Jackie congratulates Stephanie on an inspired plan.
At University Hospital, Mark and the Chief of Staff are with Stephanie when Jackie drops by. Jackie's pleased to see Stephanie looking well, although she expects no less with the Chief of Staff there. The Chief of Staff says it's just a courtesy call, extended because Stephanie, like Jackie, has given so generously to the hospital. Jackie then compliments Dr. Maclaine on Stephanie's condition, but Mark says it's due to Stephanie's determination. He tells Jackie not to stay too long and leaves with the Chief of Staff. Once they're gone, Jackie congratulates Stephanie on her performance: here she's been, trying to do the same with her son with a slingshot, and Stephanie comes up with a "smart bomb." She looks to Stephanie's heart monitor. Stephanie tells her not to touch it. Jackie says it looks to her that Stephanie's heart is jumping for joy, but Stephanie says she's not feeling well. Jackie bets that someone like Mark could program one of these to sound an alarm - maybe if someone held her breath? Stephanie says that's outrageous, especially since Dr. Maclaine is a man of integrity. And such men have high standards with things like cars and yachts, Jackie says. She admits that she and Stephanie have never been friends, but after tonight, she's at the head of Stephanie's fan club.

Stephanie asks if it looks like she's acting.
Stephanie asks if this looks like an act. Does that mean she really gave herself a heart attack, just to lay a guilt trip on Ridge? Jackie asks. She promises to keep Stephanie's secret, as she knows what a mother would do. And now that Ridge is with Taylor, she adds, Nick can be happy with the right woman, although she knows she and Stephanie will disagree on Brooke's merits. Stephanie sees two obstacles to that. If she means Bridget, Jackie says, she's a nice girl, but Nick needs someone more schooled in the ways of the world. She asks what the other obstacle is. Stephanie says that Brooke will be very schooled by the time she gets out of jail for trying to kill her! Jackie asks Stephanie if she really wants to press charges, since that might invite a closer look at her condition. Stephanie really doesn't care where Brooke ends up, but she knows Brooke's in prison for now. Actually, Jackie says, Brooke is with Nick right now, and it didn't sound like he was leaving her side any time soon. Just like Brooke, Stephanie says: always reaching for a man to dry her tears instead of a tissue.

Nick tries to help Brooke.
At Brooke's house, she asks how she could be so dumb to not see how outclassed she was. Nick tells her to stop: he sees she's in pain, but he doesn't buy this crap about Taylor being Mother Theresa and Miss Universe rolled into one. Besides, it's easy to be a model woman when no one knows what you've done for years. Right now, he thinks they should make this place livable. Brooke says that everything's in boxes in the basement. She even considered selling the place. Nick thinks they should hold off on that. She says that Ridge went too far to turn back, after taking his vows with Taylor tonight. Ridge took vows with her, too, Nick points out. He thinks what they really need to find is the "old" Brooke, the "tell it like it is" woman who knew who she was. She guesses she'll have to do what she always does. How about making this a home for the kids? he asks; if they lose this, they won't understand why. Doesn't he see that she knows that? she asks. He tells her that the real question is, does SHE understand why? She asks if he wants to hear her say that it's not that Stephanie and Taylor are strong, but that Ridge is weak. That's a start, he says. She tells him that she's trying not to hate Ridge; she hopes he's OK with that. Nick says he is, but she shouldn't expect him to feel the same.

Dante listens to Taylor explain about him to Ridge.
At Ridge's house, Dante tells Ridge that he's putting his wife on the spot. Ridge says he's just asking for the full story from someone he trusts. Taylor asks him to imagine waking up after a long time in a strange place and being called by a name that's not his: that's how it was for her, until she met Dante. Prince Omar held her in the palace and kept telling her that she was "Princess Laila," but she knew she wasn't, and that she had a family to get back to. She was scared, but Dante risked his life to help her escape. She looks to Dante and says that she's sorry she was so rude earlier. She then asks Ridge to forgive her for not telling him about Dante: it's just that what they shared was so secret. Ridge says he's heard enough. He turns to Dante and extends his hand, thanking the artist for helping to reunite his family. Dante says it was his pleasure and mentions that he already knew another Forrester, Bridget. Taylor asks why he never told her that. In Europe, Dante explains, it's bad form to talk about one woman to another. Besides, he knew Bridget before he met her, and by the time he made the connection, he wanted to focus on getting her home. He then says it's time for him to leave; Taylor thanks him for everything and he leaves. Once he's gone, Ridge tells Taylor that he sees what she went through now and hugs her.

