Hector is stunned when Priscilla shows up at his home.
At the Ramirez home, Hector finds some brochures on the table and looks them over. Samantha comes down and is surprised to see that he's not at the firehouse. He reminds her that the kids are over at friends' tonight, so he thought he'd take advantage of the chance to be alone with her. He asks her about the brochures, for champagne fountains and butterfly releases for a wedding; he didn't think that was her style. Looking uncomfortable, Sam says she's hungry and suggests they go to Don's for a chili dog. But she hates Don's, Hector points out. She assures him she really wants a chili dog and rushes him out the door - and right into her mother, Priscilla, just arrived from Paris! Hector asks what she's doing here; Priscilla replies that she was invited, to help with the wedding plans, but Hector doesn't believe her. Sam explains that she and her mom have been talking. She says that Priscilla is sorry for what she did and wants to make up for it by helping to plan the wedding. With champagne fountains and butterfly releases, Hector guesses - but he wants no part of it. In fact, he wants Priscilla out of his house NOW!

Samantha explains that Priscilla wants to make peace.
Priscilla assures Hector she wants to make amends, and she's not about to leave her daughter alone with someone as controlling as he is. Hector says that she's the one who's controlling, and he's not about to let her buy her way into their lives. Priscilla asks if he's speaking for Sam as well as himself, since she hears that happens a lot. Sam tells her mom to stop, but Priscilla won't stand by and watch Hector make choices for her daughter. Sam tells them both to stop: there's no reason to argue, since she's finally happy with her family and her daughter. Speaking of their daughter, Hector asks if Priscilla's spoken to Caitlin. Sam says no. And she's not going to, Hector insists: he won't make Caitlin face the woman who kept her from her mother for years! Priscilla says she has a lot to offer Caitlin, but Hector says Caitlin doesn't need anything from her. So he's making decisions for Caitlin, too? Pris asks. Sam tells her mom again to stop. Priscilla apologizes; she knows she said she'd be supportive, but it's obvious Hector doesn't care about what Sam wants, and she won't stand for that.

Clarke and Sally realize their fate is in Brooke's hands.
At Spectra, Clarke finds Sally getting spruced up. She tells “Bucky” that she went to deposit her $50 million dollar check and ran into Janine Liebowitz, the bank president's wife, who invited her to join her very exclusive Beverly Hills Women's Auxiliary. She wants to look her best for the gala tonight for the new recruits. She's pleased to be respectable now, and she has Thorne and her design team to thank. A design team that might soon be in jail, Clarke says. Sally asks what he means, so he tells her about Amber's plan to get dirt on Ridge at Big Bear. Sally is furious: she can't believe that Amber would trap Ridge and Bridget in a mine, but she's even more shocked that Clarke would be a part of it. He says he had no choice; in fact, he kept his hands clean and may have kept Amber from getting in even deeper. Sally doesn't think people will agree when it looks like her design team tried to bump off Ridge Forrester. But Amber got a photo of Ridge kissing Bridget on the lips, Clarke tells her - and when she showed the photo to Ridge, he said he was going to show it to Brooke and then turn Amber into the police. Sally can't believe Ridge would be crazy enough to show Brooke that photo. They agree that the future of Spectra might depend on whether Amber can convince Brooke that what Ridge did is worse than what she did.

A tearful Amber is in her car, remembering Ridge's threats to turn her into the police. She tells herself that Ridge is the one who will be in trouble once Brooke sees that photo. Just then, she hears a siren and fears that Ridge already called the police. But when the car passes her, she realizes she's safe for now. She says she better get to Brooke before it's too late.

Ridge tries to explain the photo to a stunned, tearful Brooke.
At Ridge's house, Brooke asks Ridge about the photo in his hand. He explains that he and Bridget were both victims of Amber's twisted plot. Brooke says she can never forgive Amber for that. But there's more, Ridge says. Amber hid a camera in the mine and watched him and Bridget freezing to death, hoping to catch them doing something ugly. This photo is what she got - but this was just goodbye. He hands Brooke the photo; she looks at it and gasps in shock! Ridge tries to tell her that he was just saying goodbye to Bridget when he thought she was dying. They were trapped, with no way out. He was helpless watching Bridget slip away, and all he could do was make sure she knew that she was loved. That he loved her? Brooke asks. That they all loved her, he says. So he was comforting Bridget, Brooke says - by kissing her on the lips?! Ridge tries to explain, but she reminds him how he promised never to cross that line again. Now he did, and he betrayed her! He says that's just what Amber wants her to think, but she has to believe that the feelings Amber says were there don't exist. He tells Brooke that she's the only one he's in love with. When he and Bridget were trapped, all they talked about was their love for Brooke and how much Bridget wanted him to come home to their family. He promises there was nothing sexual between them.

Brooke tells Ridge to stop. She trusted him when he promised never to cross that line again, yet here he is in this photo, kissing her daughter. He says she has every right to be upset, but he thinks she should be furious with Amber, not him or Bridget. Just then, Amber waltzes right in the front door [I guess Ridge uses the same shoddy locksmith as his parents do - or don't they know how to lock doors in Beverly Hills and Bel Air?]. Brooke asks Amber if she's responsible for this. Amber says she is, but she did it for Brooke. Ridge tells Amber to get out, but Brooke says she wants her to stay. She then turns to Amber and slaps her in the face! Amber says she deserved that, since she still can't forget how close Bridget came to... She pleads with Brooke to believe that she knew the moment in the photo was coming. She saw the way Bridget and Ridge were looking at each other, but maybe she should have found another way... Maybe? Brooke asks. She thinks Amber must be insane for nearly killing her daughter!

Amber tries to convince Brooke that Ridge's betrayal is worse than her's.
Ridge tells Brooke to stop, as Amber's not worth it. No, Amber argues, he's the one who's not worth Brooke's love, and the photo proves it! Ridge says the photo only proves how desperate she is. Amber turns to Brooke. She says she knows what Ridge wants Brooke to believe, that she only did this out of spite. But that's not true. The only one she wanted to hurt was Ridge, because he kept crucifying her when he in fact was the real real problem in the Forrester family. She reminds Brooke of Ridge's promise not to cross the line; this picture proves how he broke that promise. She accepts that she might have to go to jail for what she did, but even if she does, she'll have the satisfaction of knowing that she exposed Ridge for who he really is. She hopes Brooke will see how Ridge betrayed her in the worst way: as bad as what she did was, Amber says, what Ridge did was so much worse. A tearful Brooke turns away from Amber and looks at Ridge as we fade to black.
