Eric urges Brooke not to back out on him.
In the Forrester showroom, Eric and Brooke are waiting for the others to arrive. Brooke tells him that she's still unsure about his plan, but he tells her that everything is working so far. If he's talking about Taylor showing up outside their office earlier; Eric thanks her for picking up on his tone then and sufficiently confronting him. Brooke still feels that using deception isn't the right way to get control of Forrester back, since it's only doomed to backfire. This is his only option, he replies, to convince Stephanie that he sees Brooke as "the same opportunistic harlot that [she's] always been." Brooke is taken aback hearing those words. Eric assures her that he really doesn't feel that way. Brooke doesn't even want to hear those words, but he tells her that it's the only way to get Stephanie to return control of the company to him. Once that happens, he promises to give Brooke her due, so he urges her not to back out on him now.

Thorne, Darla, Taylor and Dante witness the tension between Eric and Brooke.
Thorne, Darla, Taylor and Dante arrive, so Eric turns his back on Brooke. The foursome observe the tension in the room and wonder how Eric, once Brooke's defender, now can't stand to be in the same room as her. They wonder if the cramped working quarters are starting to wear on them. Eric approaches them and says it's time to start. Looking at the models, Thorne says it looks like they did already. Eric reminds them he has a wedding to get to in Genoa City (Lauren Fenmore's wedding to Michael Baldwin on Friday's "Young and the Restless"), so he thought it was important for them all to be on the same page now that they're under one roof. With some in more comfortable offices than others, Brooke quips. Thorne asks where Stephanie is. Eric says he wanted to get the input of the rest of them first, so he shows off his latest designs. Thorne and Dante notice the understated sophistication and restrained elegance of the designs. It shows Forrester's new focus in nodding to women's intelligence, Eric says. So he wants this to work? Taylor asks. Eric admits he would not have done this were he in charge, but he won't dismiss the idea as being without merit, either. Taylor and Darla notice Brooke being quiet and asks what she thinks. They're a bit modest for her taste, she says. Does that mean she thinks Eric is caving to Stephanie? Thorne asks. Those were his words, Brooke says, not hers.

Dante asks Brooke what she means by "too modest." She says she likes to push the envelope, and she doesn't think these designs do that. But she's not a designer, Eric says. Brooke says she doesn't have to be to see him compromising his vision. Eric says he's not doing that at all; he just sees two factions in this company and doesn't want their customers to be confused by the separate visions. So he intends to waste his talent by designing to fit someone else's vision? she asks. He doesn't see anything wrong with returning to Forrester's roots of dignity and elegance. Brooke doesn't, either, but she doesn't think Eric is doing that here. She thinks he is giving in to Stephanie's hang ups about sex. In Brooke's opinion, sex sells, so it's wrong to equate sexy designs with lose morals, and she can't believe that everyone here, especially Eric, has bought into that.

Brooke isn't thrilled by Eric's designs.
Eric says he hasn't bought into anything. But these designs are safe, Brooke argues. And safe can't be sexy? Eric asks. Not on the runway, Brooke says. And what about in the bedroom? he asks. He'd really like to know that, based on the chaste life they lived during their most recent marriage. Brooke is shocked. He asks if he's embarrassing her. She says he's embarrassing both of them. By admitting what a mistake it was to get involved with her again? he asks. She asks if he's calling her a mistake. She's been called worse, he says. By the less than objective Stephanie, she laments. He asks how objective she would be if another woman seduced her husband and stole her family away from her. Brooke thinks they should save this for another time and get back to work, but Eric won't stand here and let her take any more pot shots at his designs. Brooke leaves. Eric apologizes to the others for having to hear that, all because he was so naive. He then leaves. Thorne says that he never thought he'd see his dad want to wash his hands of Brooke. Taylor can't believe it either and asks for his cell phone so she can call Stephanie. She gets voice mail, so she leaves a message for Stephanie to come down and see what she's waited years for: seeing Eric finally turning his back on Brooke!

Bridget gets a visit from Jackie.
Jackie drops by the hospital to see Bridget to see how things went with Felicia. She's wondering if Felicia is still enamored with Nick, or is there's something else? Like they suspected, Bridget says, Felicia has not gotten over Nick, especially since Nick was there for her during a difficult time in Felicia's life. Jackie reminds her that Felicia has been gone for almost a year, so she finds it odd for Felicia to come home and still be enamored of Nick. Bridget asks what else it could be if she is wrong. Jackie is at a loss; she knows her son is a hard man to get over, but she has to wonder about Felicia's timing. Felicia promised she wasn't there to make trouble for Nick or to disrupt his marriage, Bridget explains. In fact, she recalls, Felicia said she respected what she and Nick have and wished them and their baby girl well.

Nick wants to know if what Stephanie said is true.
At the Forrester mansion, Nick is stunned to hear that he has a son. He asks Felicia if this is true. Stephanie says that it probably seems impossible, but it is true: Felicia has come back from France with Nick's son. That's impossible, Nick says. She asks if he's referring to the chemo. Nick turns to leave; Stephanie asks why he's going. He tells her that he and Bridget made a pact to stay away from her. Even if it means walking out on his son? she asks, reminding him how that baby boy is in the guest house right now. Felicia scolds her mother, who reminds her that this is Nick's child. Nick can't believe that and tells Felicia to look her mother in the eye and tell Stephanie that they don't have a child. Felicia tries to duck the issue by asking Stephanie why she's lying to Nick, but Stephanie refuses to go along with the charade. Nick tells Stephanie to stop hurting Felicia, who asks Nick to leave. Stephanie tells Felicia that Nick isn't going anywhere unless Felicia is honest with him; she thinks Nick has a right to know the truth, even if Felicia is lying to protect Bridget, Nick and their marriage, because that boy deserves to know his father. Nick asks what's going on; Stephanie tells him to do the math and ask how old a child conceived by him and Felicia would be. About 4 months old, he says. Exactly, Stephanie says - which is why this is his son.

Felicia smiles as Nick bonds with his son.
Nick asks Felicia if it's true; she's silent at first, but when he says that he had a right to know, she asks if he wanted to know. He thinks that he'd want to know if he had a son. Felicia says he must hate her; he says he doesn't. She tells him how it wasn't supposed to happen, with the chemo. When it did, she had reasons not to tell him, but those don't matter now that he knows. He thinks about how Bridget will react. And that, Felicia says, is why she has to leave tonight. She turns to the door, saying she's sorry, and opens it, and finds Renee there with the baby. Seeing his son, Nick asks to hold him. Felicia nods to Renee, who gives the baby to Nick. He sits down and comments on the boy's strong grip. He asks if the baby is healthy; he is, Felicia says. Nick looks at the boy and sees that the baby has his eyes. Felicia sits down next down next to Nick, pointing out that the baby is smiling at him. So this is what it feels like to look right in the face of an angel, Nick comments. He kisses the baby on the forehead as he and Felicia look at each other and the baby, smiling.