Ridge tells Taylor that he wanted tonight to be special.
Taylor mentions to Ridge that he wasn't with Brooke for very long. He says Brooke wasn't there. Just then, the phone rings: it's Stephanie. Ridge asks his mom why she's up so late. She says she had a number of visitors, including Brooke. So Brooke knows about him and Taylor renewing their vows, Ridge realizes. Stephanie tells him that she has to thank him for saving her life and giving her a reason to live. With that, she'll let him go, since it is his wedding night. He tells her to get some rest and hangs up. So Brooke knows, Taylor says, having overheard. Ridge says this isn't quite how he wanted her to find out. Taylor says she's going to bed. Ridge starts to say something, but Taylor says that she understands that he has to see Brooke. But he wanted tonight to be special, Ridge says. Taylor reminds him that they always have tomorrow, and every other night for the rest of their lives. She kisses him and turns to leave. Ridge says that he doesn't even know where to start looking for Brooke, but Taylor doesn't think Brooke will make herself too hard to find.

Brooke doesn't want to talk to Ridge.
Brooke is unpacking some boxes when her cell phone rings. Nick comes in with another box and offers to answer it; Brooke doesn't say anything, so he answers and finds that it's Ridge, asking for Brooke. Nick says that she's with him, and he's taking care of her. Sure he is, Ridge responds. He demands to know where Brooke is. Nick says he'll give him fifty guesses. Ridge orders Nick to put Brooke on. Nick tells Brooke that Ridge wants to talk to her, but she shakes her head no. Nick tells Ridge that Brooke doesn't want to talk to him but thanks him for his concern. He tells "Forrester" that he made his bed, so go sleep in it - if he can. Nick then hangs up and tells Brooke that he knows that couldn't have been easy. Brooke says it's too late for explanations. Nick goes to get some more boxes.

Taylor finds a gift Ridge gave to Brooke.
At Ridge's house, Taylor looks around the master bedroom. She sees a jewelry box on the nightstand and opens it up, and she finds the necklace that Ridge gave Brooke that was inscribed, "More than yesterday, not as much as tomorrow." Ridge comes in and says he gave that to Brooke a long time ago [although it was only a few months ago]. Taylor apologizes; she thought he was leaving. He tells her that he called Brooke's cell phone and Nick answered. Nick wouldn't tell him where they were, but he guesses they're on Nick's boat. Taylor asks him what Brooke said. He tells her that Brooke wouldn't talk to him; he guesses that Brooke isn't going to make this easy. Taylor says that she just wanted to find someplace to put some things. Ridge says that she should bring her things there, as this is her room. It's THEIR room. She goes to put the stuff away and opens a drawer, finding it filled with Brooke's lingerie. She puts her things in and starts to leave. Ridge tells her not to go, but she says that she wants it to be right. Ridge says that he loves her: he knows that much is right, and he kisses her passionately.

Is this B&B, or 24?
The scene shifts back and forth from Brooke's house to Ridge's bedroom. Brooke puts out some pictures as Ridge and Taylor make love in their bed. Brooke drops a photo of her beach wedding to Ridge, and the glass breaks. Ridge and Taylor are still making love as Brooke tries to pick up the glass. She grows frustrated and throws the photo at the fireplace, and she starts to cry. Back at Ridge's, Taylor lies in bed next to Ridge; she falls asleep as Ridge stares into space.
Then, in the style of the TV show "24," a three way montage comes to the screen. While Brooke cries in one frame, Ridge lies in bed with a sleeping Taylor in another. Above them, the third frame shows Stephanie in bed in the hospital, smiling.
