Ridge and Taylor want answers from Thomas.
At the Forrester guest house, Thomas and Gaby get up from the bed as Ridge demands to know what's going on. Fixing his shirt, Thomas asks if this can wait, but Ridge says it can't. Taylor and Ridge tell their son about Agent Dunn's visit earlier, including the fact that Dunn showed them a wedding certificate from a *wedding shack* in Vegas with Thomas and Gaby's names on it. Ridge can't believe Thomas and Gaby would be so foolish. Thomas says they didn't do anything wrong, but Ridge thinks getting married in Vegas without telling them qualifies. Thomas explains how Gaby had her enrollment at Larchmont College revoked because she was not in the country legally, which would have meant that Gaby would have to leave the country and forget her mother's dream. Marriage was the only way out, and now Gaby has been reinstated at Larchmont and her legal status is pending. He knows he should have talked to them first, but he hopes his parents can understand what he did.

Thomas and Gaby try to explain.
Thomas asks Ridge what he would have done in this situation. Ridge says that he would have talked to his father instead of acting like he had all the answers. Thomas explains that Connor said this was the only way, even if it was illegal. And he did it anyway, Ridge says. Gaby asks Ridge to blame her and not Thomas. Ridge says that he does blame her, for taking advantage of Thomas's big heart. Thomas insists that this was all his idea, and in fact, he had to talk Gaby into it. Ridge says that Gaby didn't look like she had to be convinced when he caught the two of them in bad. Thomas says that nothing happened and tells his dad to stop treating him like a kid. Then stop acting like one, Ridge says, adding that he's calling his attorneys to end this marriage! Ridge then leaves. Gaby turns to Thomas and cries that this is all her fault. Thomas says that it was his idea, and he wishes his dad could see that he's old enough to make his own decisions. He looks to Taylor and asks what she thinks. She tells him that what he did was wrong, since marriage is sacred and shouldn't be used to get around the law. However, she sees that his heart was in the right place, and she's proud of the compassion he showed. She gives him a hug. Gaby says that she's sorry. Taylor reaches out to Gaby and pulls her into the embrace, saying that they'll figure something out.

At Brooke's house, Bridget answers the door and greets Dante, who has arrived for dinner with a bottle of Chianti - from Toscana, he points out. Bridget recalls pouring out her life's story to him after two glasses of Toscana when they first met in Rome. Dante teases that she'll do even more after four glasses tonight. Bridget doesn't think so, since she invited her mother to join them tonight. She thought Brooke needed a break. And, she adds, she invited Nick, once he gets back from taking Hope to dance class. Dante suddenly thinks this dinner is a bad idea. Bridget admits that she knows that he and Nick didn't hit it off. That's because she deserves a man who loves her, Dante says, not her mother. That's why she invited him and Nick, Bridget explains: she wants him to see how in love she and Nick are. He thinks he'll need more wine. She tells him to pour himself some while she goes to get her mom.

Brooke confides in Bridget.
Bridget goes upstairs and finds her mom in her bedroom, staring at the phone. Brooke explains that she's waiting for a call from Jackie, who is dining with Dr. Mark Maclaine as they speak in an effort to prove that Stephanie faked her heart attack. Bridget thinks that sounds crazy, especially since Mark would never risk his career that way. Brooke is sure Stephanie could find a way to convince Mark, who in fact just moved into the exclusive Century View Towers. Bridge thinks this is nuts: she agrees that Stephanie manipulated her situation, but to fake a heart attack? Brooke says that this would be the most conniving thing Stephanie ever did, and the most stupid. And once Jackie gets Mark to talk, she adds, Stephanie will get the justice that she so richly deserves.

