Heather tells Deacon to fight.
At Jackie M, Heather brings Deacon some coffee, but he can't get past how he failed Jackie. He thinks he must be a loser to ruin the great life he has by falling off the wagon. Heather says he's not a loser. He thanks her for her loyalty and wants to reward her with some advice: he thinks she should quit and find another job before her boss Dr. Jekyll gets replaced by Mr. Hyde. She says she can't imagine that. He says she doesn't want to; Jackie didn't, either, which is why it sacred the hell out of her to see just a glimpse of his inner demon, the one he thought he beat years ago. Heather says he can beat that demon again. But he didn't beat him the first time, Deacon says! He only thought he did, and now that guy might drag Jackie down with him. He refuses to let that happen. And besides, what good will fighting do when it's not going to last? Looking guilty over what she's done, Heather says he can't mean that. He says he can, and he does. He's tired of fighting. He looks at a picture of him and Jackie, and he asks himself what he's thinking. He can't believe he was ready to give up on the best thing that ever happened to him. He remembers how Jackie used to say that they could do anything together. She was right, and that's how he's going to beat this thing. He's going to do it for Jackie.

Nick urges Jackie not to pass up the chance to reunite her family.
At the beach house, Nick continues to urge Jackie to come home to Massimo. She reminds him that Mass asked her to leave. Because he was hurt and angry, Nick says. But Deacon was there for her when no one else was, Jackie states. He may not be perfect, but he doesn't expect her to be either, and she can't just turn her back on him. Nick can't believe she'd turn her back on the love of her life for a rebound thing with Deacon. Jackie admits she'll always love Massimo, but she loves Deacon, too. Nick doesn't think she feels love for Deacon, which is why he urges her to grab onto this last chance with Massimo and reunite this family. Jackie assures him that she cares about the family: in fact, she probably cared too much when she kept secrets so he could be happy with Brooke. Nick recalls that and tells his mother that there might be another woman in his life. She asks who it is, but he's not ready to tell her because of the strain in their family, a strain that he doesn't think will go away with Deacon around. That's why he wants her to see the life she could have. Jackie takes responsibility for the strain in the family. Nick says there's plenty of blame to go around, but he doesn't want to talk about that. He wants to talk about putting it back together, which she can do if she goes back to Massimo. But it's too late, Jackie laments.

Deacon listens to Nick and Jackie's talk.
Deacon comes in the house through the kitchen and hears Jackie and Nick talking. He listens as Jackie tells Nick that she misses him and his father, but Deacon needs her, just like she needed him. She's not going to abandon him. Nick accuses her of thinking that she's made her bed, so she has to sleep in it now. But she doesn't have to. If she can only forgive herself for the mistakes she's made, the old man will take her back and everything will fall into place. She says this is her life now. But it doesn't have to be, Nick says. There's a better life waiting for her, and he's begging her to grab it while she still has a chance. Jackie admits she was happy when they and Massimo were a family, but Deacon needs her now. She couldn't live with herself if she just left him this way. Nick reminds her that she only has a small window of opportunity. Massimo wants her back, but Nick isn't sure how long the old man will keep that door open. He knows it's a hard decision to make, which is why he's here to help make it easier. But in the end, she has to make the decision.

Ridge approves of Brooke's outfit.
In Ridge and Brooke's bedroom, they're dressing for a night out at the Cafe Russe. While tying his tie, Ridge comes up behind Brooke and admires her skimpy pink lingerie with black trim. He comes up behind her, kisses her neck and says the dress code at Cafe Russe has gotten lax, and he approves. Brooke warns him that he'll spoil his appetite, but he says he'll always be hungry for this, and so will she. As they start kissing, Brooke removes Ridge's tie and shirt and lowers him to the bed.

Clarke tells Amber how to get back at Ridge.
At Spectra, Clarke finds Amber in his office, looking intently at her work on his table. He's glad to see her working so hard until he sees that she's still messing with her photo album. Actually, she tells him, she just went to give it to Ridge, who spat in her face and laughed at her claims of wanting peace in the family. Clarke's not surprised and advises her to let this go, but Amber can't. She refuses to stand by while the Forresters think she, and not Ridge, is the danger to their family. He reminds her that she trapped Ridge and Bridget in a mineshaft. She had to to vindicate herself, she says. But her plan failed, Clarke reminds her; she expected sparks to fly between Ridge and Bridget in that shaft and nothing happened. This happened, she says, showing him the photo. He tells her to give that to him,. but she says she needs this to prove that she's not the joke Ridge claims she is. Thanks to this photo, she'll have the last laugh. He reminds her that Ridge and Bridget almost died in that mine shaft. But they didn't, she says. Clarke says he knows how she feels, since the Forresters never thought he was good enough for Kristen, or for their company. But he found the best revenge was to be a success and prove them wrong. And proving them wrong is just what she's going to do with this photo, Amber gloats.

Thomas gives Amber a call.
Clarke tries to stop Amber, but her cell phone rings; it's Thomas. He says he heard about the photo album. and he thinks it was a sweet gesture. He's just sorry that she has to keep getting hurt. She tells him that his dad can't keep her down, and she's sure she'll win Ridge over yet. He invites her to meet him at Insomnia for coffee. Won't his dad freak out? she asks. Actually, Thomas says, he's with Brooke at Cafe Russe. She says she doesn't want to put him in the middle - and besides, she wants him forever, not just for an hour. He thinks it'll be good for her to get out. She tells him that she's sure things will work out for them more than ever and tells him to hang in there. He tells her to hang in there, too. Amber then hangs up and tells Clarke that Ridge and Brooke are at Cafe Russe. He hopes she's not saying she wants to go there to show them that photo album. She says she doesn't want to waste any more time. Ridge needs a lesson he'll never forget. She bolts out; Clarke tells her to wait for him.

Ridge admires Brooke's courage.
At the Cafe Russe, Ridge and Brooke share champagne. Ridge toasts to never taking their lives for granted and always celebrating their life together. Brooke toasts to them and their family. And that family has come together, Ridge says, especially after that near crisis with Bridget. Brooke is just grateful that they're all OK. Ridge is grateful for that, too, but he's also grateful for her courage in how she handled the situation with him and Bridget and the photo that Amber took of them in their living room. She could have easily swept it under the rug, but she confronted it instead. She's glad it's out in the open, too, even though it took Amber to make that happen.

While Clarke watches, Amber waits to drop her bombshell.
Across the room, Clarke and Amber are shown to a table by Jerry the Maitre d'. Clarke tells Amber that she can't do this in public, no matter how badly she wants to see Ridge eat crow, but she says she knows what she's doing. She thinks it should be her and Thomas over there instead of Brooke and Ridge, but for Ridge standing in her way. Clarke says she still can't do this, no matter how pompous Ridge is, but she refuses to sacrifice her happiness for Ridge's for even one second.
Over at Brooke and Ridge's table, Brooke tells Ridge that she didn't feel very brave asking him if he had feelings for Bridget. She thinks about how their entire history could have been rewritten with just one word from him. But thanks to Amber, Ridge says, they faced it, and it's over. He promises never to let her fall ever again. Across the room, Amber watches and says that Ridge better enjoy this time will he can, since these will be the last carefree moments he spends with his wife.
