Stephanie arrives home just in time to take a call from Taylor, who has been looking everywhere for Stephanie. Stephanie says she just got home, since she was with Felicia. Felicia walks in and, upon hearing her name, motions for her mother to keep quiet. Taylor asks Stephanie if she's coming in; Stephanie says she'll be there soon and hangs up. She then asks how the baby he is. He's napping, Felicia says, lamenting how this was the longest she and Dominick have been apart since he was born. She missed him so much that she wanted to hug him and hold him, but now she's letting him get his rest. Stephanie says she knew the baby would be fine, which is why she wanted to wait in the hospital for Felicia's test results. Felicia says that she didn't want to waste time waiting for the results, since worrying won't change anything, and neither will talk about it. That's why she wants Stephanie to keep the tests, and Dominick, just between them. Stephanie is surprised that Felicia doesn't want to tell anyone about the baby, but Felicia wants to give Nick a chance to deal with that his way. Stephanie asks Felicia when she plans to tell Nick about her illness. Felicia says there may not be anything to tell. If there is, Stephanie says, there should be no secrets. Felicia doesn't want to think about that now, since she wants to think positive; as far as she's concerned, she's in remission, since the alternative is something she just can't face.

Felicia tells Nick that she's no threat to his marriage.
After Stephanie leaves, Nick drops by to see Felicia. She asks why he didn't call first. And give her a chance to say no? he asks. He asks where the baby is. Felicia says he's asleep in the guest house with Renee. Nick wants to wait until the baby is awake, to keep an eye on him and his mom. Felicia reminds him of her promise not to leave and of her reasons to keep the baby a secret. But she didn't know about him and Bridget until she got here, he says. She reminds him that he had feelings for Brooke when she left for France; once Taylor returned, she assumed he would me with Brooke. She assumed wrong, he says. She says she doesn't want her baby to be a duty for him, but he says his son is no duty. He wants the boy in his life. And is Bridget OK with that? Felicia asks. Nick tells her that he didn't want to ruin his quiet night with Bridget by telling her last night, but he intends to tell his wife when the time is right. Nick sees that Felicia looks tired and asks if she's OK. She says she just didn't sleep well, although the baby did. Nick wants to make clear that he's in love with Bridget and is committed to their unborn child. Felicia says she knows, but that doesn't mean she's over him. Still, she wants him to know that just having him in Dominick's life is more than she hoped for. And that means she and Dominick are part of his life, he says, but he wants to be clear about his marriage. She promises that she's no threat to his marriage.

Nick asks Felicia how things are with Stephanie.
Felicia tells Nick that she doesn't want to make trouble for him, since that's her mother's job. He guesses that they're still butting heads and asks if there's a chance that the baby can bring her and Stephanie together. Felicia thinks he shouldn't let Bridget hear him say that, as it could make her nervous. She has nothing to be nervous about, he says, Just then, Renee brings Dominick up to see his mama. Felicia takes him and hugs him, showing him that his daddy he is here. She asks Nick if he wants to hold Dominick; Nick says yes and takes the baby. Felicia then gets a call from Dr, Nomura, asking if she can come down to the office. She asks if he can give her the results over the phone; he says he prefers to do this in person, but Felicia says it's OK. The doctor then gives her the news: the cancer is back and they need to resume chemotherapy immediately. A tear rolls down Felicia's cheek.

Taylor has news for Stephanie.
Stephanie (now wearing a different suit) arrives at Forrester, where Taylor greets her. Taylor asks if Felicia is going to take the job. Stephanie says they shouldn't count on Felicia right now. Taylor offers to talk to Felicia or have Thorne do it, but Stephanie doesn't want her youngest daughter to feel pressured. She then asks about the news Taylor mentioned in her call earlier. Taylor says she may not believe this, but she thinks the close quarters of the basement office is creating tension between Eric and Brooke, where Eric is finally seeing Brooke for who she really is! Stephanie doesn't believe it; if there's tension, Stephanie says, it's because Eric and Brooke are mad at her, not at each other. Taylor tells Stephanie that she saw it for herself, along with everyone else in the building. Stephanie thinks it's just a phase, but Taylor disagrees. After seeing Brooke insult Eric and his designs, and seeing Eric counter by bringing up their dirty laundry from their short, unconsummated marriage, she thinks things have gotten personal between Eric and Brooke. Stephanie says that Brooke has never had qualms about airing her dirty linen in the office, but Taylor reminds her that Eric brought it up. She's sure there's a rift between Eric and Brooke. Stephanie says she has to see this for herself and heads downstairs to look.

