge's decision, so she should stay out of it. Stephanie immediately guesses that Brooke was here crying to him. This isn't about her and Brooke, he says. It's always about Brooke, she fumes, furious at the way Brooke has once again wrapped him around her finger. Eric asks why she tried to turn Nick against Brooke. She says she didn't; she just wanted Nick to convince Brooke to step aside gracefully. And what about Bridget? he asks. She says she's worried about Bridget, and if he and Ridge can't see what has to be done... Before she can say anymore, she hears Ridge talking to Megan outside.

Ridge tells his mom that she'll have to wait for his decision.

Stephanie asks Ridge to come in. He asks if it can wait; she says she wants to hear that he's staying with Taylor. He says that he knows this is hard for all of them, but he wants to talk to Broke and Taylor. Eric tells him that they're both waiting in his office. Ridge starts to leave, but Stephanie stops him. She knows Brooke loves him, but she knows how special his bond is with Taylor and hopes he sees that, too. He leaves the office. Eric tells Stephanie not to even think about following unless Ridge calls her, and he means it. She bets that Brooke will cry to guilt Ridge into choosing her. Unlike the way she has meddled in everyone's lives, he says, especially Ridge's. She says that she'll always do what's best for her son. He thinks of all the times she said that in the past: he wanted to believe she meant it, but now he thinks that's just her way of justifying getting what she wants at all costs. He wanted Taylor's return to be a blessing for this family, but he fears it's brought out the worst in his wife. He knows she wants Ridge with Taylor, but he just can't love the person she is right now.

In Ridge's office, Taylor asks Brooke if they can agree to be supportive of whatever Ridge decides, even though one of them will be hurt. Brooke thinks she wouldn't ask her to do that if she wasn't confident that Ridge would choose her. She bets Taylor and Stephanie think they've played their cards right in bringing up all her mistakes. She can understand that in Taylor's case, since she's been away for years, but she's surprised Stephanie would make the mistake of being that confident knowing how much Ridge loves her [Brooke]. She thinks Stephanie should have known that pushing Ridge would only blow up in her face.
