Jackie wonders why her son is so suspicious of Dante.
At the Marone mansion, Nick keeps looking at Dante's sketch of Taylor. Jackie comes downstairs and raves about how talented Dante is. Nick however thinks it's too coincidental that Dante drew such a detailed sketch of Taylor and then took off as soon as Taylor's name was mentioned. Jackie reminds him that Taylor's face has been all over the news, and that Dante had a plane to catch, so she can't understand her son's suspicions. Nick thinks Dante took the whole situation too personally. Before they can say any more, Nick gets a calls from Bridget. He asks "is she alright?" and then asks about Brooke. After hearing Bridget's answer, he says he'll be right there and hangs up. Jackie asks what's wrong; he tells her that Stephanie had a heart attack and says he'll call her later as he rushes out.

Stephanie gasps for air.
In Stephanie's hospital room, Brooke holds the ventilator tube in her hand as Stephanie gasps for air. Brooke asks if that's the best Stephanie can do at being convincing. Stephanie starts to perspire and keeps gasping for air. Brooke says that's quite a performance; she almost believes now that Stephanie had a heart attack, but she's sure that this is just an act. As Stephanie's heart rate rises, and alarm sounds. Mark and some nurses run in. As the nurses call out a "Code Blue" and tend to Stephanie's breathing, a shocked Brooke realizes that this was for real! Mark asks what happened. Brooke says she doesn't know; it was an accident. Mark asks her to leave. Brooke insists that she didn't do anything, but Stephanie mutters, "tried to kill me." Mark calls for some orderlies to get Brooke out. Brooke tries to explain, but the nurses escort her out. As Mark works on Stephanie's ventilator, the camera focuses on Stephanie, who is smiling.
As two orderlies escort Brooke to security, she tells them that this is all a mistake. As one of the orderlies asks Brooke if she turned off Mrs. Forrester's ventilator, Nick arrives. Brooke tries to explain, but the orderlies tell her to explain it to security. Nick flashes his wallet quickly and tells the orderlies that he's "Detective Jones" and asks if this is the woman who assaulted the patient. He tells them to carry on saving patients while he takes this cute little thing down to security.

Nick tries to get Brooke to decide what she'll do next.
Nick takes Brooke to her mansion, where all the furniture is covered (probably since Rick moved to Milan). Nick notes how quiet she was in the car coming over and asks what happened. She tells him that she was so sure that was just another act, like all the others Stephanie has pulled over the years. He asks if she means the heart attack. She says yes and asks if he blames her. He guesses not and asks why she's here. She tells him that Ridge and Taylor renewed their vows tonight at Stephanie's bedside, and now she feels lost and alone. Nick tries to comfort her and asks what Ridge said to her. She says that she hasn't even spoken to him. Then how does she know? he asks. Brooke looks at him, and he realizes that Stephanie told her. Now he knows why she pulled out that ventilator hose, she says. Nick can't believe that Ridge would turn his back on Brooke and her kids. Brooke tells him that Stephanie and Taylor ganged up on Ridge, but Nick's not buying that: Ridge is a big boy, he reminds her, and should know how Stephanie operates. He thinks Hope and RJ deserved better. What they deserve, Brooke says, is to grow up living with their father. She's sure Ridge wouldn't turn his back on the kids if it not for Stephanie.
Nick tells Brooke that he doesn't want to hear the name "Stephanie" again. Now that Ridge chose Taylor, he urges Brooke to search her soul and figure out where she goes from here. He wonders if this is the best place for her. Where else is she going to go? she asks. She can't go home, since that's Ridge and Taylor's home now, and they're going to raise their children there while Ridge makes love to Taylor in her bed. Nick tells her that it will be OK, but she doesn't see how that's possible. Stephanie got what she wanted, Brooke laments, and now Ridge and Taylor will live happily ever after. She wonders how she could ever even think that she could compete with someone as perfect as "St. Taylor." Nick softly tells her that nobody is a saint.

Bridget is stunned by what Stephanie tells her.
Bridget stops by Stephanie's hospital room and finds Stephanie sleeping. She wakes Stephanie and asks if she's OK, since she looks pale. Stephanie says she's fine. Bridget's glad to hear that and asks if her mom was there, since she knows Brooke came here looking for Ridge and Taylor. Brooke was too late, Stephanie says; Ridge chose Taylor and they renewed their vows right here in a lovely ceremony. Bridget can't believe it and asks how Ridge could do this to her mom. Stephanie says it was the right decision. Of course she'd say that, Bridget says, guessing that Stephanie got what she wanted. Ridge made his own decision, Stephanie says. Bridget asks if her mom knows about this. Stephanie says she does. Bridget hopes that her mom didn't walk in on the ceremony. She didn't, Stephanie says. Bridget guesses that Stephanie was still more than happy to tell Brooke when she arrived. Stephanie says that Brooke wanted to know. Bridget thinks her mother must have been devastated and wonders if they argued. They did, Stephanie says - and in fact, Brooke got a little crazy and tried to kill her! Bridget is shocked.

Taylor's upset to see that Dante is back.
On the terrace at Ridge's Bel Air mansion, Ridge and Taylor are still going at it, but Taylor reminds him that he needs to talk to Brooke. Ridge guesses that Brooke deserves to hear the news from him. Taylor tells him to go, before she won't be able to let him go, so Ridge reluctantly goes upstairs. Taylor walks into the living room and picks up a recent picture of her family. She smiles, but she's interrupted by a knock at the door. It's Dante. He says that he doesn't want to upset her, but he needs to talk to her before he leaves. She says that she's not upset, but this isn't a good time, as she and her husband renewed their vows tonight. Dante says that's just what he wanted to hear; he's happy for her, and he hopes that she'll just drop him a line from time to time to let him know how she's doing. Taylor seems surprised that he's leaving. He says that he's headed for the airport right now. He wishes her the best and says he'll never forget her. Just then, Ridge comes down and asks who this guy is.

Dante tries to cover with Ridge...
Dante sees Ridge and guesses he's finally having the pleasure of meeting Taylor's husband. Ridge again asks Dante who he is. This is Dante, Taylor says. Dante adds that he's an old friend of Massimo's. Ridge finds that odd, since his father never mentioned Dante. Dante says that he lives in Italy and was only here a short time on business. In fact, he's leaving tonight, but after Massimo told him about Ridge and Taylor's good fortune, he had to stop by and wish them well. Dante turns to leave, but Ridge tells him not to be so hasty. He wants to know the real reason Dante is here, a reason Ridge suspects has to do with his wife!

...but Ridge still wants answers.
Dante asks who wouldn't want to meet Taylor, as she's a living, breathing miracle. Ridge agrees, but that still doesn't answer his question. Taylor steps in and admits to Ridge that she knows Dante. When she was in Morocco, Prince Omar hired Dante to sculpt her and paint a portrait of her. Omar wanted to "capture Laila's exquisite beauty on canvas and in clay for all eternity," Dante explains. So Omar just wanted to remember her? Ridge asks. Taylor explains that she was confused when she came out of her coma. Everyone was calling her "Princess Laila," but Dante realized that she had a life and family elsewhere and helped her escape. They owe him a debt of gratitude for helping her get back to her family, Taylor says. That's quite a story, Ridge says, and that makes him wonder why she hasn't even mentioned Dante until now. He gets the feeling there's more going on. Taylor tries to get him off to the side alone, but Ridge tells her no: he's not going anywhere until he gets some answers!