Thorne wonders if his parents could be making up.
Thorne drops by Stephanie's office; finding Taylor there, he sits down with her for coffee. Thorne tells her how exhausted he is from helping Sally move in; he thinks losing Spectra took an even bigger toll on Sally than her fall did. Taylor is sure Sally will be fine, since she's a fighter. Speaking of fighters, Thorne asks if she has seen his mother. Taylor tells him that Stephanie just left to get a look of the situation between Eric and Brooke first-hand. Thorne admits that he can see why his mother would be skeptical, since his father has always supported Brooke. But that may have changed, Taylor says. And it would be a relief if it did, Thorne says, since he would love to see his parents getting along again.

Brooke still isn't sure about Eric's plan.
In the basement, Eric shows Brooke a document his lawyer, Gregory, drew up while he was at Lauren's wedding. Brooke still has her doubts about his plan. It's one thing for him to fool Thorne or Taylor, she says, but she can't see Stephanie overlooking the history that they share. Eric agrees that it's risky, but he thinks Stephanie is vulnerable enough to return the company to him. Brooke warns him not to rush this. They don't even know if Stephanie has heard about their fighting. He's sure Thorne and Taylor, with the way they feel about Brooke, have told Stephanie by now. Brooke wonders if Thorne and Taylor bought their fighting. Eric thinks they did, especially after Brooke's pained reaction. Brooke says that was because his comments, even if he was acting, were hurtful. Eric assures her that he didn't mean those things and only said them to make it believable. Brooke admits she had her doubts. Eric assures her that this is business, not personal. Just then, he sees Stephanie coming, so he motions to Brooke to follow his lead. Brooke then launches into a fight about a hemline and about the changes Eric has been making. She thinks their clients would not accept any more changes since Stephanie scrapped the "Reunited" campaign. That would have been scrapped with their marriage, Eric says as Stephanie listens from outside the door. It's just that Stephanie realized that before the rest of them. Brooke says she's worried about HIS vision, not Stephanie's. His vision is quite clear, he says, now that he sees how much of his self respect he's given up to sell sex. Where's the self respect in giving in? Brooke asks as Stephanie decides to go inside.

Eric tells Stephanie that he doesn't forget the good times they had together.
Stephanie asks if there's trouble in paradise, since she heard them fighting. Brooke bets Stephanie enjoyed hearing that; she thinks that Stephanie stuck them down here together to frustrate them. The only frustration Eric feels, Stephanie speculates, is that Brooke didn't put out when they recently wed. Eric asks where she heard that. Everyone in the building knows, Stephanie says. Eric sends Brooke to accounting with some papers. As a frustrated Brooke leaves, Eric tells Stephanie to get to the point with what she wants and leave. She tells him that she's spent time with Felicia and asks Eric to do the same. She wants him to feel free to drop by the house any time. He says he'd rather see Felicia someplace else. He asks Stephanie to leave. She says she just wanted to see how things were. After she buried him down here with Brooke? he asks. Tossing down his pencil and the sketch he was working on, he tells Stephanie to leave him alone. When he goes to pick the sketch up, he knocks a framed family photo up. Stephanie is surprised that he hasn't air-brushed her out of the photo. He likes to remember the goof time, he says, unlike her, and to think about when they were happy.

Stephanie isn't sure what to make of Eric's change of heart.
Stephanie looks at his latest sketch. He tells her to save her criticism. She says she likes it. Brooke didn't, he says, since she wanted to change the bodice and add a plunging neckline. Brooke never understood elegance, Stephanie says. Eric says he sees that now, and he's seen a lot about Brooke over the last few days, He wants Stephanie to know that he's sorry. Stephanie asks why that is, when he was defending Brooke just days ago, He says that he's asked himself why he thought Brooke needed defending, and he's ashamed of how Brooke has played him again. Does that mean he sees Brooke as she does? Stephanie asks. He sees now how Brooke has hurt her and made her angry. He gives Stephanie the sketch as a symbol of their first step in a new direction toward elegance, since he's starting to see that her vision has merit. He just wishes he would have offered this olive branch sooner. Stephanie thanks him and leaves.

Brooke comes back and asks Eric why Stephanie just looked so shock as she left the office. Eric thinks he found a chink in Stephanie's armor that exposes how vulnerable she is, which is a lot more vulnerable than he thought she was. She had a dozen chances to cut me off at, he says, but she didn't. Brooke warns that he is the one who sounds vulnerable right now. Eric admits he's walking a fine line, but this has to be done, and he has to do it to get his company back.I'm going to do it. I'm going to get my company back.

"Don't you mean our company?" Brooke asks.

"Of course, our company. I'm going to get OUR company back," Eric says to a puzzled Brooke.
