Felicia is sure her baby will be fine with Nick and Bridget.
At the hospital, a grateful Felicia thanks Bridget for agreeing to raise Dominick once she's gone. Bridget says she's the one who should be thanking Felicia for this incredible gift. She admits that she didn't think she could do it when Felicia first asked. But then she saw how happy Nick was being with his son, and it was like her heart opened up for Dominick. Felicia picks up the baby and says she felt the same way when he was born. She's relieved to know that her son will be OK. Bridget tells Felicia not to worry about that. She just wants Felicia to enjoy every minute she has with her son. Felicia says she intends to do that, which is why she refused the chemo. Bridget just hopes she can be a good mom to Dominick. Felicia says she will, but Bridget is unsure. She wants Dominick to know all about his mom, but even though they're half-sisters, there are so many little things she doesn't know about Felicia. She wants to spend time with Felicia and Dominick so she can learn what their favorite things are and see how they interact. Felicia doesn't think it will matter, since Dominick is young and won't remember those things. Bridget wants to make sure that Felicia is more to Dominick than just a photo on the piano. In that case, Felicia says, she'll tell Bridget anything she wants to know. Bridget wants to make one thing clear: she knows she can never replace Felicia in Dominick's heart, so she isn't even going to try. As far as she's concerned, Felicia is entrusting Dominick to Nick and her, so Dominick is and always will be Felicia's son.

Stephanie laments that this won't be a perfect Christmas.
At the Forrester mansion, Stephanie makes some cocoa while Eric trims the tree, trying to show his ex- what can be done with a little imagination. She laments that this won't be a perfect Christmas. Not with that attitude, he says. Stephanie asks how they wound up together; Eric says she fell for his free-spirited sense of creativity. Stephanie agrees that she stayed grounded so he could put his head in the clouds. Exactly, he says; he could create since she cared for their home and family. She says she hasn't done that very well lately, with their kids at odds, and with the house being empty until Felicia came home. It won't be empty on Christmas, Eric says. But it will be again soon after, Stephanie fears, because Felicia will... She pauses and laments that all the decorations in the world can't fix that. But they can honoring Felicia's wishes, Eric says, by making these next few weeks memorable for her. Stephanie doesn't think she wants to remember this Christmas, but Eric thinks Felicia would want them to, for the baby. He thinks Felicia got that from Stephanie. He then puts on some holiday music and sits on the sofa with Stephanie, who stares at him. He asks what's wrong; she says she owes him an apology. He reminds her that they both made mistakes. But Felicia's illness puts it in perspective, she says. Eric doesn't think Felicia needs to see her parents arguing about the company, but Stephanie thinks it's about more than just the business. Eric guesses that they could have avoided a lot of their troubles had he not married Brooke, and he doesn't think Stephanie has forgiven him for that. Stephanie thinks they should put everything aside for now, for Felicia's sake, and try to be civil to each other. Eric doesn't think they're doing such a bad job of that.
Stephanie asks Eric if he heard from Bridget; he says he hasn't. She wonders how things went last night, Eric hopes it went well, but he doesn't think they should bother Nick or Bridget right now. He thinks they need time alone with the baby to start bonding. Stephanie wonders if Bridget will say yes; Eric hopes so, for Felicia's sake. Of course, Stephanie says, even if Bridget says no, the baby can still have a wonderful home.

Eric meets his new grandson.
Eric asks if she means here with her, since she can't raise her grandson alone. Like he was a big help with the kids, she says. Eric concedes her point, but he thinks one can always learn from one's mistakes. Just then, Felicia arrives with Dominick. Stephanie asks Felicia why she didn't call to be picked up; Felicia says she took a cab, since she and Dominick wanted to get back home. Eric thinks the boy was excited about meeting his Grandpa and takes the baby. He's so excited that he's ready to sleep, Stephanie quips. That, Eric tells the baby, is Grandma and her sarcasm, which Dominick will have to get used to. He sits with the baby on the sofa as Felicia says she's surprised to see him here. He came to help decorate the tree, Stephanie says, and he was even ready to pick the baby up at the beach house. Felicia explains that Bridget brought Dominick to the hospital this morning. Stephanie asks if that means the baby won't be staying at the beach house. It means, Felicia says, that Dominick will stay with her as long as he can - and then he'll go live with Nick and Bridget. Stephanie smiles, and she and Eric are pleased. Eric then gives Stephanie the baby so he can bring Bridget some eggnog, which is as foul tasting as Felicia remembered. A few cups of that will make her cancer free, she jokes. Felicia notices Stephanie looking sad and tells her mom that it's OK to laugh. Stephanie says she knows. Eric goes over to Felicia, then Stephanie, and says they each deal with it in their own way. Felicia thinks this is too much for her parents, but Stephanie says it isn't, since they have to laugh and cry. She's just glad to have Felicia back here with the baby. Felicia says she's glad, too, kissing her mom and then hugging her parents.

