Stephanie warns Nick that he has to tell Bridget about Felicia.
In the Forrester CEO's office, Stephanie is unsuccessfully trying to get information about Felicia from the hospital. After she hangs up, Nick drops in. She asks how things went with Bridget. He tells her that he didn't get to tell her yet, and he wants to be clear that he doesn't want Stephanie to use that as a reason to go tell Bridget herself. She asks if that means he doesn't intend to tell Bridget. He says that he does, but he couldn't do it last night. When he came home last night, Bridget asked him for one drama free night without complications. He thought he owed it to his wife to give that to her, given how the news that he has a son will turn their lives upside down. If he stalls, Stephanie warns, telling Bridget will only get harder. Nick says he wanted to tell Bridget this morning, but she had already gone to the hospital. But he will tell her, and he's here to tell Stephanie to make sure that he in fact is the one to do that. Stephanie says she has no issue with that, since she loves Bridget and knows how much Bridget wants a family with him. But she has to accept, Nick explains, that Felicia and Dominick are part of their lives now, too. Still, he knows this will be a shock to Bridget, which is why he can only hope they get through this.

Nick wonders if Stephanie is keeping something from him.
Nick asks Stephanie if she's worried about Felicia. Stephanie admits she is, because she knows waiting is easy for Felicia. Nick asks if she's talking about how Bridget will react. If anyone can accept that baby, Stephanie says, it's Bridget, given what she went through thanks to her mother. Nick asks her to leave Brooke out of this. Stephanie only wishes she could, since Brooke has done so much to hurt Bridget. Nick reminds her that he's equally guilty of that. And Bridget forgave him and Brooke, Stephanie says; she hopes that faith isn't misplaced. Nick assures Stephanie that things are over with him and Brooke, and that he's committed to Bridget, but Stephanie is skeptical. He asks why that is, since Brooke wants his marriage to work as much as he does - and it IS working, since he's where he wants to be. Stephanie asks if he loves Bridget that much. He says he does, which is why he wonders how she will react to the news of the baby. He wants to think positively, though, especially for Felicia's sake... that is, unless there's something Stephanie isn't telling him.

Eric talks with his lawyer, Gregory, about his plan.
In the basement office, Eric meets with his attorney, Gregory, and with Brooke. Gregory asks Eric if he's sure about his plan. Eric says he is, but Brooke still has her reservations. She asks Eric if he's willing to risk Stephanie's wrath when she finds out how he deceived her, because more and more, she [Brooke] isn't. Eric asks Gregory if this is doable. In theory, the lawyer says, it is, but he has to wonder if Brooke has a point. Eric thinks Stephanie will go along after the groundwork he's laid. He thinks Stephanie is already seeing his "coming around" to her point of view, and he'll have another chance to let her see that when he has dinner with her tonight. Brooke points out to Eric that she's the loser every time they tangle with Stephanie. Before Eric can answer, Taylor walks in and sees Gregory there. She recognizes him as Eric's attorney. Eric explains that Brooke is being unreasonable again, so he... He stops himself and says that he's had enough of this, so he asks Gregory if they can get out of here before he says something he regrets. He and his lawyer leave.

Taylor admits she's not surprised by the tension between Eric and Brooke.
Alone with Brooke, Taylor notes how hostile things are between Brooke and Eric. Brooke agrees that she can barely say two words to Eric lately without setting him off. Taylor doesn't think that's surprising given how Brooke treated Eric. Brooke says she didn't want to hurt Eric. Taylor says that Brooke never wants to hurt anyone, but it just happens. Brooke points out that the one who hurt Eric most was Stephanie, who took his company away. She thinks that Taylor, if she was honest with herself, would admit that. And since Taylor is Stephanie's best friend, Brooke thinks Taylor is the best person to talk to Stephanie and get her to stop this madness.

