Bridget catches up with an old friend.
Bridget is at the Bikini Beach bar. She recalls Nick telling Brooke that she, Hope and RJ are the most important things in his life now. Dante comes up and asks if she's dreaming of him. She greets him with a hug and tells him how surprised she was to hear from him. She told him to look her up if he was in the States, he reminds her - and in fact, he explains, he was going to leave last night, but he had to call her first. He recalls Massimo asking him to show a serious wallflower of a med student around Rome, but he was pleased to see that she was the opposite. It was good to get away from her problems, she recalls, but the timing for her to have a liaison with a handsome Italian painter just wasn't right. He sees her engagement ring and guesses it's from some lucky guy. Yeah, she half-heartedly replies. He asks why she's so sad. She explains that her mom's husband just left her. He says he's sorry. She says it's not his fault, but he says it is, since he helped Taylor escape from Prince Omar's palace!

Dante asks Bridget if Nick's really the man for her.
Dante says he's sorry her mom was hurt. That was Ridge's decision, she says. He tells her that he met Ridge last night and thinks he's a bit like Massimo. He also went over to Massimo's and met Mass's wife, and her fiance. He thinks Nick is an interesting guy. She says that Nick, despite his exterior, has a warm and genuine heart. But does he make her happy? Dante asks, especially since he suspects Nick is the man she told him about that was once involved with her mother. He thinks she's lying to herself if she thinks she can love a man like that. She tells him that she and Nick are very much in love. Then where is he now? Dante asks. He'd be here in a heartbeat if he knew his fiancee was with a cute flirt, she quips. Dante tells her that she's still young, so she should give other men a chance before rushing into marriage. Bridget asks if he's hitting on an engaged lady. He replies that he would never be so presumptuous - but then again, when the woman is as beautiful as she is... He kisses her.

Ridge tells his mother that he's had it with her interference.
Ridge drops by the hospital and is glad to see Stephanie doing well. She says she has him to thank, since he saved her life by reuniting with Taylor. She's sure the children were thrilled when they heard. It depends on which children she's talking about, he says. If he means Hope and RJ, she says, he shouldn't worry, since she'll help make sure they're loved. No, Ridge says, she won't, because he's had it with her interference. That's why he's ordering her to stay out of his life, or else! Stephanie asks why he's so upset, when his reuniting with Taylor has healed the family, especially her. That's just it, Ridge says: it was about her when it wasn't supposed to be! He went to the beach house to clear his head, but she showed up there not once, but twice. She reminds him that Brooke was the one who broke the rules. But they were HIS rules, he says, and it was HIS decision. But she came to there to bash Brooke, and that brought her attack on after she worked herself up. He was so scared that she was dying and his decision stopped being about his family. Once again, the most important decision in his life was about her!

Stephanie tells Ridge that Brooke got what she deserved.
Stephanie reminds Ridge that she had a heart attack. But she shouldn't have even been there, he says. He thinks about all the times he defended her, when people called her controlling, obsessive and manipulative, and he starts to wonder if those people were right. He felt manipulated, rather than elated, when he renewed his vows, because he was consumed by what she needed. She reminds him that she didn't force him to choose Taylor. But she took advantage of him, he says. She thinks that's his guilt over not choosing Brooke talking. He tells her that the only guilt he feels is from letting her treat Brooke the way she does. He thinks Brooke deserves better. She thinks Brooke got what she deserved. He says that's what he means: it's all about her hatred for Brooke. She tells him to focus on the peace in this family now that he's back with Taylor. He says that he sees things very clearly now, and he just hopes it's not too late to fix things. Stephanie tells him not to do anything foolish as he turns to the door and leaves.

A newly coiffed Taylor gives Nick her take on her situation.
Nick drops by Ridge's Bel Air home to see Taylor and sees that she got a haircut. She says that she needed a change. If he's here to see Ridge, she says, he's not here. Nick tells her that he's here to see her, the "queen of the castle" who would steal a father from his children. She tells him that Ridge isn't abandoning RJ and Hope, but he thinks they both know a part-time dad doesn't work. But he guesses she doesn't care, since she doesn't think Brooke's kids deserve the chance her's had, to have both parents under one roof. But it's not healthy if their father's heart belongs to another woman, she says. Speaking of which, she finds it interesting that right after Ridge chose her, Nick rushed to play the hero to Brooke. He tells her to lose the psychobabble, as this isn't about him. She asks if he thinks he had to protect Brooke, like he did that night in the foundry. That's in the past, he says. But he can think of another story that seems quite mysterious and asks what she knows about Dante Damiano. She's surprised he knows Dante. He reminds her that Dante knows his old man. They met last night - but when her name came up, Dante claimed not to know her! Taylor explains how Dante saved her from Prince Omar. She guesses that he doesn't want to talk about that to protect her. Does Forrester know? Nick asks. Yes, she says, Ridge met Dante last night. She's sorry to disappoint him, but there's no secret there. She and Dante are just friends.

Nick hints to "Doc" Forrester that her best friend might be faking.
Speaking of friends, Nick says, Dante's not the only one riding to her rescue, since her best pal Stephanie pretended she was dying just to force Ridge into choosing her. Taylor can't believe he's accusing Stephanie of faking. Nick reminds her that Stephanie didn't call an ambulance; instead. she had Ridge drive her to University Hospital, which is 30 minutes away, instead of someplace local. He wonders if that's because Stephanie is chummy with University's staff - and then, as soon as she hears her son renew his vows with his beloved Taylor, Stephanie's cheeks get all rosy. Taylor accuses Brooke of putting these ideas in Nick's head, but Nick asks why she's always throwing it off on Brooke. He thinks about how Stephanie talks about the healing of HER Forrester family, with good triumphing over evil. He thinks it's evil that Stephanie would force her son to do things her way. Taylor tells Nick that his having feelings for Brooke that he won't admit to doesn't give him the right to make these sick accusations. Ridge chose her because he wanted to, she says. Go ahead and defend the old broad, Nick says as he turns to leave. He asks her to think about how far her best friend would go for her as he leaves.

Taylor calls Stephanie and asks how she is. Stephanie says she's OK but senses something wrong. Taylor tells her that Nick was here, making the most absurd accusations. She tells Stephanie that Nick accused her of faking her heart attack, to influence Ridge. Isn't that ridiculous? she asks.

Thorne checks up on Brooke.
Thorne drops by Brooke's house to check on her. She asks if he's there to report back to Ridge. He says he hasn't seen Ridge since... Since Ridge and Taylor renewed their vows, she guesses. He tells her that he stood up for Ridge; she asks if that was Stephanie's doing, too, just like she used her "heart attack" to get Ridge to recommit to Taylor. Thorne tells her that she has it wrong; sure, they got caught up in the moment because of his mother's condition, but he thinks Ridge made a decision he thought was right. But he did it without thinking of what it would do to their children, Brooke says, and now it's too late. Thorne says he knows how she feels; she tells him not to lecture her. She'd love for Ridge to walk through that door now and say he made a mistake, but she's not going to wait around for that to happen. She's going to move on, instead of waiting in limbo for Ridge to take off his blinders where Stephanie is concerned.

Brooke is stunned to see Ridge at her door.
After Thorne leaves, Ridge comes to the door. He pounds on it and calls out to "Logan" that he has to see her. Brooke opens the door and asks what he wants. He says that he made a mistake. He shouldn't have listened to his mother. She asks what he's saying. He tells a stunned Brooke that he made a mistake, a horrendous mistake.
