Clarke questions Sally's choice for a new designer.
Clarke tells Sally that she's out of her mind to hire Thomas as a designer. They don't even know if he can draw, he protests, expressing his desire to get a real designer, someone with real talent and experience and not just a name. Sally thinks hiring Thomas is a fabulous idea: she thinks the only experience he needs is in signing the Forrester name to paper.

Thomas thinks he's the man Sally needs.
As if on cue, Thomas stops in and asks why Sally wanted to see him. Inviting him in, Sally explains the problems Spectra has had getting their finger on the pulse of the youth market since Amber left. Since Thomas is part of that market, she thinks he might know someone who feels that teen vibe and is hungry to work. Someone, perhaps, who might feel held back in his current position, and whose talent isn't appreciated. Thomas asks if the person needs any experience, Not necessarily, Sally replies. She looks to Clarke, who says the person might want to be an overnight sensation. Sally agrees. In that case, Thomas says, she can stop looking, as he's her man.

Eric listens to Bridget's concerns.
Bridget drops by Forrester to see Eric. He's glad to see her, especially since he's still a bit down about having to turn down Thomas's request to work there as a designer. He explains how he wants Thomas to get some education first. Bridget says she understands, but she can't fault Thomas for wanting to learn from the master, the man who designed her gorgeous wedding gown. Eric recalls how proud he was, and more importantly, how proud Nick was to see her in that dress. He asks about the wedding. She says that Nick wants to move ahead, but she wants to take it slow. She wants it to be a joyous time for their family, and there are so many things to consider. Eric asks if Jackie is still being difficult and offers to talk to her. Bridget thanks him, but her biggest concern is that Stephanie is coming down on Brooke now that Taylor is back. Eric says he's already spoken to Stephanie about that, but he will again. Still, he fears it won't do any good, as Stephanie's feelings run deep about this and she'll pull in any ally she can. Bridget fears that by doing so, Stephanie will force the family to choose sides.

Taylor wants answers about Brooke's actions.
After the kids leave for school, Brooke comes down and offers to help Taylor find office space to reopen her practice. Taylor says she hasn't really thought about her practice, since she's been trying to figure out what kind of woman sleeps with her husband's brother the day after her husband dies. Brooke says she thought they agreed not to talk about that last night. What she said, Taylor points out, is that she would abide by Ridge's decision. That doesn't mean she doesn't want to understand how Brooke could become aroused by her brother-in-law. Brooke says she wasn't aroused. Then what happened? Taylor asks; she asks if Ridge was right that Nick took unfair advantage. Nick's not deranged, Brooke says; she thinks it was just a mistake that happened, and it was really no one's fault. That's the problem with her, Taylor tells Brooke: it's usually never anyone's fault, especially not her own. Brooke points out the good she's done that Stephanie fails to mention, like everything she's done for Taylor's children. Taylor points out that Brooke also devastated Bridget by sleeping with Deacon, Bridget's husband. Now Bridget is engaged to marry another man who was once involved with her mother, and she can't believe that Brooke doesn't see how Bridget can't be affected by that.

Bridget defends Brooke.
Just then, Bridget comes in and overhears; she suggests that Taylor ask her directly how she feels about that. She explains to Taylor that she doesn't condone her mother sleeping with Deacon. In fact, it nearly destroyed their relationship when she first found out. But in time, she thought about it, and she realized that her mother loved her and would never do anything to intentionally hurt her. Knowing that made her realize that she could forgive her mother for her mistake, rather than let it tear their family apart. Taylor says she's happy that Bridget found a way to come to terms with what happened, but she fears it could happen again with Nick. Bridget assures Taylor that it won't; she loves Nick, and more importantly, she trusts him. She also trusts her mother and knows that Brooke would not do anything to interfere with her relationship with Nick. Brooke agrees. So Nick is the right man for her? Taylor asks Bridget. Bridget has no doubt in her mind.

Stephanie gives Nick her opinion.
Stephanie calls Nick over to the mansion. When he arrives, she says she wants to talk about having his wedding to Bridget at her house. Nick is confused, as he thought that was a dead issue after the little tiff she had with Bridget the other day. Stephanie says they've had tiffs before, and she's not going to let a disagreement get in the way. After all, they're all entitled to their opinion. And her's is that Ridge should be with the "ex-dead wife," Nick says. He doesn't see any point in talking about this and turns to leave, but she asks him to stay and tell her how he really feels. He says that what he wants is for Brooke to be happy. The thing is, it's not his decision to make; it's Stephanie's "Golden Boy" Ridge's decision as to which woman he'll be with. Stephanie thinks the choice is obvious. Nick agrees - and he thinks Ridge will choose Brooke, and he doesn't think that should surprise Stephanie. But his mother might, Stephanie tells Nick, since she knows Jacqueline thinks Brooke would be better off with him.

Nick tells Stephanie who he thinks Ridge will choose.
Nick tells Stephanie not to bring Jackie into this; he thinks Stephanie, just like his mom, is trying to convince him of his lingering feelings for Brooke, but that's a load of crap. He intends to marry Bridget, and his feelings for her or for Brooke are none of Stephanie's concern. But they are *HIS* concern, Stephanie says, which is why she wants him to think about how he really feels. She doesn't want to see him marry Bridget only to wake up one day and realize that he's married the wrong woman. The decision, Nick tells her again, is Ridge's and not his, and he still feels that Ridge will choose Brooke and the family they built together. And that family is what Brooke is clinging to, Stephanie suggests - and when that all falls apart, as she's sure it will, she thinks Brooke will turn to Nick. Brooke will need him more than ever, she believes, which is why he also has a decision to make - and she prays he makes the right one.