Nick hopes that Bridget agrees to Felicia's wishes.
At the beach house, Nick guesses that Brooke came not just to see Dominick, but out of concern for Bridget. Can't he imagine what it will be like for Bridget to raise another woman's child? Brooke asks. Nick says he doesn't have to, since he knows what it's like because of Hope. He treated Hope like his own, he points out. Brooke reminds him of everything Bridget has been through. Nick reminds her that plans change, but that doesn't mean feelings do. He points out that his relationship with Hope never changed, even with all the changes they've been through, and he thinks the same thing can happen for Bridget and his son. Brooke concedes that they CAN happen, but she doesn't want to assume that they will. Nick says that he's learned this past year not to assume anything. But he's hoping, Brooke guesses. Nick admits that he wants his son to live here as part of his family. A family he's committed to with Bridget, Brooke says. Nick points out that Bridget as a lot of love in her, more than Brooke might give her credit for. After all, he reminds her, Bridget forgave them both. Brooke says that's her point: it wasn't easy, but after everything they put Bridget through, Bridget overcame her past.

Brooke worries about Bridget having to make this choice.
Nick asks Brooke why she thinks Bridget can't do this. Bridget shouldn't have to, Brooke says. And Felicia shouldn't have cancer, Nick says, and Dominick shouldn't lose his mother. It's not easy for any of them. Brooke is just worried that this could affect his marriage. Nick says it won't. Brooke asks how he knows; he says he knows Bridget, and he knows his son; he doesn't think any woman can resist that boy. Like father, like son, Brooke says. Nick thinks that his son will win Bridget over eventually, and when that happens, it will even hold their family together. Walking over to the window, Nick thinks about how happy his son makes him. He admits to Brooke that he never thought he'd recover when he found out that RJ wasn't his son, and that he wasn't going to be a father to Hope. And now, Brooke says, not only does he have a daughter on the way, but he has a son. Nick tells her that he thought it was going to be her. Brooke is glad to see him so excited, but she has to admit that she's also worried about Bridget. Nick says that Bridget wants him to be happy. But does she share in that happiness? Brooke asks.

Bridget thinks Dominick will change her and Nick's lives for the better.
Bridget comes in; Nick greets her and says that her mom came over to see Dominick. Bridget says he's with Felicia, as she wants Dominick to spend as much time as he can with his mother before she and Nick become the baby's parents. His parents? Nick asks. Yes, Bridget replies as Nick rushes over to hug her. After some hugs and kisses, Nick tells Brooke that his wife said yes! Brooke asks Bridget about the concerns she had about doing this last night. Bridget thinks she was just being selfish, but now she's all excited about the joy Dominick will add to her and Nick's lives. Nick agrees that he'll be happy and kisses Bridget again. Brooke says she's happy for them and hugs Bridget, looking toward Nick over Bridget's shoulder. After Brooke leaves, Nick and Bridget sit on the sofa, where she tells him about her visit with Felicia at the hospital. They agree that there are some details to work out, but Felicia was relieved that she had agreed to do this. This will change their lives, Nick says. But for the better, Bridget replies. Nick admits that he had feared that she would say no to Felicia. She confesses that she was going to, but then she saw him feeding the baby this morning. She knew then that she couldn't deny Nick the chance to have a life with his son. He hopes she's not doing this for him. She says she's doing it for him, and for Felicia and her and especially for Dominick. After seeing him with Hope and RJ, she knows he's a natural father, and now she has a chance to let him prove that with his son. She just wanted to have a part in making that happen. Nick says she IS a part of that, and he thinks she'll be a great mom. They exchange "I love yous" and hug and kiss.
