Thorne, Taylor and Dante discuss Eric's change of heart.
At Forrester, Taylor and Thorne return to Thorne's office, where they discuss how surprised they were to hear what Eric said about Stephanie. Did he really say that Stephanie knew what was best for the family, Thorne asks, and that he'd take back everything he'd done if he could? He suggests that Eric had the change of heart after losing control of Forrester. Based on her experience counseling couples like Eric and Stephanie, Taylor wonders if Eric can really be that forgiving. Dante joins them, and he too is stunned when he hears that Eric admitted that he did Stephanie wrong. Dante especially has trouble believing this, after all the things Eric said to Bridget when he remarried Brooke, about being committed to rebuilding his and Brooke's family by marrying Brooke. A marriage that had only lasted a weekend, Taylor quips. Thorne says it was longer than that, adding that his dad has always been Brooke's biggest defender. For his father to suddenly see Brooke the way Stephanie does could lead to his parents making up, he supposes. Taylor and Dante agree.

Brooke still has reservations about Eric's plan.
Brooke is alone in the basement office, looking at a magazine ad for a trip to Hawaii. The ad sparks memories of the trip she, Nick and Hope took to Hawaii when she was engaged to Nick, which are accompanied by the song "Bring It On" in the background. Eric comes in, confident that his plan to get the company back will work. Brooke questions his plan to trick Stephanie, reminding him how she and Ridge tried to bluff Stephanie with "Destiny Designs" and failed. Eric thinks he can make Stephanie believe that he sees Brooke the same way she does, which is what Stephanie has always wanted. Brooke reminds him how his choice to end their marriage was loving and selfless. But Stephanie doesn't know that, Eric says, and he plans to play to that fact. Brooke thinks Stephanie is too smart to be fooled by such a deception. She adds that he doesn't have as much to lose with this plan as he does, but he reminds her that he's also lost his family and his career. Brooke says that the last few months have taught her to stay away from schemes, but Eric is willing to do whatever he must to get Forrester back. He reminds Brooke that Stephanie threatens to take apart everything the two of them and Ridge have built by selling the BeLieF patent, canceling the Brooke's Bedroom line and throwing out anything associated with Brooke. That's why he has to do this. A hesitant Brooke then asks him if that includes hurting Jackie by deceiving her a second time.

Eric siezes an opportunity.
Eric admits that he hates to jeopardize things with Jackie when they just made up, but he can't pass up the opportunity he has. He needs to act now, while everyone thinks he's still hurting from the divorce, by rejecting Brooke publicly. Doing that will allow Stephanie to regain her dignity. Brooke thinks that's pathetic. Opening up other people's wounds usually is, Eric comments, just as he spots Taylor coming down the stairs through the office window. Sensing his chance, he really tears into Brooke, telling her how appalled he is at himself for being so cruel to Stephanie. Taylor moves closer to the door to listen in. Eric laments that he ever threw away the love of a woman like Stephanie, who only wanted to make him happy, for sex and excitement with Brooke. She gave him the means to start this company, he points out. Not knowing that Taylor is outside, listening, Brooke is stunned that Eric would say these things to her. She points out that she brought plenty to the company, too. What she brought, Eric says, he could buy, but what Stephanie brought him couldn't be bought at any price. How could he throw a woman like that away? he asks a disbelieving Brooke.

As a disbelieving Stephanie watches, Bridget listens to Felicia's well-wishes.
In the Forrester CEO's office, Stephanie pushes Felicia to tell Bridget about that thing they were just talking about. They have to get this out in the open, Stephanie insists. Felicia tells her mother to back off. She apologizes to Bridget, admitting that it was hard to learn about Nick's life with Bridget and their baby. Because of her own past feelings for Nick, Bridget guesses. Felicia says it doesn't matter, as she has has no intention of interfering in Bridget's marriage. Stephanie tries to interrupt, but Felicia hushes her. She then tells Bridget that she thinks Bridget and Nick will make wonderful parents, and her only problem is her pain in the neck mother. Bridget gets paged to the hospital, so she and Felicia hug and exchange "I love you's." After Bridget leaves, Stephanie disapprovingly shakes her head at Felicia. Felicia tells Stephanie not to start, but Stephanie tells her how much deception Bridget has had in the last few months. She doesn't think Felicia is doing Bridget any favors by keeping Nick's son a secret. Felicia says that she'll handle this her way, which means no interference from her mother. Stephanie accuses Felicia of once again running away. Felicia retorts that it's no wonder she never wanted to come home, because her mother drove her away, just like she drives everyone away. She storms out of the office.

Felicia tells her mother that she's going back to France.
Felicia makes her way back to the Forrester mansion, with Stephanie right behind her. Stephanie insists to Felicia that she and Nick can make things work, but Felicia doesn't want to complicate things. That's why she's adamant about returning to France tonight, Stephanie thinks it's wrong to take Nick's son away from him and carry him all the way across the ocean. Felicia reminds her mother that she's the one who carried this baby, and she's the one who has been caring for him, with enough love for both parents. She refuses to dump her son on someone who doesn't want him. Stephanie thinks Felicia is making a mistake, because this child has a right to know his family. Felicia says she made two mistakes: thinking she could come back to L.A., and trusting her mother to respect her privacy. Stephanie asks Felicia if she's leaving because she fears she won't be able to leave later. Felicia bids her mother goodbye and storms out.
At Forrester, Jackie points out to Nick that she's never seen him so determined as he is now. Nick reminds her that he grew up without his father and doesn't want to make that terrible mistake with his daughter. Jackie is happy to see him so excited and tells him that he'll make a great father. Nick tells her that he can't remember the two of them ever being this happy at the same time. Jackie makes a point of saying how great it is that his first born will be a girl, but he laughs that he thought he'd have a boy first. That's because they all see their children as little replica's of themselves, Jackie says. But now, Nick says, he pictures a little Bridget running around instead, knowing that he's going to have a daughter soon. Nick's cell phone rings; it's Stephanie, who calls him to the mansion immediately to talk about Felicia. Wondering what can be going on, Nick says he'll be right there.

Nick wants to know what's going on with Felicia.
When he arrives, Nick tells Stephanie that they are all worried about Felicia. Bridget even went over to talk to her, he states. Unfortunately, Stephanie says, Felicia didn't get to tell Bridget the truth. Nick asks what she means. Stephanie starts to tell him that there is something he has to know about Felicia, just as Felicia returns for a purse she left behind. Nick asks Felicia what's going on; she tells him that everything is fine. She knows she was a bit rude at the party earlier, but everything is fine now that she and Bridget talked. She doesn't see any need to stay any more. Nick asks if she's going somewhere. Felicia's going back to France, Stephanie says, but she doesn't think Felicia should leave without telling Nick the truth. What truth? Nick asks. Felicia says it's nothing and asks Nick to leave, but Stephanie interrupts and tells Nick that Felicia gave birth to a son - HIS son!
