Sally's caught in a lie.
At Spectra, Darla asks Sally why she is in a wheelchair. Sally first says that she was tired from her dogs barking, so Clarke was giving her the royal treatment today. Darla doesn't buy that. Clarke tells Sally to come clean; Sally then admits that she tripped getting out of the shower and fell, hurting her leg. She claims that the pain is nothing serious, so it's time Clarke got her out of here. Darla tells Sally to stop right there and explain why she tried to keep her accident a secret. Sally says there's been enough bad news here lately. But they're family, Thorne reminds her. Clarke says that Sally didn't want them to worry. Sally agrees that she didn't want to bring Thorne down when things were going well for him. She and Darla recall how they were the smartest and sneakiest pirates around. Sally remembers how hard it was for her, as a woman, to take a rag shop and turn it into a contender. After all that, she thinks it's time for her to have a good time, so she asks Clarke to take her to the boat. Before Clarke can wheel her out, two men in white uniforms arrive. Sally tries to lie that these men are from the cruise line, but one says that they're here to take Sally to her new home in Happy Acres. Darla says there must be a mistake, since Happy Acres is a retirement home! This woman isn't going to a retirement home, Thorne says.

Thorne and Darla make a decision about Sally.
Darla guesses that Sally's not going on a cruise. A nursing home is nearly the same, Sally says, since both are places to meet people and enjoy organized activities. Clarke says that Happy Acres is one of the best assisted living facilities in the state. Thorne asks Sally why she didn't just hire a nurse. She says that she can't afford one after paying their creditors. Thorne offers to hire one for her, so Sally admits that she can't take care of herself and needs round the clock care. One of the men from Happy Acres assures Sally that they offer excellent care. Darla can't believe this is happening. The other Happy Acres man tells Darla that her mother will be happy at their facility. Darla says that she's not... She then pauses before responding. She says that this is wrong, so she's not letting Sally go to a nursing home. Like Thorne said, Sally IS family, so she insists that Sally move in with her and Thorne. Thorne asks Darla if she's sure; she says she is. She owes this to Sally, who found her in a nursing home and made her a member of her family. Sally tells Darla that she doesn't owe her anything, but Darla disagrees. She thinks she needs Sally, as does Alexandria, so that Sally can give Alexandria the same confidence she gave to Darla years ago. She'll do anything to make that happen. With an offer like that, Sally asks, how can she say no? She and Darla hug.

Nick can't find a chance to tell Bridget the truth.
At the beach house, Nick stokes the fire and recalls finding out that Felicia gave birth to his son. Meanwhile, Bridget ends a call to her dad, who's in Genoa City at Lauren Fenmore's wedding (on The Young and the Restless) and joins her husband. She apologizes to Nick for the call; she hated interrupting her dad's fun at the wedding, but Eric hadn't spoken to her since he got to Genoa City. She bets Nick will be the same way with their daughter, always calling to check up on her, and can't wait. She then realizes that she's been going on again, so she tells Nick to sit down for dinner and tell her what he wanted to say. Nick suggests they sit on the couch instead; it's not bad news, he says, but he knows what she's been through with the baby, and... Speaking of the baby, Bridget interrupts, she saw her doctor, Dr. Caspary, today at the hospital. Nick scolds her for being on her feet so much at work, but she says she's trained for that kind of physical stress. It's the emotional stress that she's not trained for that she needs to watch for, but she thinks that's going to change now that they're waiting for the baby to be born. Talking about the baby makes her see how much she's enjoying this quiet evening alone with him. She doesn't want to ruin that, so she asks Nick if what he wants to discuss can wait until tomorrow. Nick agrees that they can talk about this in the morning.

Bridget asks Nick to make love to her.
As Bridget and Nick enjoy their quiet time together, Bridget tells him that the doctor told her one more thing today. After reviewing the tests and the ultrasound, the doctor thinks that Bridget's cervix problem isn't as bad as she first thought. That's great, Nick says. And it gets better, Bridget says, since the doctor said it's OK to have sex now. She asks Nick to make love to her. Soon after, they are lying in bed, basking in the afterglow and listening to the waves. They better enjoy that sound while they can, Nick says. Bridget laughs that any child of his will cause a ruckus, so she wonders if this baby will be a little angel or a holy terror. Who can predict? Nick asks. As an example, he points to how much better their lives have gotten in the last few months. Whenever things get crazy, he says, they come through them stronger, and he wants Bridget to remember that. That's pretty philosophical for a man of few words, Bridget quips. Nick says he doesn't want anything to come between them, and he doesn't want to lose her. He won't, she assures him, since she knows their love can handle anything as long as they're together.

Stephanie tries to help Felicia after Felicia collapses.
At the Forrester mansion, Stephanie calls out to Felicia, who starts to stir and asks for her purse. Stephanie finds some pills in the purse and asks if this is what Felicia needs. Felicia asks her mom to sit her up. Stephanie does that and then offers Felicia some tea. She then guesses that the pills are painkillers and asks Felicia what's going on. Felicia says she's OK, but Stephanie doesn't buy it. She offers to call an ambulance; Felicia doesn't want an ambulance to scare Domnick and instead asks her mom to drive her. When they get there, a doctor named Normura examines Felicia, who thinks her pain is a combination of her being tired. The doctor wonders if the cancer could have returned. Felicia says it hasn't, but the doctor wants to run some tests just to be sure. Felicia wants to get back to her son, but the doctor insists on the tests and goes to get them done quickly.

Felicia tells her mother that the cancer hasn't returned.
While they wait for the results, Stephanie asks Felicia what's going on. Felicia explains that she could not continue with her medication or chemo once she found out she was pregnant, since the treatments could have an averse effect on the unborn child or on the pregnancy itself. The doctors worried that the stress of the pregnancy could weaken her immune system. But she didn't listen, Stephanie guesses. Pregnancy didn't weaken her, Felicia explains; in fact, it made her stronger, and having Dominick gave her a reason to live. Stephanie reminds her that she collapsed; she wants Felicia to stay here in L.A. so she can help care for the baby while Felicia tends to herself. Felicia assures her mother that it's not cancer. Stephanie suggests waiting for the test results, but Felicia remains sure that she will be here to care for her son. She tells Stephanie how she dealt with the perception that cancer is a death sentence by meeting with some cancer survivors who told her that they felt healthier after their chemo treatments than they did before they even had cancer. She's sure it will be the same for her. Stephanie just wants to prepare Felicia for the worst.
Felicia says she will do whatever she has to in order to beat this. She knows she can do it, as she did it before. Stephanie says she knows that, and she also knows how stubborn her daughter is. She says, "I love you, baby," and hugs a tearful Felicia.
