Gaby asks Thomas if he's sure about marrying her.
In the Vegas wedding chapel, the minister grows impatient as Gaby tries to snap tongue tied Thomas out of his silent stupor. Thomas apologizes; it's just that the vows made this seem so real. Gaby asks if he really wants to do this; he says he does, so the minister rushes them through their vows and asks for the rings. When the couple admit that they did this so hastily that they don't have any rings, the minister tells them to forget it and pronounces them man and wife. Thomas and Gaby kiss and talk about what they just did. Gaby wonders if they did the right thing, especially since the minister said "'till death do us part." Thomas tells her not to worry, as this only has to last until she can get her green card and get into college.

Nick is stunned to see who's in the chapel getting married.
The minister asks the newlyweds to sign their marriage license; they hesitantly sign, making their marriage legal. The minister goes to get the next couple, leaving the doors open. Gaby worries that someone will find out, but Thomas promises her that their secret is safe. Just then, Nick comes in to find Bridget's purse, and he spots Thomas and Gaby through the open chapel door.

Thomas asks Nick to keep his and Gaby's secret.
Thomas and Gaby exit the chapel. While Gaby goes to freshen up, Thomas goes to buy her flowers; Nick comes up and says that Thomas can have his. He then asks Thomas why he's here. He asks if Ridge and Taylor are here to tie the knot; Thomas says no. Nick says that he saw Gaby and asks Thomas if she's pregnant. Thomas again says no. Then why are they here? Nick wonders. Thomas asks Nick to leave before Gaby sees him and freaks. Nick needs something more. Later, Thomas says; right now, he just needs Nick to promise not to tell anyone about this. Nick asks when they're coming home. Tonight, Thomas replies, again asking Nick not to tell. Nick agrees.

At Insomnia, Dante orders a double espresso. His waitress, who's taken by him, brings it, but he spends his time sketching. The waitress comes over and asks if there's something wrong with his coffee. He's Italian, he says, so he's serious about his coffee. The waitress flirts with him, asking if he's here on business or pleasure. He says he's here to see an old friend. He goes back to his sketching; when he's done, we see that he's drawn Taylor.

Taylor corners Brooke for not playing by the rules.
At Ridge's house, Taylor wonders what's going on at the beach house when Brooke comes in, still wearing Ridge's shirt. Taylor bets that Stephanie nailed Brooke, since Brooke obviously broke the rules with the way she's dressed. She can't believe Brooke was that desperate. Brooke tell Taylor to save the lecture, as she already heard it from Stephanie. Taylor says that she's not going to lecture her; rather, she wants to thank Brooke for making Ridge's decision easier by making this a game about sex. Brooke says that she's not making this into a game, and she's not desperate just for wanting to be with her husband. Taylor quips that Brooke couldn't even play by the rules for one night. Brooke points out how fair and patient she's been since Taylor came back, so she doesn't think she has anything to apologize for. In fact, she doesn't regret going to Malibu, and neither does Ridge. Taylor asks Brooke if she slept with Ridge; Brooke says she would have, but Stephanie showed up.

Brooke tells Taylor that Stephanie is acting crazy.
Taylor thinks Ridge is to smart to sleep with Brooke, especially since he was the one who wanted time to reconnect with each of them alone. They were each supposed to have their day. But plans change, Brooke says; she wonders if Taylor has forgotten how Ridge has always been attracted to a woman who's comfortable with her sexuality. Taylor thinks Brooke might describe herself that way, but she and Stephanie see her differently. And every time Stephanie tells Ridge that and bashes her, Brooke explains, it just makes Ridge want to protect her even more. Taylor thinks there's some truth in what Stephanie says, as tonight proved. Brooke says she was just having fun; Ridge is able to relax with her, since she's not judging him, unlike Taylor or Stephanie. Even if Taylor is the perfectly moral mother, Brooke asks, why would Ridge want to be married to a saint? Taylor says that she's not a saint. Tell that to her best friend Stephanie, Brooke says. Taylor thinks Stephanie is just looking out for her son. But she's also turned Taylor's return into a personal crusade, Brooke says, and Ridge is bound to see and resent that. Stephanie is very important to Ridge, Taylor says, so why shouldn't she tell him how she feels? Because Stephanie's acting crazy, Brooke says, including going to the beach house twice in one day.

Dante shows up on Taylor's doorstep.
Taylor thinks Stephanie can't bear to think of Ridge being with Brooke, but Brooke thinks that Stephanie knows it's going to happen. Taylor asks Brooke why she came back tonight if she's so sure. Because she didn't want to get into another argument with Stephanie in front of Ridge. Maybe they're not arguing, Taylor suggests, since Brooke's actions tonight may have proved Stephanie's point. Let Stephanie rant and rave, Brooke says, since nothing can come between her and Ridge, including Taylor. Brooke leaves the room just as the doorbell rings. Taylor answers and finds Dante there. He says that he knows that she asked him not to come, but he couldn't leave LA without seeing her. Taylor doesn't look happy to see him.

Ridge again tells his mother to stay out of his decision.
Ridge returns to the beach house with some food and is surprised to find his mom there. He asks Stephanie if she kicked Brooke out. Brooke wasn't supposed to be here, Stephanie reminds him. Ridge asks why she can't leave this alone. Because she knows that Taylor is the woman for him, she replies, so why can't he please just pick her? Ridge goes out on the porch; Stephanie follows. He tells her that he won't let anyone make his mind up for him. She says that she's just trying to help, but he says that her interference is just making this harder. She says that she wants to offer an objective opinion, but he says she's hardly that. She tells him that she's frustrated that Brooke is keeping him from his family. He says that he's the one who is frustrated: he came here to get away from her and to spend time with both women. And does he expect to have some epiphany to help make up his mind? she asks. Whatever he decides, Ridge says, is his business. Then make up his mind before Brooke pulls some other stunt, she replies. He warns her that he's had it with her attacking Brooke; if she keeps it up, he cautions, she may not like what happens next. He goes inside, leaving Stephanie out there, rubbing her left arm and having trouble breathing.

Stephanie has some pains and stumbles.
Stephanie follows Ridge inside and points out how it's become second nature for him to defend Brooke. Thanks to her, he says. She says that's because Brooke always plays the victim, even though Brooke tried to keep her from her grandchildren. If Brooke did, Ridge says, it's because she was provoked by her; in fact, he thinks she's treated Brooke like garbage since they first met. She reminds him that Brooke stole her husband. She just wants to protect him. If she did, he says, she would have accepted Brooke long ago. She says she'll never accept Brooke and won't let him waste his life with her. It's his decision, he shouts, and he's had it with her vendetta against Brooke. Stephanie stumbles and knocks a vase off the mantle. Ridge rushes over and asks if she's OK. He obviously doesn't care, she says, if he'd consider a life with Brooke. Ridge wants to call for help, but she says she doesn't want to be around if he chooses Brooke. She doesn't mean that, he says. She says she means it and pleads with him to stay with Taylor. Isn't he grateful for how hard Taylor fought to get back to him? He says he is, but he made a life with Brooke. A life with scandal, she says, begging him not to throw away this chance. He tells her to calm down. She pleads with him not to do this. Ridge asks if it's her heart as he tells her to breathe.
