Hope decorates the Christmas tree.
Taylor drops by Brooke's house. While the women talk, Hope decorates the Christmas tree. Brooke asks if Taylor is there on business. Taylor says she'd never come to Brooke's home to talk business and compliments Hope on her pretty decorations on the tree. Brooke sends Hope to find Catherine and bring some cookies they backed for Phoebe and Steffy. Once Hope's gone, Brooke guesses that Taylor is excited about her first Christmas with her children in years. Taylor admits she is, but she's also been thinking about Brooke, Hope and RJ. She explains that Thomas and the twins can't imagine the holidays without Brooke and her kids, so Taylor is here to invite them to come over on Christmas day.

Brooke is surprised by Taylor's invitation.
A surprised Brooke admits she's been wondering how Christmas would be this year, with Eric and Stephanie at odds over Forrester. Taylor says that she's invited them, too, since it wouldn't be Christmas if it wasn't totally dysfunctional. Brooke smiles and tells Taylor that she'd like to spend Christmas with the children. Taylor thinks it would be good for Hope. It would be good for everyone, Brooke adds. Taylor agrees. Taylor then gets quiet. Brooke asks if something is wrong. Taylor admits that she had a hard time believing Brooke when Brooke said she was over Ridge recently. And now? Brooke asks. Taylor admits that, having been rivals with Brooke for so long, it's hard to see Brooke any other way. Brooke tells Taylor that even though they don't share the same vision for Forrester, they understand each other as mothers. Smiling, Taylor agrees.

In the hospital, Felicia watches Bridget holding Dominick. Felicia admits that putting her son's needs first has changed her life in ways she never dreamed. She wants to give her son the world in return, but she can't. Nick comes over and tells her that their son will always be loved and cared for. Felicia thanks him and says she's grateful for that, but she thinks their son needs a mom's love, too. She looks to Bridget and asks if Bridget knows what she means. Bridget doesn't answer and instead suggests to Nick that they take Dominick home and put him to bed. Nick takes his son and walks out of the room, leaving Bridget and Felicia alone. The two half sisters look at each other before Bridget leaves.

Eric and Stephanie come to see Felicia.
Soon after, Eric and Stephanie come by. Stephanie tells a surprised Felicia that she had to tell Eric, since he is her father. Felicia is glad to see them. Stephanie asks if the tests are back. They are, Felicia says, and there's good and bad news. The good news is that she's coming home tomorrow, but the bad news is that the cancer has spread. Eric and Stephanie are confused; they ask her how she can come home if she needs to treat the cancer that's spread. Felicia tells them that she's declined the chemo treatments. It's too late for them to help her, anyway. Things might have been different six or eight months ago, but her son would have died had she done the radiation then. Choosing her son was the best decision she ever made, she says. She only wishes she could be here to watch him grow up. Stephanie tells her not to give up; she defiantly says that there has to be some doctor or procedure that can help. She leaves the room. Felicia jokes to Eric that her mom is being true to form; since Stephanie can't control her life, she's trying to control her death. That's the only way Stephanie knows, Eric says. He asks Felicia why she won't try the chemo and give everyone some hope. And then she'll be tired, throwing up and unable to even hold her son, Felicia says; she refuses to rob her son of what little life she has left.

Felicia wants an old fashioned Christmas like the family used to have.
Felicia tells Eric about his beautiful grandson. Eric regrets all the time he's missed out with Felicia and wants to make it up to her. Felicia reminds him that she wouldn't have Dominick had she not gone off on her own. No one promised them that life was a bowl of cherries, she quips. Stephanie returns, frustrated with the lack of answers she got from Dr. Nomura. She wants to call in another oncologist. She asks Felicia if there's anything she needs. Felicia says she wants a Christmas like they always had, with a big tree, carols and even Eric's awful egg nog. Of course they can have that, Eric says, asking if there is anything Felicia needs. Felicia says she wants her son to live with Nick and Bridget; Nick is willing, but she fears that Bridget isn't ready for such a huge responsibility.

Nick and Bridget return to the beach house with Dominick. Nick holds the car seat, complaining about the Japanese instructions; he laughs that it's good he at least speaks the language. Bridget hands him the baby and says that she doesn't know if she can do this. Holding Dominick and talking to him, Nick thinks his son is doing OK, even if he's hungry. Bridget asks him to imagine how she feels, having his ex-girlfriend come back from Paris with a son he didn't even know about in tow. And as if that's not enough, Felicia's cancer has returned, because Felicia refused treatment to have a healthy baby, risking her own life for her son's. That took a lot of strength, Nick says. Bridget agrees, lamenting that all Felicia wants is for the baby's father and his new wife to take the baby in. That shouldn't be such a big deal when the mother has terminal cancer, right? She feels like a terrible person to feel this way. Nick tells her that she's not a terrible person and points out that this is a lot for all of them, especially Felicia and Dominick. Still, he reminds her, he is Dominick's father. Felicia says she knows that, which is why she doesn't have a problem with bringing him home for one night. But that's not what Felicia wants. Bridget knows he and the baby share a bond as father and son, but she's not the boy's mother and doesn't even know if she can be.

Nick recognizes the choices he and Bridget have to make for his son.
Bridget guesses that Nick is disappointed in her; it's just that she's having her own child, which should be the most important thing in her life, so she feels pushed aside for someone else's baby. She realizes that Dominick will be part of Nick's life, but what about the child she's carrying. She knows this may sound selfish, but can she divide up the love and joy she has for their child? Nick thinks it's understandable, since as a mother, it's instinct to put her own child first. Bridget feels like her dreams for the two of them and their baby have been ruined now. But it doesn't have to be, Nick says, since he knows she has enough love in her heart for two children. Bridget doesn't know if she's ready for that. She fears that this is too big a decision to make in one day. Nick agrees. Bridget starts to go on some more about how unfair this is, but she stops when she realizes what Nick just said. He tells her that he agrees that this is something they need to take one day at a time, so he suggests they just forget everything for now other than feeding Dominick and getting him to bed. Speaking of which, he asks where the diaper bag is. When Bridget says it's in the car, Nick starts to go out, holding Dominick. Bridget says it's cold out there and suggests he leave the baby with her; Nick hesitates but hands her the baby.

Bridget is unsure if she can raise Dominick.
Bridget asks Dominick if he knows how much his daddy loves him. She says that he probably doesn't even understand her, so how does she explain that he's going to lose his mother? She laments that she has her own child on the way to worry about. She asks him why he to be so sweet; she wants to help him, but while it's not his fault, she just can't do it. She fears he'll have to live somewhere else. Nick comes back in and asks where they should put the baby down. Bridget looks over at the pink bassinet. Nick tells her that they'll get through this together, but a tearful Bridget whispers that she doesn't think she can.