Brooke asks Taylor to stop the madness while she can.
Taylor says she's tried. Brooke tells her to try harder. Taylor accuses Brooke of looking out for herself by asking that, but Brooke says she's not thinking about herself. Taylor thinks Brooke ALWAYS thinks about herself and is worried about what she'll do if Eric comes around to seeing things Stephanie's way and turns his back on Brooke completely. She bets Brooke is worried that Eric and Stephanie will reconcile. Brooke asks if Taylor heard that Eric is taking Stephanie to dinner tonight. Taylor says she hadn't heard, but she thinks it could be interesting if that dinner brings Eric and Stephanie back together in a way nobody ever anticipated, least of all, them.

Eric, meanwhile, has changed into a suit and has arrived early at the mansion. Stephanie is surprised to see him. He says that he hoped he could have a drink with her first. Stephanie offers him a martini, since she just made some. He thanks her. She then asks if he's seen Felicia. If she's talking about Felicia's relationship with her French female friend, Eric says, he's respected their daughter's privacy. As usual, she says, he's ten steps behind. She always says that, Eric claims, especially where Brooke's concerned, but he's glad to say that's all changed now. He admits that he's realized a lot of things lately. He sees how he hurt her by shoving her aside for Brooke, who only looks out for herself, no matter who it hurts. He's not proud that he's done that, since doing so has only made Stephanie suffer in ways no wife ever should. He's just sorry that he didn't see how he failed, as a husband, a father and a man, sooner. He regrets all the time he and Stephanie have lost as a result, which is why he hopes they won't waste even another minute by hurting each other. That, he feels, would be his worst failure.

Massimo gets some news from Bridget.
Massimo drops by the hospital to see Bridget. He tells her how glad he was to return from his yachting vacation and learn that she and Dominick had gotten back together again. Bridget thanks him. She tells him that she and Nick are very happy, but she bets there's one bit of news Nick didn't share with him over the phone. There's more? Mass asks. Bridget then tells him that her and Nick's first-born is a girl. Mass is pleased and tells Bridget so. Bridget says that she and Nick feel so blessed. Mass admits to her that he was worried that she and Nick might not reconcile before the baby was born. Bridget admits she was worried, too. But now that she and Nick have gotten past everything that happened with him and her mom, she thinks they can survive anything. She's not eager to test that, however, especially after the scare with the baby. Scare? Mass asks. She tells him not to worry. The doctor says she and the baby will be fine as long as she avoids stress. Mass is sure Nick will help her avoid any stress. Bridget agrees, since the scare made her see just how committed Nick is to her and their unborn child. She knows now how unfair it would be to keep Nick from his own child.

Bridget is stunned by Nick's news.
Bridget returns to the beach house and finds Nick making an herbal foot bath for her, since he heard that pregnant women carry a lot of stress in their feet. Bridget thanks him and tells him about his father's visit to the hospital. She's pleased to tell him how thrilled Massimo was to learn that his first Marone grandchild is going to be a little girl. She then tells Nick that she stopped in the maternity ward during a break today; seeing all the babies made her imagine how happy Nick will be to hold his first-born child for the first time. Nick is silent. so Bridget asks what's wrong. He reminds her how he wanted to tell her something last night. He wants to tell her now. Then the foot soak will wait, she says, telling him to go ahead. Nick tells her that he's let her down again. He thought that was behind them, but life sometimes throws you a curve ball. Bridget agrees that their marriage has been tested, but they both know that's in the past. She thinks they proved that last night. Nick wishes every night could be like last night. But he doesn't think that will happen, and his reasons have to do with Felicia and her return to L.A. If he's talking about Felicia's feelings for him, she says, she and Felicia discussed that. Felicia said she respects their marriage, and Bridget believed her. Nick tells her that there's more, since he found out yesterday that Felicia has a baby boy. Bridget asks how that can be, since Felicia took chemo for her cancer. Nick explains that Felicia was ready to go back to France without saying anything to him about the baby. Stunned, Bridget puts it together and realizes that the baby is Nick's!