Jackie urges Mark to open up.
At the penthouse, Jackie tells Mark to finish what he was saying about a deception. He says that Stephanie deceived everyone. Jackie tries to get him to go on, but he worries that Stephanie is a powerful woman. All the more reason for him to admit what's on his mind, Jackie says, before Stephanie uses it against him. Mark says it should never have happened: he should have stopped the ceremony, but it meant so much to Ridge, who thought he was saving his mother's life. But Stephanie wasn't dying, Jackie surmises, urging Mark to make it right by admitting what was going on that night. Mark turns to face her, but his pager goes off. Jackie asks for just one more minute, but he says he has to go and leaves. Once he's gone, Jackie picks up the digital recorder from under the napkin. She then calls Brooke and tells her that she got *THIS* close to getting Mark to admit that Stephanie was faking. She knows this is a setback, but she's sure Mark will be back, and she'll get him to spill everything when he does. Then Stephanie will know what it's like to lose credibility and respect, just like Stephanie has taken those things from her. Then they'll see how Stephanie does when she's lost everything.

Jackie then looks at a photo of Massimo and recalls Mark talking about all the things in his life he gets from Marone Industries. She tells herself to have courage, because winning always has risks. She then calls Massimo and says that she needs to see him. She thanks him and hangs up, thinking about all the people Stephanie has manipulated, like Brooke, Ridge and even Eric. But this time, Stephanie has gone too far, which is why Jackie intends to take her down.

Nick brings Hope home and sees Dante.
Dante is sipping a glass of wine when Nick and Hope arrive. Nick is helping Hope practice her "B" words when he sees Dante; he tells her to go ask Catherine to give her a BATH before BEDTIME, emphasizing the B sounds. Hope asks Nick to come read to her, but he says he will at BEDTIME. Hope sees Dante and asks who he is. He says he's Bridget's friend and introduces himself to the Bellisima Hope, who thinks he talks funny. Dante laughs. Nick sends Hope up with her book and tells her to read 4 chapters and then write a story. Once she's gone, Mick asks Dante why he's here. Dante says he's having wine before dinner. Nick tells him to leave; Dante is confused, because he thought this was Brooke's home, and not Nick's - or is it? Nick tells him not to let the door hit him on the way out. Bridget comes down and confirms that she invited Dante to dinner. Nick says Dante mentioned that, but he wasn't sure if he should believe it. Dante quips that "Americans" have a simplistic of the truth, and of lies. Nick says that he'll let Dante stay as a courtesy to Bridget, but warns Dante not to expect to enjoy it. He then greets Bridget with a quick kiss.

Bridget tries to convince Nick that Dante is a friend who is concerned about her. And after tonight, she predicts, those concerns will fly right out the window. Dante tells Nick that he's going to keep him honest. Nick finds that rich coming from Dante. Brooke comes down and introduces herself to Dante, who praises her beauty. Nick asks if they can start dinner, as he's getting nauseous. Dante ignores him and thanks Brooke for welcoming him into her home, especially after his part in helping Taylor get home. He admits that it was a difficult situation. Brooke says that anyone who was there for Bridget like he was is always welcome in her home. Dante thanks her, as he plans on spending as much time as he can here - that is, as long as Bridget will allow it.

Dante makes a plea to Bridget.
Over dinner, Dante praises Los Angeles and its vibrant energy. Bridget suggests that Brooke show him around, and maybe she can even sit for him. Dante says it would be a challenge to capture Brooke's beauty on canvas. Nick looks like he can't take all this. Hope comes down and asks Uncle Nick to come read to her. Brooke offers to out Hope to bed, but the girl will only go up if Uncle Nick comes with her. A promise is a promise, Nick says, going up with Brooke and Hope. Dante looks to Bridget and asks where this great love is between her and Nick, because he can't see it. However, he thinks that he, as an outsider to the situation, can see how close Nick is to her mom and Hope. Bridget says that Nick is her mom's friend, but Dante disagrees. If they were friends, why would Nick object to his painting a portrait of Brooke? And why would Nick go up with her mother and Hope, leaving her here? Bridget assures him that her mom and her fiance will not cross the line, but he isn't as sure. He thinks going down this path will only spell disaster for Bridget, which is why he wants her to come away with him.
